I was 15 when I had my first love. She was blonde and beautiful, she broke up with me at the beach. We went to Padre Island for a big bash. I ended up driving home in my 69 Camaro. Sadly I never got over her, 71 now this song still affects me. Love it
This is mine and my husband's song of 52 years. When we were dating, he would park and play it and sing Oh I Love You. Yes I Love You.In my ear and I would melt. And have to kiss him. We have slow danced to it more times than I can count over the years. He still sings it in my ear and I still melt and want to kiss him.❤❤ I love the video with Timothee and Elle. They should make a love story movie out of the video and play that song. BEAUTIFUL❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I was 17 when this song was produced by the Moody Blues with so many slows on the dancing floor. Today is a Chanel's ad.. With Thimothy Chalamet. New generation, new start, new... I'm so glad young people like it in 2023!!! Cheers...
A torrid, steamy August summer evening - junior year 1976. Topping onions all day for Zambito's Produce on the mucklands in Elba, NY. It's quitting time & the fields are smokey from smoldering methane in a translucent, greenish haze as the sun sets across the windshield of my truck. Chilling with my best bud from HS - both of us covered from head to foot with black dirt while tapping a sixpack of Genesee Beer & passing what's left of a doobie - carefully preserved in the ashtray from the night before. Our faces are young. Not yet aware of the ravage brought by the years to come. "Nights in White Satin" comes on WKBW (Buffalo) on the radio. Every time I hear those wails on the guitar it takes me back & ... I'm 17 forever. Miss you my dear friend.
Yes, this song takes me back to 1973. I was 17. Even to this day…when I hear this song, I remember, I turned off the lights and lie in bed listening to this song that haunts me to this day. My boyfriend at the time had left to move away to college. He was gone out of my life. I was very sad.
Timothee’s beauty has depth, it’s in the expressiveness of his features, elicits emotion like a work of art . It’s a talent so I think he deserves the no. 1 spot
Its been thirty years since my sister in law died at the age of 40 from breast cancer, she loved The moody blues so much. We played their music at her funeral and still cant listen to the band without crying. I hope she is in a better place, miss you hon.

@madisnst7902 Well you're a bit of a loudmouth, aren't you?! If you think 50 is old I'm guessing you're aged about 14. I can assure you I'm in my 60s and remember when this record came out - yes, a record, not cd or streaming. I suppose you believe people over 30 don't have sex and anyone who lives to their 60s is in a nursing home. You have a lot of growing up to do! I watch UA-cam quite regularly and enjoy seeing bands I've seen live over the years, but then you've probably never heard of Led Zeppelin or any of the bands that influence the music of today.
I love this song. I was 12 years old when I heard it for the first time and had to hear it on the radio as often as it was played. I am 70 now and it still so hauntingly beautiful, it brings tears.

I'm time traveling too it seems. Incredible song. I'm flooded with memories. I'm 65 now and have learned love is not a feeling but so much more. Its when you've been married for 44 years and know your spouse. All their issues, faults, and amazing qualities. Despite all of that, and all your own faults, issues and qualities you both still love each other. He died last Easter after 10 years with congestive heart failure. He took care of me and our children the majority of his life. I took care of him the last years of his life. (I miss you Pud)
Their music is ageless.i have listened to The Moody Blues from a young teenager to into my old age and without a doubt I still love everything about their songs. I feel them in my soul.
In 1971 my father, the doctor, bought a new Corvette with a monster 454 and a 4 speed. This is back when they were cool. The parentals took off to the Bahamas for a few weeks and stupidly left the keys. I was 15, but I had been driving for a while. I hopped into that dark green beauty, and popped in the 8 track of The Moody Blues ..including this song. The noises from that engine when I changed gears was the background to this amazing music. It was a heavenly time.
This is the most beautiful song ever written FACT! It was released two years before I was born. Ever since I've been old enough to enjoy music, I've been a fan of the Moody Blues. They're like a mini orchestra. But this one song transports me to another time, another place, another life ❤

It doesn't sound like any other 60's song. I've seen the moody blues live, and Justin live twice, and it was stunning, he hasn't lost this amazing voice....
When I first heard this I was 15 and honestly thought the song was about 'Knights' in white Satin 😂. It's a classic song that never becomes dated . The instrumental music is truly beautiful. I have still all my vinyl singles and LPs from 1964 to now , even though I've made a playlist of them and their original videos when they came onto the scene. Great times and sometimes some bittersweet memories of carefree , more innocent days , always come with them ... or am I wearing rose tinted specs ... no ... not all of the time 🙂

I grew up in NYC area in the 60s/70s listening to the album rock stations. Every night at precisely 10 pm DJ Alison Steele (The Night Bird) played this song, the whole thing, starting and ending with the spoken parts. Ms Steele didn’t say hello, or give the station ID. You knew it was 10 because the song started. I didn’t know anything about the Moody Blues individually, no idea who was singing. After a few weeks of this, I was wondering what The Night Bird was doing while the song was playing. Then I just couldn’t listen anymore. To this day I still can’t. This video captures the mood, and Timothy Chalamet looks like some straight out of the 1960s. Takes me back.
Sweet memories of my first love! Nights on his sailboat kissing to this music on the portable player...it didn't work out for us, but he had eyes the color of a bright summer sky, sunbleached white blond hair and of course totally bronze! He lived a good life, got married, had children. Me? The same! And now my husband is in Heaven along with my first love--I wonder if they've met up there??? High School for me -can still see the cover of the album. Transporting, still is. This album made my world so much bigger than the small town I was from.
I still remember seeing the Moody Blues in Hampton Roads, VA in 1972 or 1973 with my 1st husband. He was in the Navy at the Norfolk Naval Base. He drove to Chapel Hill to get me, and I spent the weekend with him. It was a great concert. I still love The Story in Your Eyes, too.
Gosh..... I was nine when it got to No. 1 but I heard it first in the 70s. I hope Justin is making lots of dosh from this (he wrote it for his wife) and what a GORGEOUS, campaign from Chanel. Perfect. Happy Christmas everyone. x
With y’all on the ages/timing bit…and I’ll be 73 in a month 🫢…my husband of 40 years went golfing up in Heaven a couple of years ago…and I spend a lot of time with music from then and now. ALWAYS loved this song and all their music. What a legacy👏!
❤❤ This was my favorite song when I graduated from high school in 1969. Now I am 73 and I do have their C. D of this album and whenever I hear this song. I have to stop what I am doing and close my eyes. And drift back to the good times😮
This song is timeless and so relevant for today. Thank you for taking us all down memory lane with this song, I'm 67 now (I was a child when I first heard this song). Also, great video with these two phenomenal young actors.♥♥♥

Such amazing and beautiful song then and still 💙🎼💙🎼💙
Such a beautiful song. And an exquisite acting interpretation from two of the most gorgeous people ever to inhabit the planet….
I am 76 and saw Moody Blues in person. They are my all time fave over all others !! ❤
Byłam nastolatką , gdy pierwszy raz usłyszałam ten utwór , jest po prostu ponad czasowy , zawsze chętnie do niego wracam, przepiękne lata , przepiękny czas !!!
I still remember the first time I heard this song - my first year of university. I was 17. Paired with this video it's truly a beautiful thing.
I love the Moody Blues and especially this song. My husband and I discovered it when we were dating in college in the late 1970’s and it became our song. It is timeless ❤
My husband and I had the same experience, topped by a little Joan B. Still resounds in my heart and his, even tho wer'e no longer together.
I’m gonna be 59 at Christmas 2023. Loved this song and still do. Timothee Chalamet is a Phenomenal actor. Nothin better than to listen to this song and watch him 🥴😍
Side note:Timothee and I share the same birthday date 27th of Dec lol
Perfect. Happy Christmas everyone. x
Happy Christmas to you too when it comes🙋♀️😊
The older version is better seeing him sing!!!saying that people are coming from the advert😊
Happy memories for us 😊
Moody blues has always been my go to for healing 😘
I love this song! Been listening to the Moody Blues since I was a kid...Thanks to my Mom and Dad
I was 21 when I saw them live in concert in 1972! Great show! Used to play their music every day because it never got old....and it's still timeless!
Timothee Chalamet compliments the Beautiful Haunting sound of this song, Nights in White Satin...Absolutely Beautiful
He is GORGEOUS
I LOVE to Thimoty Chalamet..he's so handsome.!!
With y’all on the ages/timing bit…and I’ll be 73 in a month 🫢…my husband of 40 years went golfing up in Heaven a couple of years ago…and I spend a lot of time with music from then and now. ALWAYS loved this song and all their music. What a legacy👏!
Timothee is absolutely stunning ❤❤❤
Another beautiful song from the best era of the greatest music ever wrote or sung can't be beat ever late 60s 70s 80s
My father loved the Moody blues 💙 been 13 years since he has past 😢 doesn't feel it when I tien this on and close my eyes . Miss you dad 🙏
❤❤ This was my favorite song when I graduated from high school in 1969. Now I am 73 and I do have their C. D of this album and whenever I hear this song. I have to stop what I am doing and close my eyes. And drift back to the good times😮
Music that has stood the test of time❤
65 and still loving it!
This was one of my dad's favorite songs and I fell in love with it as a child. It's still one of my all-time favs.
This song is timeless and so relevant for today. Thank you for taking us all down memory lane with this song, I'm 67 now (I was a child when I first heard this song). Also, great video with these two phenomenal young actors.♥♥♥
