Good evening Ricky J. fanatics, thanks for attending my post where we tally up the results of your favorite (And not so favorite) wrestlers. I’m the Wrestlemaniac829, and today we see if Bret Hart can live up to his motto of tackling the best the company can throw at him… which are essentially Bret’s rivals.
Some fans know him best for his tag team run as part of the ‘Hart Foundation’ and others can still recall the success he had as a singles wrestler. But many others may also know of the infamous ‘Montreal Screwjob’ which some say basically ‘ruined’ Bret’s entire career, and thereby demonstrating he’s his own worst enemy no matter what side of the story you prefer. Either way, Bret’s ‘The Best There Is, Best There Was, and Best There Ever Will Be’ has been such a mainstay for wrestling fans even Natalya started following that motto (And she’s had a fairly decent career over the years). Up till now, we’ve been wondering if there is ‘one’ competitor who can manage to survive an onslaught of twenty nine competitors not only wanting a slot in the champions’ rumble but also to give Bret the last laugh for their own misfortunes. As a result of what we’ve been witnessed to, the last man standing would be none other than…
The Undertaker, arguably one of the fiercest competitors that anyone has ever stood in the ring against. While Bret Hart may not have fought The Undertaker at a Wrestlemania event, it can be made certain that the two have butted heads on several occasions. I wouldn’t go as far to say that perhaps The Undertaker was Hart’s greatest opponent he has ever faced, but I am most certain he gave him a run for his money on numerous occasions. The Deadman now moves on to represent one of the strongest competitors most likely to win this final champions’ rumble. He may not have been the one who eliminated Hart during this match, but let it not be said that The Undertaker is not a man to keep an eye out for.
But who was my MVP of this Hart against the world rumble? Let’s get down to the numbers:
Of the thirty men featured in this match, EIGHTEEN competitors secured the most eliminations. The highest count of the night reached up to ‘4’ eliminations, which is three points higher than the average ‘1’ elimination.
I give the Golden MVP Award for ‘coolest’ performance to:
Bret ‘The Hit Man’ Hart
Even though Bret didn’t win this rumble, and arguably didn’t last as long as Michaels in the last rumble, despite taking the licks this man kept on ticking. Scoring the highest number of eliminations when needed, Bret proved that you don’t have to be the biggest man on the block to score the most eliminations. Even for fans who may not be Bret Hart fans, we can’t deny that the spirit he offers when he competes still thrives as the spotlights all over the arena.
The Dull Participation Medal for the ‘lamest’ performance goes to:
‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin
Austin may be the man who can whip Hart’s ass ten times over any time they are in action, but sadly we wouldn’t get to see the Rattlesnake get his chance. Compared to the other competitors who didn’t perform as well tonight, this was not a great night to be a ‘Stone Cold’ fan. There’s always a shot at redemption somewhere down the road, but for now this just wasn’t Austin’s best match.
Another man fails to survive against an onslaught of talent and their loss paves the way for the Undertaker to score a position in the upcoming champions’ finale. What little we know of what remains of this season, we can only ask several questions: Which men would ‘you’ like to see tackle twenty nine of their best competitors? Will it be modern favorites like Steve Austin or The Rock whom both have history against each other? Or will it be The Ultimate Warrior taking on twenty nine of his toughest opponents in history? Or… in light of a certain documentary, will it be Vince McMahon against the twenty nine men with a long history against the ‘No Chance in Hell’ boss? And the biggest question of them all:
Who’s next? Until the next match, this has been the Wrestlemaniac829… ciao!
If you do the Vince McMahon rumble, you should rig it for McMahon to come in at 30, that's what he would do!
gotta be honest this ruined the video i scrolled down 4 a second saw this...bummer
The 1994 took place in my home state so it's in mine mind Rickey J. Bret lost the tag team title match with his Owen against the Quebecers. Owen would turn on his Bret and attack his knee, but Bret had the co-winning the rumble.
That's the one where Owen kicked Bret's leg out of his leg
Kane vs. 29 rivals, but with a mask.
When Bret "quit" WCW, it was meant to set-up a program between he and Goldberg for the WCW, but before that storyline could unfold, Owen had his accident.
6, 7, 8 men in the ring at the same time is hard enough and you want 12 total in the Ring all at once in the Rumble Match? Good Luck Bro.
One thing I've learned watching wrestling over the years, Ricky, is to always express skepticism whenever a superstar announces their intention to either quit or retire for they always return in some form or another or end up resuming their vocation in another company. Same thing with a match where one's career is on the line.
Lets do The Road Warriors in a Tag-Team Rumble against 28 famous tag-teams with the Bushwhackers,British Bulldogs,Rock-N-Roll Express,Wild Samoas,Hart Foundation,The Freebirds,Young Bucks,Hollywood Blondes,Dudley Boys,Nasty Boys,Demolition,Steiner Brothers,New Age Outlaws,Hardy Boys and Harlem Heat.
23:22 I remember thinking Bill Goldberg and The Warlord were the same person, and here they both are in the ring together, and the way they're lifting their opponents right here makes it look like they're doing some team work
Bret Hart owns a bar where I live, in Calgary, Alberta and it's called Hitman's Bar. I just applied for a part-time job there. Haven't heard back yet, but it would be sweet to work there as a wrestling fan. I heard that Bret drops by the bar occasionally 😃
The dead man,the only one alive in the final five.
Bret Hart was the best technical wrestler ever
Growing up in the late 80s, I was only interested in wrestling for about a year, and Bret was my favorite wrestler by far.
Nice man
@@RickyJSports I went down the wrestling rabbit hole, like 18 months ago and learned about the Montreal screwjob only recently. That's was super wild man! I can only imagine being a fan of Hart at that time.
They way I button mash is use my thumb hit the button about 4 times and then throw the controller off the wall because I realized the button tapping wasn't helping me at all lmao.... Great video as always Ricky
Hi Ricky, thank you for the video. For submissions, you should cancel the submission before getting reversed by pressing L1 (I think that's the button) because the superstar is often going to end up reversing you, especially if they're fresh like it's the first time you apply the sharpshooter, and of course you can't just hold on to it for ever. So it's better to cancel the sub yourself right before the other wrestler reverses you that way you still end up "on top". Hope this helps.
Thanks for the info!
Some of my All time favorite in this: Bret, Dyamite, Steamboat, Owen, Perfect, Savage, Austin. Great cast.
Goldberg eliminating Bret!!! Man worst outcome!!!
Lol I know man but maybe it was fitting lol
What about a rivals rumble where its the biggest rivals that come back to back. For example Austin vs Mcmahon, Andre vs Hogan, Shawn vs Bret, Mankind vs Taker etc
Shawn Micheals and Chris Benoit won the Rumble at #1.
Edge 2021 and the first to win the Womens Rumble from №1 Rhea Ripley 2023 .
How bout Jericho against his 29 rivals including AEW guys if possible?
Stone cold vs 29 would be fun
Glaring omission.. British Bulldog. Greatest Summerslam match ever.
@Ricky J Sports you forgot about one of the greatest bret hart rivals....Hakushi
Nice
March 29, 1999
Monday Nitro
The spear
Finally the regular Undertaker won a rumble.
You should do Karl Winslow at #1 in the earlier seasons Karl came in at #2 and you went all the way. Maybe you can do it at #1?
The phenom was unstoppable at his prime 🔥🔥great Rumble as always 💪💪
Wow not only did Golberg eliminate Bret Hart he ended his career also. Good Job Bill.
He was very unsafe. No wonder he was dropped
Haha right on
You have to use Flair for one of these. He has more rivals than anyone..✌️
Mens Rumble winners from №1 Shawn Michaels 1995 , Chris Benoit 2004 and Edge 2021
Womens Rumble winners from №1 Rhea Ripley 2023 .
Thanks for doing this lol,,I was definitely a little Hulkamaniac and took my vitamins. I also live near hacksaw Jim Duggan at the time.
I switched the button mash to the hold button and its saved me more than anything.
Triple H, but only with hair)))
Dam that was awesome I love when back and forth and you never know who’s gonna win great job Ricky keep it up 👍🏾 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Glad you enjoyed
Good lineup of Bret Hart rivals. I don't recall Hogan ever doing anything with him that meant too much, compared to all the other storied rivalries (especially the shoot ones like McMahon and Goldberg). 🤓
Always top notch Ricky! The final two is a dream match of mine lol Would love to see Flair vs his rivals, some really great names have went against him.
Thx brother!!
The Global Superstars be coming out on DLC this month, Christian. Does ye be excited?
SMH. Hogan NEVER entered at #1
British bulldog, The mountie, Hulk Hogan, Doink the clown should have replaced macho man, tito Santana, warlord, and Ricky steamboat
Pretty sure Duggan v all his rivals wouldn't be pretty 😂😂😂😂
You should have named Goldberg as Bill Goldberg
How about do Goldberg
I was so rooting for savage to hit the elbow and win it
Ricky J another great rumble. Instead of button mashing, have you ever tried rubbing the button extra fast back and forth? I find it works quite nicely.
Okay inwill try it thx Wilroy
Bret had issues with the G.O.A T. STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN TOO
Hulk Hogan and Brett were never Rivals. Call it Politics, Ego, Hogan was not going to lose to Brett Hart to get him over ever. That’s just how the A Players are.
Hey Ricky, I know I haven't been around much been working on videos of my own, but I really need this favor. If you can please do a R.I.P rumble for me. One of my favorite actors James Earl Jones passed away just today and I tried so hard not to cry but I just could not hold back, but if you can do a R.I.P rumble for your girl, That will really cheer me up and I might try to join your livestream friday and hope you can cheer me up. This hurts so much bro. R.I.P Mufasa aka James Earl Jones. You will be missed but not forgotten.
I'm so sorry Sniper Wolf get well soon ok?
No British Bulldog?
I don't think they ever feudded
@@RickyJSports They main evented Summerslam in the UK together and they also had a great In Your House main event for the world title in 95
When are you gonna do the random stages again, Ricky?
Random stages?
@@RickyJSports Customised, unusual stages. Like on the bridge.
Yes , do Stone Cold with one of these. I like that idea. He famously did it in real life , Royal Rumble 1997 🤓
Yeah but he MORE than made up for his "tainted" Royal Rumble 1997 victory by becoming the ONLY x3 Royal Rumble winner in history! 😂
Oh AND one of the only (thus far) 4 men to be a x2 (back to back) Royal Rumble winner... no, I didn't forget THAT either! 🙂
When you win two Royal Rumble matches two years in a row... you KNOW the company is invested in you!
Too many years too late but they've kind of brought that winning two back to back thing back with Cody Rhodes.
I never understood somebody who already has a Royal Rumble victory randomly winning it again years later like the other x2 winners on the list especially that won it so many years later in the case of Triple H 2002 & 2016, Randy Orton 2009 - 2017, Brock Lesnar 2003 - 2022, Edge 2010 - 2021, Batista 2005 - 2014.
John Cena being 2008 - 2013 is only 5 years apart but still unnecessary if you ask me! 🤷
Correcting myself, Brett and Hogan feuded in WCW but no one remembers it and I don’t know who won in that feud. But I wouldn’t call it a Rival cuz it wasn’t epic or huge to call it a Rival.
I don't think they actually wrestled
Super Cena
Really you didn’t take a chance to take over at number 26. You could’ve been Randy Savage and won the whole thing Ricky J. It would’ve been the second time Macho Man wins The Royal Rumble.
Do Kane and 29 guys he has eliminated in a real rumble
John Cena VS. The World!
Now if some WCW or any other companies characters were to appear at a rumble?
Sure I can!!!
There has only been 3 people to win the Royal Rumble at #1. Shawn Michaels in 1995, Chris Benoit in 2004 & Rhea Ripley in 2023. Bautista is the only person to win the rumble in the same position at #28 in 2005 & 2014. And the only rumble match that Hulk Hogan won was back in 1990.
Wrong!
Hulk Hogan also won the 1991 Royal Rumble so whatchu talkin' 'bout Willis?
THIS is how it goes...
There have been ten x2 Royal Rumble winners... Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, Triple H, Batista, Randy Orton, John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Brock Lesnar & Edge, only four out of those ten are x2 (back to back) Royal Rumble winners... Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, Cody Rhodes, only one of those four men is a x3 Royal Rumble winner... Steve Austin!
AND... I truly do believe that x3 Royal Rumble winner record which Steve Austin holds will never be broken or it might NOW considering the circumstances but I truly believe it's a big thank you from Vince for saving the company back in the late 90's and making it richer than it's ever been, not to mention almost, always having a good relationship with Vince apart from the walk out in 2002 unlike Hogan who may have lead the company through its first boom period but his rocky relationship with Vince over the years has been well documented where as Steve & Vince for the most part have had a great relationship.
I don't watch WWE today but I'm hearing the company are really going with Rhodes.
Now Hogan winning it in 1990 & 1991 was I guess just "the thing to do" back in those days when the Royal Rumble victory didn't really have a reward besides record books and his back to back victories probably would've been received better if the match was as old as the mid 80's however by the time Shawn Michaels had done it, there was a reward for winning it and you could tell by booking somebody THAT strong that the company was really going with Shawn in 1995 & 1996 as Diesel was failing.
Same story going into 1997 & 1998 with Austin, the attitude era was taking off and he was more over than Hulk Hogan's rock n roll wrestling so it made perfect sense to have Austin win the Royal Rumble match two years in a row for the strong booking purpose as they'd previously done with Michaels.
I fucking LOVE Royal Rumble 1999 as a match and as an entire pay per view and as much as I see why they did what they did cause yeah, nobody saw that coming at the time but having Vince win it was kind of a waste of a victory for records sakes now like I said don't get me wrong I know what they were going for AND it was entertaining as fuck but the only reason I say this is because I kind of feel the 1999 & 2000 Royal Rumble matches should've been The Rock's back to back victories!
I guess they not only wanted to have Austin win the title back at WM 15 but do a story where they screw Stone Cold out of the rumble victory so fans think he's not going to get his shot but there's a catch...
The Rock can't win either because Austin's got to TAKE the belt from him at WM 15 so they come up with a plan to have Vince win and just keep Austin's $100,000 elimination bounty.
So now they've got to come up with a reason to eliminate Vince from going to compete for the title at WM 15 🤷🤦
Bret Hart is my second favourite Wrestler of all Time. My first? THE UNDERTAKER! 😎
Mice patty!!
Howdy Ricky j been a min
How r u bro??

Must see tv!!
