The Bosch is a really nice high end work top for sure I had one in Portugal, although, I didn't find myself wanting to pack it around the house for small jobs and it stayed in the garage where I already had a workbench. The Bosch is $340 US right now and I just purchased a similar B & D WM225 for $49 US ($119 reg) on sale and feel I will use it more often due to it's smaller size. If I didn't have a workbench I'd buy the Bosch, it just depends on your needs.
@ern48 😱😱😱 $340? For real? What are they thinking? This is way too overpriced! The B&D is a very good option! There are many other good options from other manufacturers as well, but we only compared these two (that we already have).
Bosch stuff is good, the Workmate is a great design and has been copied a few times over. Personally I have had a workmate for some years and it’s been a really great product. I use the Green Bosch tools at home as they are well designed and more than enough for most DIY projects. I would say either of these 2 would be a great choice. There have been many copies of the workmate and the Bosch is a good choice too. My only complaint with the workmate is storage of tools while using it, the actual build and the like is very good. As with anything you get what you pay for and Bosch is more than a name, their design of stuff holds up well. The price might not be too different but in honesty either of the two would be worth it. I have seen other designs that are too complex and they probably be best avoided.
Nicely put. It all comes down to what you want to do with the product you buy. We chose the Bosch bench for the things we do, but others might want something more specific for their needs. Overall, the Bosch is a great bench that includes most of the things a DIYer would need. The workmate is well built and cheaper. Others are lighter or bigger or plastic. Our view here was to show what you get if you compare these two. We hope we clarified a few things for potential buyers.
This does come across as biased even if it wasn't meant. The B&D has two heights that you didn't show as does the 825 which would have been a much fairer comparison. Maybe you are looking for a sponsor!
I bought the Bosch on black friday for 100€ straight. Cant go wrong with that. Thx for the Video and nice dog
@Aenkor1982 Thank you! Happy to have helped. We saw a similar discount in the UK on black friday. Great price!

@@RealisticDIYers That was the Amazon price when I commented. I've used my 49$ B&D WM225 several times already and very happy with the purchase.
Brilliant review. Was going for the black and decker but might go for the Bosch now 👍🏽
Thank you so much! They are both very good and each with pros and cons.
I enjoyed watching your video and it's made me think a bit more about getting the Bosch one over the B&D. Thank you.
This was helpful and made me smile.
We are happy to be helpful and glad we put a smile on your face! Thank you!
No way, I was looking for exactly this video!

Thanks, that was helpful.
Thank you. I liked the stability test. I was considering the WM 825 or PWB600
And what did you go with eventually?

your dog is a champion...
Ooooh... yes, he is! We love him so much!

Oooooor, perhaps we didn't consider the two hights.
Everything is biased as people have preferences. Otherwise we would all buy the same thing.
