Two Malaysian navy helicopters collided while training for a parade on April 23, 2024 at the Lumut naval base in the western state of Perak. All 10 crew members aboard the aircraft died in the accident, which happened at 9.32am, according to the navy.

There was no way they would had even survived a crash like that, they basically did a freefall in a hunk of metal. Blind spots are scary.

Do these crews not have crew members to spot for the pilots? I’ve been a crew member on ch-47’s and there is no way you should be making a turn like that near any aircraft without getting a clearance from your crew. Pilots cannot see everything up front. Sad and avoidable.

Why on Earth do they have to fly so close to each other? There's no room for any error and the aftermath is tragic as we can witness.
That's air show or well, the training for it for you. Accidents occasionally happens and most of the time, it's definitely deadly. There's also somewhat recent incident of a P-63 colliding with a B-17 during the real deal.

Global humanity should inquire about who the pilots and crew were related to . For example , we're the pilots or ant crew members related to senior government ministers .

I am pretty sure there was an error that will be revealed by investigation. Flying in formations for show has many rules and blind spots are known problems.

A sad incident indeed. But also, goes to question the training and practice of at least one of the pilots.
Learning the hard way about the dangers of formation flying. Two Japanese helicopters also collided and crashed last week.

0:02 The first sighting of the 5 bladed copter with the other chopper seen flying of the starboard side. Both are banking to starboard.
0:05 The second sighting of the 5 bladed copter 1-2 seconds before impact.
It appears at first that All the choppers are performing a 'Break' Maneuver, however this is not what is observed, the choppers in the collision are not flying as part of the formation? It seems that they have turned to starboard away from the group. Perhaps this was planned.
0:22 The second clip of the collision shows the 5 bladed chopper at a substantial degree of bank to starboard. He is also pitched up. All of the other choppers look like they are trying to maintain level flight, including the 3 bladed copter that is in the frame, you can see this in the first video also.
Someone lost sight of someone else during the maneuver, either way they cannot see each other and are flying in their blind spots. Either the 3 bladed copter climbed out to early and lost visual of the 5 bladed copter believing that it was safely underneath them or the 5 bladed copter was struggling to maintain altitude during the turn because it was trying to match the turn radius of the smaller helicopter.
Either way may their souls rest in peace.

It makes you wonder if airshow like this really worth it. You can hear accident like this almost every year. Condolences to all victims.
Parade has nothing to do with it. You want to fly helicopter learn the proper procedures otherwise stay on the ground. There are helicopters everywhere both military and civilian.
You cant even fly properly in a parade for short distance, then will be no way to fly when the real incidents come such as during the combat. What's the purpose of training? And the worst is, lots of people feel angry when you question about this. Is sad, condolences need to comes as well as improvements.

normally in a helicopter crew there's 2 pilot, 2 aircrew, and for this case probably there's also addition of another camera man since its a parade ceremony
