I agree! Love my Seaside Serenade seratta cape May in my Arizona zone 7b/8a garden. Absolutely maintenance free with large dark green leaves on strong stems which bloom all summer!❤
Your garden is absolutely gorgeous! I agree that our neighbors get to enjoy our garden as much as we do. My neighbor right across the street from us said she felt like she should come work in my garden since she gets so much enjoyment out of it for "free". So, she bought me a few plants one year. I thought that was so cool!
I really enjoy your channel. I just got started making some bed big enough for hydrangeas. I hope next year the ones I have now will start to look as nice as yours.
I also succumbed to the siren song of the ice blue bog rosemary at Lowes earlier this year and bought three of them as well (including one that I got on clearance). Sadly, two of them died back completely, even though they were in full shade and I watered them almost every day. One was in a bit more sun, so I moved that into a shadier spot and that one somehow still has a few blue branches on it, so I'm going to see if I can limp it through the winter. I think I was really pushing it trying to grow it down here in Maryland, 7A, but they were just so gorgeous while it was in bloom that I couldn't resist. What I don't understand, though, is how the Lowes employees were able to keep them looking so good in full sun. Maybe I should have tried to plant them in a container instead of the ground.
Soleil, your gardens are looking so lush and lovely! I thank God for all the beautiful late-season rain we've had here in Zone 5a. My fall garden has new growth and is flowering again also. What a wonderful blessing.
What a treat this morning - your gardens are stunning and so lush! You have such an assortment of many different plants that always keep the eye moving to see what's next around the corner. Your fountain garden is gorgeous with the hydrangeas filtering the sun. Calendar-picture perfect! Thank you for sharing - I know it's a lot of blood, sweat and some tears, but we appreciate you sharing.
Thank you so much for taking us along this tour! It was so relaxing! A few weeks I joked about you missing a spot that was lined up perfectly. Well you made up for it 10 times over! The dabbled sun on the hydrangeas was stunning! The garden is beautiful! Until next time...
Oh wow! I love love love this video & your garden. Your hydrangeas. Oh my. Gorgeous! I wish you were nearby… I’m having fun starting my garden! Thank u for sharing!
I just had a brain fart! We have wool in the barn from our sheep we had years ago and I just recently heard that wool is great for your gardens ! I’m going to be adding the wool around my plants that need more moisture, also as it breaks down it adds nutrients to the soil, a win win for me! 🌺💚🙃
Hummmm ! I have a few month old holly also that seems to be not growing at all !! I loved the tiny leaves and hardiness of it. I dont want to wait ten yrs for it to be grown !!!
The gardens are looking amazing! I love the combinations you made. The back yard is my favorite. I’m taking notes on some of your ideas. I’m so glad you share the names. 😊
Another great, enjoyable garden tour. I wait to deadhead my liatris because the chickadees and finches love the seeds. Unfortunately, I find myself pulling all the little unwanted seedlings in the spring.
magnificent garden! Have you considered the possibility of planting a bush instead of a not very happy weigela, a variety of which is not present in your garden? I mean Philadélphus, there are varieties with a strong aroma, there are varieties with double flowers. It is unpretentious, you can choose a suitable variety in height and have either a bush or almost a tree in the garden
One again thank you for the tour. It gives me a lot of ideas for my garden. One plant I would like to add to my garden is the tree that appeared in the beginning of the video. It was left of the ice bog rosemary plants. Thanks again. Anita
Thanks fjord sharing in zone 5, can’t wait to see what you do for fall. When do you plant tulip bulbs?? Will you start new ones in pots indoors or just plant outside? Our winters can get treacherous. Looking for tips to over winter a few flowers. I’m a new at this.
I never thought that I would say this but I’m doing a lot of editing in my garden this year. I have one area in particular that is so boring it’s driving me crazy. Absolutely no color right now, nothings blooming and too many same old same olds planted in that spot. It’s time to do some juggling.🌺💚🙃
Gorgeous garden!!! I’ve watched 6 of your videos back to back. Love the content! Do you cut your hostas back or you just allow them to go doorman’s and come back in the spring?
The garden is looking so nice Soleil Please send some water up into the sunny Okanagan, Canada. Especially West Kelowna and area. Over 11000 hectares on fire. Socked in with smoke hard to get out and water the yard and pots. Trying… so sad many houses and beautiful gardens gone. Thank goodness we have been lucky. Must stay somewhat positive! 💚🌺🌿💦💦💦
Your garden is gorgeous. Do you manage the size of your larger Hydrangeas that are in smaller beds by pruning during the bloom season? For example the Pinky Winkys and Quick Fires?
Beautiful garden tour. I’m new to your channel. There’s a ground cover I see repeated in parts of your garden. Is that geranium macrorrhizum? I have several varieties of hardy geranium but none have spread that much. Do you have another video where you talk about the geranium m.?
I absolutely love your garden tours and so much appreciate the details that you give of all the plants! Question: I have 2 Vanilla Strawberry hydrangeas that were planted just last year and they have bloomed really well but they are flopping very badly! Do you have any suggestions? They are literally laying on the ground at this point 😮 Thank you, I appreciate your sharing your beautiful garden with us! ❤
Incredible garden!! Can you share what variety of hosta that is at 1:02 in your video right next to the fence? It is beautiful and different from those in my collection. Thank you!!
So Beautiful, Love the garden walks. and sure gives me great ideas to do. the phlox at 2 min is so pretty. mine get that mildew so bad. do you do anything to stop that? not sure what all causes it, I have some in different places in my yard and all get it. uggggg Genie
Hey Genie, some varieties are much more prone than others. I tried quite a few before I found ones that were mildew resistant in my area, but it was worth the effort! The David and Laura phlox I have rarely get it. 😀🍀🌼🌸
Beautiful as always! I really enjoy your lush gardens. I do have a question. Where do you get your rocks from? I am on a hunt for landscape rocks, but they don't have them at the big box stores.
Lovely tour as usual. I bought the Paul’s Glory hosta after seeing your video 😊 The urn planter that has the Paul’s Glory - is it plastic, or stone? Approximate diameter? Where did you get it? Also, is the hosta in full shade, or how many hours of sun does it get? I am in zone 7a/7b by the way. Thanks!
Soleil; Any way I could convince you to post your thumbnail photo somewhere, in a form where I could save it to my phone? That is sheer beauty I'd love to paint, watercolor, stitch, or just feast upon, digitally. You could exhibit a collection of your photos of your garden -- Be it digital, in a digital "book" or "magazine" (called SOLEIL), Or a printed book (rather costly upfront), a collection of enlarged photographic prints, or a gallery exhibit. Incidentally: Do the deer just roam the streets of your suburban neighborhood, grazing in your front gardens?? Do they limit themselves to the sidewalk?? Here, fences are for privacy. There -- deer mitigation?
I never thought about doing anything like that, but I do have an Instagram account you can follow where I put up photos fairly regularly! Our fence is for privacy and deer and because it is required when you have a pool. 😉🍀🌼🌸
Beautiful gardens! Please tell me about the large beautiful topiary in your favorite part of the garden near a beautiful panicle hydrangea (in the last 3 minutes of the video). What kind of conifer is that?
I don't think people give Monrovia hydrangeas enough attention and credit. Many of their hydrangeas I planted in my garden are top-tier. ❤
Agree, which ones do you grow that you love and in what zone? 😃🌲🌼🌿
@Suburbanoasis Seaside Serenade Hygrandea is my favorite in Zone 8 Georgia. It is spectacular.
I agree! Love my Seaside Serenade seratta cape May in my Arizona zone 7b/8a garden. Absolutely maintenance free with large dark green leaves on strong stems which bloom all summer!❤

Amazing 😻 from Tennessee
I am going to get mulch haven't done nothing in my yard but weeds everywhere
A beautiful garden tour, so amazing to see the sun hitting the hydrangea absolutely gorgeous!
Ой,как красиво.Умница.Увлечена своим садом.Очень красиво.Очень!
i can't even imagine how much work you've put into your garden. With I had your energy. Beautiful😅😅

I don't think they like clay soil. The two I got last year are doing great though so sometimes you never know! 😉🍀🪴🌼
Soleil, your gardens are looking so lush and lovely! I thank God for all the beautiful late-season rain we've had here in Zone 5a. My fall garden has new growth and is flowering again also. What a wonderful blessing.
Wonderful! Glad to hear you are enjoying it too! 🥰🌺🪴💐
I just love the sound of the train in the background and it goes without saying, I love your gardens. I get many ideas from you.
There is something soothing about the train! 😉

Looking great!
I so enjoy your garden. Thanks for sharing!
It is simply beautiful.
I love your garden tours! I especially like the shady areas since half my garden is in shade.
Shade gardens are so beautiful and calming! 🤗🌺🌼🌻
I so enjoy going with you through your beautiful garden. It is so hot here in Mobile, Al it is hard going out in my yard. 100 plus high humidity.
Oh wow! That's hot! 🫣🌿🌼🌸
Thanks Sunshine. Everything is beautiful, thank you rain! 🌺💚🙃
I see the hard work and thoughtfulness you've put into this gardens evolution. It's absolutely lovely.
Thank you for your kind words! 🤗🌲🌸🌺
Gorgeous Soleil 🍃🌸🍃
Gorgeous. I love the assortment of different hydrangeas. Making a list of more hydrangeas to get from seeing how they grow for you.
Thank you for the wonderful tour. Your garden is so beautiful.
I love the sleeping bees 🐝 🐝🐝🐝
I love the way you blend textures!! ❤❤
Thank you!! 🤗🪴🌼🌸

It's hard to be patient! 🙃🍀🌷🌺
I had my coffee cups come back this year in Indiana, very much a pleasant surprise since they dont generally over winter in my area.
Wow, that is amazing! 🤩🪴🌸🌾
Everything looks fabulous! Love the rose tree, a the cedar topiaries! 🌳🌹🌳
Hydrangeas are my favorites, most that I have are from cuttings, and they didn’t give me any flower, I hope next summer.
I hope so too! They take a little time. 🥰🌺🪴🌹
Thank you for such a beautiful tour of your garden!
The gardens are looking amazing! I love the combinations you made. The back yard is my favorite. I’m taking notes on some of your ideas. I’m so glad you share the names. 😊
Thank you, Pamela! There is definitely more room to garden in the back. 😉🍀🪴🌹
Another great, enjoyable garden tour. I wait to deadhead my liatris because the chickadees and finches love the seeds. Unfortunately, I find myself pulling all the little unwanted seedlings in the spring.
Oh no! Maybe I will trim them since I already leave the coneflowers for the finches. 😉🍀🌴🌺

That is actually a burning bush that I limbed up to look like a small tree. 😉🪴🌹🌼
Absolutely beautiful ❤❤❤
Your yard/garden is gorgeous! 💚
Thank you! 😊
I’m in southern Missouri and I’ve never had a reblooming iris rebloom 😊 and rebloom daylilies are sporadic
I have had others say the same, not really expecting much so any surprises are just a bonus! 🤗🌺🌼🌸
Garden looks very nice!

I usually end up planting bulbs in November but sometimes it is sooner depending on the weather! 🤗
Your garden is beautiful!
I never thought that I would say this but I’m doing a lot of editing in my garden this year. I have one area in particular that is so boring it’s driving me crazy. Gorgeous
I recently painted several different shades of lavender roses.
Gorgeous garden!!! I’ve watched 6 of your videos back to back. Love the content! Do you cut your hostas back or you just allow them to go doorman’s and come back in the spring?
I try to let them go dormant as they are easier to clean up I'm the fall that way. 🤗🪴🌼💐
The garden is looking so nice Soleil Please send some water up into the sunny Okanagan, Canada. Especially West Kelowna and area. Over 11000 hectares on fire. Your garden is gorgeous. Do you manage the size of your larger Hydrangeas that are in smaller beds by pruning during the bloom season? For example the Pinky Winkys and Quick Fires?
No, but the pinky winky is only a few years old so it will get bigger and I will prune it. 🥰🌺🪴🌹
Beautiful garden tour. I’m new to your channel. There’s a ground cover I see repeated in parts of your garden. Is that geranium macrorrhizum? I have several varieties of hardy geranium but none have spread that much. Do you have another video where you talk about the geranium m.?
Yes it is. I don't have a specific video on it, but it is an excellent ground cover and easy to remove if you no longer want it. 🤩
I absolutely love your garden tours and so much appreciate the details that you give of all the plants!
Question: I have 2 Vanilla Strawberry hydrangeas that were planted just last year and they have bloomed really well but they are flopping very badly! Do you have any suggestions? They are literally laying on the ground at this point 😮
Thank you, I appreciate your sharing your beautiful garden with us! ❤
Takes a few years for the branches to harden, unless you are watering or fertilizing too much, which can cause weak limbs. 🤗🍀🌷🌿
Beautiful! How do you keep weeds and grass out of the mowing strip along your stone borders?
Hubby uses his string trimmer along the edge! 🥰
Incredible garden!! Can you share what variety of hosta that is at 1:02 in your video right next to the fence? It is beautiful and different from those in my collection. Thank you!!
Oh, there are three different varieties there. One is definitely great expectations, can't recall the other two...😍🍀🌼🌸
Beautiful garden. Great job sister.

@dennymeyer1287 the opening act series of phlox have also been mildew resistant, I have only had them a few years.🙂
Beautiful as always! I really enjoy your lush gardens. I do have a question. Where do you get your rocks from? I am on a hunt for landscape rocks, but they don't have them at the big box stores.
Check with some local landscaping companies, they should have various types. 🤗🍀🌼🪻
Do you protect your heuchera for the winter? I added a few to my shade garden this year.
Besides the mulch there already, I do nothing! 🙃🌿⚘️🌸
So beautiful! What is the name of the hydrangea at 38:50? It's stunning!! 🥰
That is the Vanilla strawberry hydrangea by first editions shrubs. 🤗🍀🌷🌾
@@Suburbanoasis Thank you! I bought one this year and I hope it looks like yours in a couple years! 🩷🩷
Lovely tour as usual.
I bought the Paul’s Glory hosta after seeing your video 😊

Also, is the hosta in full shade, or how many hours of sun does it get? I am in zone 7a/7b by the way.

The urn is some kind of composite, maybe 20 inches wide? and the hosta gets morning sun only. 🙃🏵💐🌻
What a wonderful garden!
Thank you!!
Simply beautiful.

Beautiful garden, do you have hosta that grows in sun. If you do can u give me names. Thanks
One that can take some sun is Patriot Hosta.
How often do you feed your hydrangeas and with what
I feed them once a year with rose tone or flower tone from espoma. 🤗🍀🪻🪷
That hydrangea with the phlox was probably mislabeled. It looks like quick fire not pee gee hydrangea
It's definitely a peegee standard! It does look very similar this year to a quick fire. 🤗🍀🌼🌻
@@Suburbanoasis ok. All the peegees I’ve seen in person and online didn’t have lacecap florets and were drooping
@@jjjohnston545 I agree, I have seen them like that as well!
Beautiful gardens! Please tell me about the large beautiful topiary in your favorite part of the garden near a beautiful panicle hydrangea (in the last 3 minutes of the video). What kind of conifer is that?
I believe you are referring to the arborvitae that I topiaried because it didn't want it to get as tall as it will over time...
@@Suburbanoasis How wonderful! Thank you! I’ve never seen such a beautiful topiary. I may try it
I bought a lady head planter last week now Im trying to decide what to plant in it. Any suggestions?
