I left North Bay in 1972 … your video has brought back wonderful memories although so much has changed … maybe it’s time for a visit … thank you so much for taking the time.
Glad to take you down memory lane!
thanks for the great flood of memories... what a flash back
Missing some tasty Greco's Pizza big time
Glad you enjoyed the walk!
Class of 97 at west ferris.. lived on Marshall Park drive..its been 20 years since I've been there... one if these days I'll take a nice road trip.. currently in Edmonton.. the best days of my life growing up were in that town
Thanks for the tour of my old home town which I left over 50 years ago having immigrated to the Netherlands. Things have sure changed over that time especially most retail moving to the suburbs leaving a hollowed out core. It was a great place to live at that time.
My pleasure! Yeah I think North Bay peaked in the early 90's as a place to live.
oh how I miss my hometown...wish I could live there again, but lack of work opportunity prevents that
Sincerely enjoy these North Bay walks; it reminds me of the town I grew up in. Great to see the less urban side of things as a change of pace every once in a while. Thanks so much for sharing your hometown with us!
Awesome, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for the wonderful video..l was born and raised there..l left North Bay in 1998..l have been back a handful of times to visit my family..everything has changed.. but so sad that alot of places are gone forever😢
My pleasure!
Thanks for the memories again in my previous home town couple years ago. My office was just a few hundred metres west where you started this vlog which is very well done by the way. Definitely lots of developments have happened in the last twenty years during which I first settled in. I wish North Bay continued good success in all their future happenings. Excellent promotion info effort here for the city.... Great job again!
My pleasure, and much appreciated!
Thanks again for the memories.
You're welcome!
Hahahaha back in the day we put a dozen or so large bottles of bubble bath in that fountain and it covered the entire area in foam LMFAO!
haha Good times.
Thanks Ken for a trip down memory lane. It has been over 30 years since I went to Canadore and lived in North Bay, so it was great to see some parts that have not changed and other that did..... the power centre that you started from was the location of Cortina's Astrodome, a place I spent a number of Saturday nights at.
Glad you enjoyed it, Ian!
Hey! I grew up here and I’m moving back. I’m enjoying your videos
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks for the video Ken. I live in North Bay. If you worked at Canadian Tire you would most likely known my dad Grant Murphy. He has since passed away in 2019.
Sure thing, thanks for watching! I don't think I met him, I worked the overnight shift so I didn't meet most of the employees who worked regular store hours. Sorry for your loss.
Watched this tonight... Awesome Stream Ken. I'm sure Brad told you that it was him who drove by and said Hello. Then again we told you when you live streamed. So cool!
haha Yep!
I miss my hometown and family that still lives there, one day i am hoping to go back for a visit, been gone now 35 years
It's changed a lot in some ways, & stayed the same in other ways. haha
It's a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll!
Thanks for sharing all the sights and sounds of North Bay. I greatly enjoyed each one...
Glad you enjoyed, Steve! One more NB video is still on the way.
Hi Ken. Awesome walk in your hometown of Northbay, Ontario on a sunny day 😎. I enjoyed it can't wait to see more of your live walks tomorrow. Your walks are always enjoyable have a great day 😀❤

Thanks for the great walk around my old home town Ken. Algonquin hill doesn't look as steep now as when I was a kid. :)
hah I thought the same thigh about the hill!
Thank you.
You're welcome!
I used to live in that area back in 93' it looks much different now
Big changes for sure!

Thanks for saying so, Allan!
A wonderful and excellent walking tour. Liked1. Cheers!
Thanks!
So far you have passed my parents place and my former brother in-laws home lol I was born in one of those hospitals back in 1951.
Neither one is there anymore they were both demolished a number of years ago.
❤️❤️❤️ Lots of love for all your videos on your channel! They are so cool! ❤️❤️❤️
There have been a couple variations of the runaway truck ramp.
Interesting and informative walk, thanks Ken!
You bet!
Lol I love that he taking the long way downtown 😂🤘
Nice walk. Kind of sad for me. After being there when i was about 9 or 10. I went there by bus and walked to a relatives house 15 years later and i did not know her address or last name for sure. Now i did not recognize anything. Still nothing stands still. Thanks Ken Stay Safe. Till next time
That end of town has really changed a lot! Thanks, Vivian!
Thank ken great to see the Bay
Sure thing, Scott!
23:11 I grew up on the street (Ann St) directly behind this house from the ages of 5 through 15. Best memories were playing street hockey in the winter. One winter we were playing in the parking lot behind the Esso at 21:45. One kid shot a ball through one of the exhaust holes in the garage door which summoned the cops. They promptly ran over my brand new net I had gotten for Christmas! My Dad still doesn't believe that happened to this day. : ( Seriously, why would a bunch of kids mangle a net like that? There was even paint from the cop car on it!! Still awesome memories though.
haha Awesome, thanks for sharing!
@@TheKenContinuum Yeah no problems. Thanks for sharing these walk clips. Even the ones from Toronto bring back memories! I lived all over that place for about 15 years. Everywhere from Dawes Road to 1000 College St (my fave home address) above a churrasqueira.
I know you know, that was me saying,, Hello Ken
Yep, but I didn't know at the time! hah
@@TheKenContinuum sure was nice seeing you,,and the water front was Best me beeping when I drove away lol
Thanks Ken for a super duper video. Made my day.Did you still have time for your family? Thanks again, just wonderful. Take care, till next time.

Pretty nice little town this! did you grove up here? Interesting as always! Thank’s! TC! 🖐
Yes I did! You're welcome, Monica!
If you were to move to North Bay, and you don't want to buy a car and want to have a grocery nearby and a couple of restaurants, which neighbourhoods would you chose?
Probably the North End around Algonquin Ave & Mckeown Ave in the Thibeault Terrace area.
@@TheKenContinuum thank you - I have been visiting small towns outside Toronto and have noticed a hard-drug problem in the main streets of the towns - for instance Belleville- how is the situation up there in North Bay?
Ken, I had wanted to ask you,are there more social amenities like schools, hospitals, gym ,jobs etc. Thanks
Yes, it has all that stuff!
Thanks very much Ken
I shall be coming over there in October if God will.Much appreciated Ken
Can we bring back those gas prices?! Lol
haha Right?
North bay needs a mastermind toys!
That would be cool.
It makes me wonder, how many people who have viewed this, did I go to school with?
Quite a few, I'm sure!
I love North Bay
Me too

🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦❤❤❤❤
Are there any Indian students ?
Yes I believe so.
This is not a suburban area. The suburban area of north bay would be Feronia, the top of thebault hill, four mile lake rd, centenial crescent, pinewood park, carmicheal drive, and so on. The area you are in is quite urban...
I just meant that it was built up in the post WW2 era, so has a suburban style built environment and used to be Widdifield township before the amalgamation in 1968.
