That tractor is in such nice original shape. Don't feel bad about the PTO belt, I chewed through at least 2 of them when I got my first 300 series. Gotta make sure the belt is inside of all the metal guides on the mule drive, otherwise it will rub and get chewed up. That is the original key switch as well, I don't know why they mounted it down low, but it's the same switch used on all the other Yanmar powered machines. Can't wait to see it at next year's plow day! I'm sort of in the market for a diesel myself.
MichaelTJD60 that key switch is normal for the 330 where it is. That’s where the key switch came from the factory. I don’t know why there though but that’s where they decided to put it and yes it is original key switch
Awesome video man. I just bought a 330 yesterday for the exact same price $1,250 with 1100 hours. I also want to convert it to an H2 or H3. Love the tractor man.
Great overview Andy! I love the sound of a diesel. Just remember the SSBTC motto though " Chewy gets pissed if it ain't jade mist". that's going on the tshirts by early 2019. Haha!
RooneysSears01 don’t worry Rooney, even though I have 2 deeres, the Suburbans will be alive and well. And who knoes maybe a Jade Mist sears will be in the shop soon.
Key switch looks original, it does have the JD emblem on the key. You got it for a good price, and I'm liking the plans to add H3 and a 3 point hitch. Power steering is a lot of trouble, perhaps more than it's worth, although you have to be the judge of that one. Very exciting to see updates on this tractor! Also... I have chickens around the yard too, they're a hoot.
I dont think there's a 3 point hitch, it part of the deck lift cylinder. That threaded rod is to adjust the travel of the cylinder (deck height). I have a 330 myself with an H2 kit with a front bucket.
Ya need to get some armor all on that dashboard buddy and get it nice and shinny black again,,can get a new grill on ebay for like 30 to 40 bucks and JD emblem for 25,, new headlight lense on ebay 40 bucks just picked up one for a 332,,, a little touch up paint for the hood and some ag tires and you will be rocking...or that 214 hood looks like there are no scratches on it just go on ebay and get some hood stickers and switch hoods from 214 to the 330 i think they are same hood,,, or just tape up stickers and sand and put a nice new shinny paint job on the hood,,,, sorry man im like obsessive with my JD must always be perfect or it drives me crazy lol...

That thing sounds awesome!
My 330 Key switch is the same location and is original and the button you pull to shut it down is original also

How has it held up?

What are the best sites for parts and accessories for the 330?
Factory 3pt and work light were available options
They call it a rock shaft, was the second hydro hard to install?
All 330s have the manual fuel shutoff
You are correct sir👍
