I definitely feel like if Jinx had a significant other this is exactly what would happen given her trust/abandonment issues and how in her mind everyone eventually turns their back on her and tbh I wouldn't even be able to blame her if she acted like this because she's felt the sharp sting of betrayal and abandonment and does not want to feel it again
Ironically, it's possible that I would walk away from her because of this. There are much better ways to go about this. I get that she has abandonment issues, but talking about it is the only way to find out the truth. Even though she'd mean a lot to me, I wouldn't want to see her for a little while. In this case, she created the very thing she feared (just like Anakin Skywalker regarding Padme's death). Fortunately for Jinx, however, she has someone more patient than I am.
