I think the ever relevant question is "best Christmas gift" for the family member who will likely just keep it in a drawer for most of its life. Simple UI, big easy to find/access side switch, emphasis on sustained outputs (vs throttled), USB built in or magnetic charging, and fills the hand (not necessarily EDC). FC13S and TS26S are at the top of my list, though the FC is a little small. Side note a "2024 Holiday Gift guide" would be cool, "for Mom/family member", "for the mechanic", etc. Thanks as always for your content!
Heck yeah, Olights Black Friday sale is awesome this year and I’ve spent waay too much…lol! I got my RovyVon E30 on sale before Black Friday and I love it so far!
That E90 is great. It’s been my go to for about 2 months. The 5 click lockout is a little annoying with all the weird strobe confirmation. It lasts forever. I use it daily. Just wish it had a magnet.
Hey I gotta chime in here on Nitecore. I have had the EDC25 for 4 or 5 months. It does not cycle through modes reliably anymore. Nitecore’s customer service is abysmal. I’ve only had one Nitecore. It was nice when it worked.
@ yeah it really does. I’m happy things took a turn when they did though. I was about to purchase the edc29 and the p35i. Not now, not ever. Chinese companies in my experience drop the ball on CS. QSP is another one I hate to say. Had issues with the Mokuti penguin pivot. They would not send me a new pivot and ghosted me.
I have the original blue stripe olight i3t what would you recommend as an upgrade, all I really want is it to be usb c but it's not a deal breaker I just need a nice new light same sorta size
One thing I don’t understand is why they replaced one of the bottom LEDs with a second UV. Otherwise it would be a definite upgrade over the e30/90 IMO.
I3t 2 has been great. I was thinking of picking up the Acebeam H16 as a gift. Nice deal with the Nichia emitter. The Wurkkos HD10 has been my go-to headlamp. I dig Anduril 2.0 and USBC charging on the device is convenient and rare for a 14500 based light.
What’s your thoughts of the slim mini flat Nebo light? The O’light flat lights are pricey. I work on aircraft and really hard on lights. Between dropping them and knocking them off due to the magnets not being strong enough. They look like crap within a couple weeks.
Oo, tough one..frankly I don't think any of the flat lights hold up particularly well. Olight still the most durable with best warranty...but try the H10 from Wurkkos. They are far cheaper.
Ugh, that Rovyvon E90 looks fantastic; if it had a physical lockout switch it would be a no-brainer. After fighting with the soft lockout on my Nitecore edc27, I’d have a really hard time buying one without a physical lockout ever again. But dang those side lights are compelling.
That's great to hear! How do you find the mode-cycling controls compared to the EDC27? I find the Nitecore buttons really touchy and loose, like I have a hard time hitting the half-press to mode cycle without turning it off. The EDC29 on the other hand feels a lot better built with sturdier buttons. Just wondering how the Rovyvon holds up.
What are you needing the light for? They are very different beasts with the Warrior being tactical with 240 meter SFT-40 throw and the Baton being 145 meter XHP50.3 flood. In general I agree with Max that the Warrior is superior, but it comes down to what you need. The Baton has a cleaner beam, the shake sensor and more runtime but will also be bigger and heavier. The Warrior puts more light where you point it and has the option of both tail and side switch, but the bezel is a touch aggressive and the LED has a slight green tint.
The E90 is so far pretty good been carrying it for a day or so. Update 1: after i reliezed its IP68 i decided to wash the E90 under cold water on my kitchen faucet thought it went well 10 min later the flashlight starts strobing very fast which isnt a normal function, all by itself and i couldnt stop it. All ports were closed and i promptly dried it after its very light bath. Ive ordered a new one and will try experiment again if it cant hand a kitchen sink bath its a false IP68 rating. Will update when i recieve new one. Update 2: still malfunctioning now for 2 days. Hope its just a lemon because i love the design.
I've recently gotten into watches and I want a flashlight to quickly charge the lume before or maybe in the middle of my time out at night. I've heard UV ones are affective, but I would like a regular flashlight as well. Whats your regular flashlight/ uv flashlight recommendation?
I bought 4 more Olights. Engraving for free is great for Christmas gifts. I should have stock given to me by them. Lol. Man I’m seeing that nitecore on every friggin video. It’s got me curious now.
I have an olight I5r and it is having some intermittent issues. Is there an alternative that is the same size so it will fit nicely in my Main Street Forge pouch. Also thank you for turning me onto Main Street Forge their products are amazing.
Don't sleep on the Pioocan L2. A 14500 made by Wuben with an interesting reflector. 1200 lumens and fairly throwy (advertised at 115M but tested at 180M) with a wide useful spill. The heat on turbo is regulated well. Weak point is the pocket clip.
Aagh.. no more temptation. I've already spent $80 total on a Victorinox Fieldmaster, and a Gerber Suspension NXT. Must not buy more lights.Edit: Curse you.. the Tunenge T21 slipped into my Amazon cart.

Good for 2025, I need more time for that research.

Does yours come on accidentally?
Great deals! My favorite time of year with all the deals

That sucks

I had the same experience with nitecore. No cs.

you can get a USB-C AAA battery from Coast. amzn.to/3Z5P6fI
Just got the Nitecore edc35 and i love it.
I like the RovyVon Angel Eyes E80, the addition of the laser is awesome

Bro can u review the Trustfire mini flat flashlight
I’ll love to see your thoughts
The mini X3 is a great light. I have the HD01 and the arkfeld ultra. The x3 is shorter, slightly thinner, and just straight awesome.
Eventually

so far its come on once in my pocket without lockout but only coming in on low.

Warrior 3 Mini or Baton 3 Pro Max?
Ooo, tough...if you had said pro..then WM3 easily. The pro Max is better for longer term use but the WM3 is my pick for sure

Same, love the three different buttons so you can access everything without too much cycling through the UI
Ip68 is an independent rating, so contact RovyVon to get a replacement imo.
I did.
@@kevinhauser8250 let me know how it goes!
So far replacement is doing great, no malfunctions and Rovyvon s customer service was nice.

Well the E90 has that, but arfeld UV/pro/ultra are excellent for that.
I bought 4 more Olights. Engraving for free is great for Christmas gifts. I should have stock given to me by them. Lol. Man I’m seeing that nitecore on every friggin video. It’s got me curious now.
It's good 👍🏻
I'd like you to make a list/review of flashlights with powerbank function, like Sofirn IF23. if possible off course.
great Idea! not many actually can do that. I definitely will do that as a video.
What's that see thru flashlight in the middle bottom?
Looks like a aurora from rovyvon but bulkier
A28, also on sale..very very good.
@@maxlvledc thank you!

SOOOO many, the Acebeam Pokelit, the new one I showed in the video with magnetic tail. and SOOO many more.
EDC23 for $60. Not going to replace EDC33 as primary carry, but may do well for a more "easy" day.
How to you end up at $54? It shows $60 on my end.
@ You are right, 59.96. I had some amazon credits that took it down to $54.
which one? prices do fluctuate from when I take screenshots.
@ I got the EDC23 from Amz, sold by Lumen Tactical and it is still listed as $59.96. Will arrive tomorrow, or so they say.
do you have a reccomendation for a flashlight that can be mouted in a car and then plugged in?
Olight
Olight seeker 4 pro.
What they said..I keep the Olight Seeker 4 pro mounted in my truck with the horizontal holster

The L2 is a fantastic little light for about 14 bucks right now. I had to get all 3 colors
I'll add it to list
Please review that flat new Rovyvon soon!....
So far it's excellent
Aagh.. no more temptation. I've already spent $80 total on a Victorinox Fieldmaster, and a Gerber Suspension NXT. Must not buy more lights.Edit: Curse you.. the Tunenge T21 slipped into my Amazon cart.
@@michaelhoskins832 hahaha
@maxlvledc did you say 1300 lumens on the VTIGER - That's impressive!
Yep, but not high candella.
@ interesting, maybe I’ll check it out. 🤘 thanks for the video!
Viperade. Pouches/storage in general
I'll add some to the list
