You clearly didn't watch the whole video. After sanding with sand paper he puts the wire brush attachments on the power drive buffer.
So instead of using a traditional edge sander he's using a grinder that also has a wire brush attachment, because he's wire brushing the floor.
So out of nearly 3,000 views you are the only person that couldn't comprehend what the purpose of the video was...mate.
