The indomitable climate of Salusa Secundus, your home, always matches the fighting spirit of its sons and daughters. You, as well as thousands of other warrior spirits before you, are preparing to ascend and become at last an Emperor's Blade. But the path is not easy, the challenge is brutal and merciless, but you are a Sardaukar and the Emperor of the Known Universe expects nothing less from his legions. That's why you find yourself among these secluded ruins, conditioned by you to become your outpost, to train again and again until your bones break and start again. Thus, you will be ready for the day when you will be purified in the baptism of blood and join your brothers and sisters who make up the Emperor's blessed army. Blood calls to blood and the Sardaukar do not fear death. You hear the imposing clamor of the trumpet of the Corrino palace, the sound of which is heard all over the planet. You turn to where you hold your sword. Suspended in a field of energy, that is the sword that has been passed down from generation to generation in your family and whose steel longs to drink blood again. Now, it is yours and it is up to you to prove yourself worthy of that legacy. So go and stand up. Train and fight until you become a true son of the Sardaukar. Glory to the Emperor!

The Sardaukar throat singing scene was what sold the 2021 movie for me. It really captured that sinister, otherworldly feeling that the books give you

I missed the first half of it because it was right after the halftime break and I was still on the bathroom; the queue had been so long due to the movie's length...happened again with Part 2 😒
Same. The movie would’ve had a completely different feeling for me personally as well if that scene was cut out or missing. There was one or two other scenes and shots like that but you’re correct , other worldly indeed.

A massive army of soldiers that worship battle and practice blood rituals in order to prepare for battle embodies exactly what their mentality would be in the film. This captures that brilliantly.

Remember from the movie how the Sardaukar are able to stand emotionless in the rain on Salusa Secundus? Just imagine if you or I did that, we wouldn't last 5 seconds. But the Sardaukar can stand there for hours. It just goes to show you that's why they are so disciplined and elite fighters.
This is a great piece, I actually enjoy meditating to the Sarduakar chant because it feels like it touches something primal in me. This, with the storm and throat singing which has the same effect, I couldnt ask for a better mix. Great work.

@@matmosphere495 So what? He pieced it together with great visuals and still put effort in. That's all that matters. Your favourite music producer has probably ripped off hundreds if not thousands of sounds that weren't originally his. Who cares? It sounds good and is presented well.

If someone had read the novels, Sardaukar wasn't this kind of Uruk-Hai freaks depicted in the new movies.They were great warriors,but also human and civilizated.The Emperor Padishah had the rank of Burseg,a High Commander of the Sardaukar armies.
I think you're thinking of the Harkonnens. The Sardukar were certainly not depicted like orcs in the new films, but I get that they deviated significantly from the books in their depiction.

The fact that the only lyrics we know (which are at the beginning of the movie and the opening lyrics if you listen carefully) of the Sardaukar chant is "Dreams are messages from the deep" makes us wonder about the rest of the song. Whatever it is, it must be some truly deep and spiritual lyrics. Unfortunately there is no official translation.

Most of it I after the movie sounds like it's from Huun-Huur-Tu a famous and one of my favourite Mongolian throat singing bands.
