This 22 min set changed my life!!! idk if most people know the story of this set but basically Avicii dropped out and let Kygo take his place back when Kygo was a NOBODY.. Everyone left this day at Tomorrowworld knowing Kygo was up next!!! Literally months later he blew up, congrats to him.. RIP Avicii :(
Not all true, saying he was a Nobody before this day, but I get what your saying. He was topping the charts in Scandinavia with Younger before this set. Notable people like Chris Martin asked him to remix their song before this, and Ed Sheeran praised his remix of "I See Fire" But when Firestone came out, he went from "some producer" to Kygo, the producer.
This is what a festival is supposed to be. Almost 10 years later and still vibing to this video. How lucky were all those that got to experience this live!

siendo sinceros bajo mi punto de vista la música electrónica de cualquier genero, esta en decadencia la mayoría opta por lo genérico, tiesto es un ejemplo claro a diferencia de armin van buuren, no obstante, en la actualidad también esta por sonidos genéricos, sinceramente escuchar este set de kygo trae demasiada nostalgia y es un ejemplo de que pudo ser mejor que la actualidad. aunque tampoco es tan malo a diferencia de SHM que si con su regreso trataron de copiar en parte su trabajo o ir por lo genérico. no digo que este mal, solo espero que dejen de lado la mediocridad a pesar de ser difícil encontrar sonidos nuevos a su estilo. pero bueno solo es una opinión personal aunque el UMF del 2016 aun mantiene parte de esta esencia mágica.

I see people saying all KYGO songs sound like the same , but what artist on the planet makes songs with different style ? he has his style and it will not change for two people who comment without thinking. It isn't easy to make remix , and the harder it is to be creative as he is . Do not forget that it is very young, my age . Over the years you learn :D

I agree, his songs all start with that same beat and have that piano beat, but I love it and I think he killed the Miami 82 song remix. But I see what you mean, very similar.
Unless you're Knife Party who manages to fucking killing every EDM genre and subgenre they produce, you're gonna have a unique style (the signature Kygo pluck, etc). His stuff obviously has found a great fan base thats behind his moves and very very very easily attracts and hooks new listeners as well. The sound that brought him fame and fortune is not going away, unless he makes a conscious decision. And then if he does switch, Vin Diesel (and other fans) will fkn revolt.
He is a good music producer, but live dj no... It's like listening to radio watching him xD But as the music he "produced" is good it doesn't matter in the end ^. ^

Avicii was off the list of the acts and kygo was set in, but from the bottom and everyting was moved up to fill the "avicii gap" if you get what i mean. I'm sure some deserved dj got to take aviciis ,probably perfect, settime :)

I saw kygo live in Amsterdam, and I have to say it was the best live performance I have ever seem/heard. It was amazing. I love house, and especially Martin Garrix but now I also love kygo and tropical house.
I listen to his music when i want to go to sleep or when i do warm up sets... in the very beginning... And his tracks are very VERY good! But they are never for partying!!

What special in this music shows that people don't jump their ass off in contrast to many mainstream music, people can actually dance, talk with each other, feel the vibe and just chill, or what ever the fuck they want to do.

I'm soon to be 61 years old on the 29th of Dec and I must say that i really love this young man"s mix of music..I sing some of his songs on thisiskaraoke.com known as TIK..It's so much fun, found my voice about eight years ago, better late than never! Kygo is my favorite DJ..He makes me feel young again and his music electrifies my bones..Although we grow old, we must always take care of ourselves and think young at all times..Stay forever young :)

So much hate here, i agree some of his songs are pretty similiar but jesus its tropical house. If you only have listened to 1-2 songs you should definetly try some more, perhaps Firestone, Cut Your Teeth, Miami 82, Younger .. if you hate on this guy you're probably an Avicii or Calvin Harris fan (Most Avicii/Calvin fans are calling Kygo ''slow and boring''), i never really liked tropical house until i started listening to Kygo, this guy is a beast. Give him a chance, listen to the songs i mentoined earlier before you start throwing shit at him .. oh and btw if you like Avicii, listen to Epsilon by Kygo.

Why would someone hate on Kygo just because they were a Avicii or Calvin fan? Avicii is my favorite DJ of all time, and Kygo 2nd. Also Avicii is Kygo's Idol and where he gets inspiration from!
Didn't say Avicii or Calvin Harris was bad, there's a difference between electronic music and tropical music which mostly Avicii & Calvin Harris fans can't see and they're just calling it 'boring' and 'slow'.

To everyone that thinks Kygo is trying to replace Avicii, you are so totally wrong and you can't see how different their music is..
First of all, Avicii is from Sweden, Kygo is from Norway. Just because he's scandinavian does not mean he's trying to be like Avicii and second of all, Kygo goes more for the Tropical Step with a really chill and smooth melody to it and people seem to like it, one of the reasons he is climbing the charts lately.
Avicii plays house music, typical party music like Alesso, Afrojack and the list goes on. I can't see anyone saying Alesso tries to be Avicii? So please just stop. I bet even Avicii enjoys Kygo's remixes and songs. It's amazing to see someone who mixed songs for fun become huge artists, he even said it felt unreal how much attention he has gotten lately.

Kygo is my favorite DJ..He makes me feel young again and his music electrifies my bones..Although we grow old, we must always take care of ourselves and think young at all times..Stay forever young :)
