This is such a good documentary. I'm two years older than you Christian, also a trombonist and have followed your career since I first heard you play in the late 1980s - when I thought that it wasn't possible to hear a trombone played so well - it opened my eyes - and ears! Your journey, which is still going on, is fascinating - and the way people's lives develop is also fascinating. We're all on our own paths and while my path didn't lead me to great success on the trombone (even though I was told by others I would be a success) it has led on to other things musically which have been so fulfilling (piano, teaching, conducting). But you know, I still practice trombone every day and I too exercise every day and I will as long as I can. Because we are both wedded to the trombone, our lives (in my mind) have been going along in parallell - you on a great and exciting musical career and me doing what I do and trying to be the best I can be - and I am convinced that is all you have to do - be the best you can be and give that to the world, whatever it is you do. So thanks for this, my goal is also to be kind and also to be open minded - everything is connected, as you say. Namaste.
Hi Christian. Thank you for this wonderful video. Sharing wisdom and intuition where it comes to life is general and particularly the trombone. I have been following your career since 2006. And you are a true inspiration. I unfortunately had to give up trombone 10 years ago, because of vocational reasons, being a long distance trucker. I have however developed myself and transitioning from a trucker into education and wish to start practicing again and reaching my goals of becoming professional. I have also changed my diet and lifestyle to a plant based diet. I would recommend you watch the documentary What the Health. You will be able to reverse all ailments by acquiring the research Dr Michael Greger did. Kind regards, Ashwin from South Africa.
Great Christian Lindberg, always so inspiring, I still remember my rehearsals and practice on your recordings, your trills, your vibrato, your precision and clarity in your articulations, always in my mind every time I practice, he really is and will be the kaiser.
What an amazing film! To suggest a topic for the next video, could you talk about this concept of preserving art versus creating it. You said to be protective can lead to destruction, and I'm interested about your thoughts on this topic. Additionally, I'm interested in how you think modern musicians can become more independent. Another topic would be travel and how to get along well in foreign countries while doing international business and some of the pitfalls you may've experienced.
This is amazing! I wish i could be as big as you one day! You are trully my biggest inspiration and the reason im working so hard on my music! Thank you for everything you have done and i wish i could meet you and play with you or for you one day.
Dear Christian, very inspiring video for all but for sure as you say for the new generations, You inspiring me all time since I know you. I did my first note on my trombone in 1982.😊 but I listen some years after the first recording music for solo trombone and this recording was Czardas de Monti and the trombone player was of course you. I coincide with you in many of the thinkings. I would like if possible for you?? talk about the how to play in front to big audiences, how did you prepare for this, because this is a big presure for any one. Thanks and Happy New Year
Dear Javier, thank you for this nice comment! I think you just need to expose yourself as much as possible to audiences listening, that is the way, and at the same time do not punish yourself!! Even if you get nervous and play less good than you can, you are still the same valuable person, and if you think like that each time you practice in front of an audience, you will improve all the time and finally get used to it!

Can i ask a question?
How could you with 3 hours of trombone practice get a position in a professional orchestra after only 2 years? This is unreal!
천재적으로 타고 났다고 봅니다.린드버그는 트롬본의 황제입니다.당신은 레전드 그자체 입니다.
I just have one question… where do you get your high collar shirts and coats!? Lol
He has a tailor in Taiwan who makes them for him every time he is there to conduct.
