    Great video, thank you. I am planning a similar trip. Would you be able to share where you got your spreadsheet template from? Cheers, Mark

    Great Mark! I have been waiting for this! Not long back from my very similar trip, couldn't agree more that, although pretty, France was excruciatingly expensive. €2.24 a litre for fuel at one point and €14 for two large beers (not quite even pints) took the biscuit... Next time we plan to do Spain only and this time spend a few days at each stop. I spoke with some chaps on the ferry who go twice a year to the Picos region and just stay there and do day trips out when they feel like it, lots of great roads they told me..
    Keep the brilliant videos up Mark, glad you enjoyed your trip!

    Looks like a grand venture, great roads and even tunnels, what fantastic luck to get a group of six! And somebody even had a drone! Bravo can't wait to see more

    Hi Bike Revz, What a video and thanks, so many other channels just show endless riding shots with music and no dialog at all. I will be doing my own trip in October to visit some battlefield site from WW2 in France and some Peninsular Battlefield sites in Spain. I have already started trying out my dialog technic and riding style in readiness for my big trip.Thanks

    I think you'll like the French Alps and the Route des Grandes Alpes if you like your touring, I have a series of the tour on my channel and might have to pinch your idea of a breakdown like this as I have a few touring tips myself 🙂

    An excellent video and loved the tips as myself and a friend are heading off from Ireland in October to Bilbao . My major concern is that I've added VnH slip ons to the Harley . Will I need to change them?

      The only place I've heard of with issues with pipes is Germany - done France, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Italy with Cobra exhausts which were loud, without issue. Good luck with your trip (take extra ear plugs) 😁

      We just made it in Excel. Pretty simple but long gone now.

    Great vid Mark looks like a great trip that. What drone were you using the mavic mini 2?

    • @bikerevz
      @bikerevz  Рік тому

      It's a DJI Mini 3 Pro. I got that one for its obstacle avoidance and follow me features. Still not sure it was worth it for what I do.

      That was each. Ferry tickets were a big part of that and we did stay in decent places.

    I’m not sure your planning was particularly good. Your negative comments say otherwise.

    Drones. Where did you pass your EU drone licence test to allow you to fly in the EU? Was it straightforward? Was it in English? You were not allowed to fly your drone in the Bardenas Reales for at least three reasons; 1. It’s in a National Park and drone flying is forbidden in all National Parks in Spain. 2. It’s a low flying exercise area for military planes. 3. The buildings in the centre of the road network are part of a military area and drone flying is forbidden in military areas. It sounds as though your drone’s software prevented you from breaking the law big time. Take care though drone software shows/warns about some no-fly zones but it does not acknowledge others. As part of your licence preparation you will have learned where to find the definitive no-fly information for each EU country. For both Spain and France that detailed information is provided on two specific maps, one for each country. Take care, drone flying comes under aeronautical rules and regulations and the fines and penalties can be severe. Ignorance of the law is no excuse.
