The XR, especially now in this trim makes all the other bikes in the range obsolete, especially for road use. Even the original XR was much much quicker in the real world than both the R and RR, this thing will just walk all over them now.
@@AntaresSQ01 Sure, but I'm a sport bike type of rider. Style is also important to me and the R and the RR are more aesthetically pleasing to me. Not that I dislike the XR, I just love the other two a bit more. :)
This bike looks amazing in the M Sport colours. Black hides all the amazing body work. I was at Motorrad today to book service on my S1000R, and the black S1000XR on the showroom floor was nice but indistinct. I know this M has the delicious, spicy powertrain, but you need to offer it with the tri coloured paint. The bike is absolutely stunning with the red white and blue colourway.
I second this. Why put black on a bike like this? It needs flashier colors to highlight the edges and contour of the bike. A white red and blue package would be slick!
I learned to ride with motocross, so the upright "attack" position was what felt natural to me. I never liked the leaned over sport bikes, so I got a naked sport, because it was more in a riding position I like. Even though I have a R1250GS, this looks like the perfect bike to replace the naked sport and the only other bike I'd ever need...besides the GS, I'm never getting rid of that.

I have 75k kms on my triple black xr in three years now. by this time next year, it will have a 100k and be up for replacement. Please keep the triple black, so i can switch without my wife noticing!!

Excellent bike. I owned the xr, but now where I live we can enjoy such a powerful bike on a road. On track yes, but too expensive just for few weeks by year !

Top , hammer , atemberaubend. Seit ich auf BMW umgesattelt bin macht das Motorradfahren noch mehr Spaß. Davor Suzuki, Aprilia und Ducati. Die M 1000 XR macht mich platt. Die Doppel winglets , das schwarz mit dem Carbon ist echt nice. Genau meins :) İch bin bei den Bikedays von BMW schon die M1000R und GS Adventure 1250 probegefahren, wollte eigentlich auf eine GS Adventure von meiner S1000R M 2022 umsatteln aber nun kann ich auch noch ein wenig warten. Die normale XR hat schon dampf und ist handlich. Bin auf die M 1000 XR gespannt. Mir gefällt sie bis jetzt auf jeden Fall... Das video ist super gemacht. Es sind schon vor ner woche Bilder im BMW Forum von der TT aufgetaucht. Aber das video ist ja mal genial . Super , freu mich drauf.

As my XR is already the best one.... M is tempting me a lot, even I want to keep my S for still some years... but let's see what comes out and driving experience will be!! Smells like a beast ... but comfort must remain as S version. Well done BMW team, Bravo!!

I rode sport v4s for over 30 years, bought the xr 20 model when it came on the market because I wanted to get rid of the forced sport mode, but keep the sporty thrill.... (Age?...) Since riding the XR, I've changed my mind about inline 4s. This is the best bike I have ever ridden. I wonder what made m even better :)

I ride an 18 s1000r, approaching 60,000 excellent km. Did a track day at Sydney Motorsport Park a couple of years ago and met a guy on an 18 s1000xr. He was quicker than most, including me. They are great bikes.
Currently riding my 23’ S1000XR w/M pkg absolutely love it and will upgrade to the new M1000XR never owning a BMW before it has been one of my biggest joys technology is fantastic!
Lets go BMW!, this M1000XR is the super touring bike like the super SUV X5M & X6M competition, can't wait to see the M-XR got the 200+ HP shift-cam engine from M-RR, and maybe the competitor (Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak) is now having 170 HP non-Desmo V4, the engine will be changed by Desmosedici Stradale with 208+ HP like Panigale V4R, lets wait and pray for the battle of tall superbikes~

Euro spec. Indicators and rear light integrated into the tiny indicator housing. Drivers behind you cannot see you indicate - especially when braking. What’s wrong with a regular rear light and dedicated indicators like every other bike?
Do you work for BMW? Just ask real riders. Ask GS owners who have bought Weiser Technik indicators that light up the whole indicator rather a few tiny dots when indicating. Ask the car driver who nearly ran into the back of me and when I stopped him, told me he couldn’t see me indicating. What was wrong with the previous BMW indicators or the rear light on the Gen 1 XR? They worked perfectly well.
Having owned and raced a couple of S1000RRs (and my keeper, an HP2 Sport) and returned to the R1250GS but feeling a little bit bored by it, this might move me to change,... but you say "prototype", so two questions (1) when would it come out and (2) please say it will be available in BMW racing blue/white/red...

I was never a fan of this touring body style of bike but the more I look at the XR, it makes want to trade in my S1000R. It looks so good! 😆

First the M1000R - Competition package and now the M 1000XR? I love my R1200GS and now I'm going to have to add one or both of these motorcycles to my garage as my motorcycle family is destined to keep growing! Looks like having enough money for retirement is going to take a bit longer than planned. Retirement is probably overrated anyway!

Please put a proper rear light and indicators on this and the S1000XR. Drivers behind you cannot see you indicate.
Is that a U.S. version?
In Europe all BMW bikes come with 100% LED lights, can’t miss the brightness of those.
Euro spec. Indicators and rear light integrated into the tiny indicator housing. Drivers behind you cannot see you indicate - especially when braking. What’s wrong with a regular rear light and dedicated indicators like every other bike?
@@MH-xd2nd All the LED lights on my S1000XR can be seen from the moon, even in bright sunlight.
What are you talking about?
Do you work for BMW? Just ask real riders. Ask GS owners who have bought Weiser Technik indicators that light up the whole indicator rather a few tiny dots when indicating. Ask the car driver who nearly ran into the back of me and when I stopped him, told me he couldn’t see me indicating. What was wrong with the previous BMW indicators or the rear light on the Gen 1 XR? They worked perfectly well.

Having owned and raced a couple of S1000RRs (and my keeper, an HP2 Sport) and returned to the R1250GS but feeling a little bit bored by it, this might move me to change,... but you say "prototype", so two questions (1) when would it come out and (2) please say it will be available in BMW racing blue/white/red...
