Surf Fishing Betty's Bay Coastline

Hey guys! Hope you had a great week! Went surf fishing in Betty's Bay and had a great day catching some beautiful Galjoen and even a Crayfish. Although surf fishing can sometimes drag out without any catches I had a pretty exciting day. Bait used was prawn and white mussel, with a 1/0 circle hook. Used my Adrenalin Bluesurf 9000 with 26kg braid and 5oz sinker. Caught in Betty's Bay, Cape Town, South Africa. Hope you guys enjoy the video 🎣🎣🤙🏻

Hi Reinhard 😬😅Tru. Jy sou Dan die prawn video geniet het waar ek verduidelik oor die "guys" maar moes dit delete want mense het blykbaar die reefs lelik oop gekrap en nie gate toe gemaak nie. Johan, - your casting action can be improved which will get your trace out Much further,

Watch casting videos on UA-cam!....
As you begin your casting action, from the side, come Up Over the shoulder, follow through out to about 45° as in videos!
Hold it there for few seconds!
Imagine the pivotal point, which is between both hands!
Punch with the hand above the reel, pull down with the hand below the reel, at the same time!
Begin the cast fast but don't "snap start" the movement, that's how powerful casts break off sometimes!...
Finish off the cast Faster than starting!
The timing is So close and you will improve!
Casting practice is important too, getting used to the particular rod and reel setup!
Then increase power and speed,!....
I can cast like that with both hands; sometimes I practice my casting action with a rod only. ;🎣
You may need a longer rod too, especially where the water is shallow to further out!
You look fairly tall, I imagine a 13ft, 13ft6in, or 14ft rod etc will be suitable for you to cast with! 🎣

Hi, don't be sorry to ask, I have had this question a couple of times. When I needed a rod this was the only one affordable at the time and i got comfortable using it and the adrenalin reel was also affordable and this combo works well for me. I know it's not according to the book but hey if something works and it's comfortable then why not🎣🎣🤙🏻

Hi Justin, I fish mostly from the surf in Betty's Bay, Silversands, Betty's Bay main beach and Dawidskraal, among others. 🎣🎣🤙🏻
