I love FreeCAD the world really need a free open source CAD software. I really appreciate everyone working on the project or making tutorials. I believe this will become a huge software and more popular than all competitions
Amazing!! I would like to learn how render in blender after modelling in Freecad. I will be grateful if you could share. You teach very precisely. Thank you.
In version 1.0 and later you now have access to Variable Sets or VarSets. I have found these to be easier to use than a spreadsheet. And since the VarSet caches its values, it makes recomputes faster.
Thanks. The animation at the beginning was made with Blender. The 3D model was exported from Freecad to Blender as .glTF file. If you want to stay in FreeCAD, you can use the exploded assembly workbench (you may have to download it from the addon manager).
Thanks for tutorial. I have a question about Freecad: Based on your experience, is Freecad in aspect of visual quality and metric precision an acceptable environment for daily industrial 3D desing? By daily industrial design I mean not that complex modeling. thanks again.
I think FreeCAD is a good alternative to other softwares if you work as a Freelancer or if you are a 3D hobbyist. You can achieve the same results, but the learning curve is hard. If your business need to hire 3D modellers, you will have difficulties as they are more familiar with Solidworks, Fusion360, etc.
It's also possible to apply texture to the faces of the parts within FreeCAD. It's needed a PNG file with the texture that we want. I've watched a tutorial about that.
Great video, but can you make a video for even more beginners. I have a hard time following the tutorial because my toolbar and side panel is not looking as yours. For example I couldn't finish the sketch like you and I can't find the pad tool. I am also using the 1.0.0 version.
@nikolaypetrov2554 Yes I understand your troubles, the pad operation is in the task menu and it's originally at left. I'm working on a complete beginner tutoriel starting with a fresh Freecad install. Will let you know it when it's done.

A humble thanks to you for this very, very high quality tutorial. Amazing work and content; I learned so much. You definitely got a new subscriber!
Nice usage of FreeCAD, thank you!
Great Tutorial!
I hope you could make more tutorials on woodworking with some joints and fasteners
Just post a new tutorial ua-cam.com/video/oXLrEydllwc/v-deo.html
Superb tutorial.
Thank You!!!
Thank you.
Thank you for this excellent tutorial

Blender its easier than you think

Gran video, muchas gracias.
Great bench Design !!!
It would be great if you could make more videos about woodworking cabinets design.
Thanks, I was thinking to make a simple cabinet fully parametric.
@@deltahedra3D That would be great
@@FrBenoitTarcisius Here the video of the parametric cabinet assembly ua-cam.com/video/oXLrEydllwc/v-deo.html
Nice, thanks !
Great Video
It would be great if you could do a video with Techdraw Workbench with annotations and a part list.
Thanks. I plan to make this kind of video with exploded views for a kitchen cabinet.
@FrBenoitTarcisius You can take a look of my last video about exploded views and parts list ua-cam.com/video/k51YFdXIIek/v-deo.html
Thank you so much for these tutorials for FreeCAD 1.0
I am curious. What AI tool do you use to do the voice-over?
How did you do the render and model exploding at the beginning of the video?. Great tutorial by the way

Nices videos.
I have one question, How can I get my tools bars looks like yours? (interface?
Did you know that it is also possible to create rendered animations in FreeCAD with the Movie Workbench?
👍💪
Great Video and well explained. Can you tell me how did you make a video animation shown on the beginning of the video?
@StefaTGM I made it with Blender which is perfect for this kind of animation.
@deltahedra3D thanks, it looks great can you maybe explain how did you make background like that and textures on object is that done in blender too?

Really nice design an very well executed tutorial. Any chance you make a video of the animation? I guess you used blender.
Thanks, yes I used blender for the animation. It's a very basic animation, with only translations. I may make a video about it.
It's also possible to apply texture to the faces of the parts within FreeCAD. It's needed a PNG file with the texture that we want. I've watched a tutorial about that.
Thanks, I will take a look. I'm most familiar with Blender for texturing 3d model.

@paolomina8302 Go in Edit, Preferences, Workbench and choose Tabbar for the workbench selector type.
@@deltahedra3D Perfect, now it is ok. Thank you very mutch. Have you did a video on new assembly and exploded for Frrecad 1.0 in your channel ?

It seems the Linux Freecad 1.0 does not have the native assembly workbench... :(
@justinahrens1868 The Linux Freecad 1.0 has the new assembly workbench. I'm on PopOS and it runs perfectly.
Please make a video showing how to add a Tech Draw page.
