Nice to have some lore on a thing that is both niche as absolutely integral in the oblivion story.
    Good stuff.

lol this is becoming a theme in my videos of me mispronouncing things. Personally I like CHIM better because kim just makes me feel like I’m saying someone’s name.

"I don't think there's much of the antagonism between mortals and magna-ge in Skyrim"
I supposed its if we count Alduin/Akatosh. If the player truly is the Last Dragonborn, the last great mortal body with a divine soul who will change the world, then the time of endings has to be near. The Kalpa will turn. There will be no more Tiber Septims, no more Alessia's, no more great mortal heroes embued by Akatosh to end Elven rule or any other great threats. If Shezzarines and Dragonborn are one and the same, we are actually encountering the end of the era of prophecy (especially with all the elder scrolls scattered and lost) and nothing is certain, bar one thing. Alduin will return to devour the world and all the souls in it and start again, as he was supposed to do.
Though I suppose Akatosh isn't a Magna-ge, but he is of them
Especially bad if the Dragons are sticking around after Skyrim. Should the Dragonborn inevitably disappear between installments, there's once more Dragons flying around with no more mortal dragonslayers able to permanently kill them, and there never will be one again. Well, unless Uriel V comes back from Akavir.

For my money, and even faced with such esoteric dialog (while other cast members couldn't even settle on a stable pronunciation of "Daedra"), Terence Stamp thoroughly out-acted everyone in this game, including Jean-Luc and Boromir. Unbefitting that they should kneel before Zod, but there it is...

He definitely has the most difficult dialogue, probably put the most work into it too

Was the elder scrolls divinky inspired,? Their lore though inspired by religion seems enough of it's own thing to be practiced as a workable religion l

Isn't Akatosh as a god made up by the first human empire? They literally combined the elven Auriel with the human patron god Lorkan.
The amulet of kings is literally a drop of Lorkan's blood from when he fought Auriel and Trinimac. Lorkan aka Shezar is constantly sending avatars in times of need to intervene and protect Nirn. His heart is what kept the tribunal "gods" charged up with temporary divine power and made the dwemer dissapear.
Meanwhile you can see how the snow elves, the number one Auriel simps in the world ended up as abominations and savages.
I think where Mankar Camoran is right is that the one true god of nirn is Lorkan, and compared to him the other aedra are lesser (probably his trusted generals and advisors at the time of creation, but not equals). In other words when you call Akatosh it's Lorkan who picks up the phone. And in general he's the only aedra who comes close to the daedra in meddling with mortal affairs.

I think you may have a couple things confused. Auriel and Akatosh are the same deity but are distinct from Lorkhan/Shezar. Akatosh is a god order while Lorkhan is a god of chaos and change. In the book trials of st. Alessia it’s stated that Akatosh is the one who gives their heart’s blood to make the amulet of kings. At this point Lorkhan has been dismantled and his heart has been ripped out so he couldn’t use it to make the amulet of kings.
