I love to see all their custom-made tools and the fact they all wear plain closes but their trucks are as colorful as it gets.
Worker: “hey boss, what do I torque the main cap bolts to”
Boss: “fuckin tight”
Worker: “got it”
Myself as a line tech for 25 years professionally and watching these guys with no torque specifications it's amazing how these engines stay together not possible especially diesel vibration
No plasti gauge for bearing and connecting rod oil clearances they tighten things the German Way good and tight
@@John-ls5nu I think they’ll run decent. They aren’t checking oil clearance but if it spins free, and the crank is used and you go with stock bearings, you’ll probably just have to much clearance which isn’t a deal breaker. Won’t last as long as a new engine but it will last for a good while. They’ll probably roll the truck off one of those “most dangerous roads” before the engine goes tits up again. As far as the torque, I bet these guys do this so much, they are within a few pounds of a torque wrench. I love these videos just for this reason. Like you, I would use a torque wrench, plasti gauge my bearings, check ring end gap with a feeler gauge and all that good stuff. I never would think of doing it this way but they do and it works! Haha crazy. It’s only for entertainment purposes, definitely not a “how to”. Maybe a “how not to do”.
@@moorefab8192 Yea sure they are close to proper torque on the mains and head bolts..NOT a chance...Some diesels I have in framed and rebuilt take a 4ft torque wrench and even then its a strain...Noway they make that with a 2ft homemade bar and him barely putting his weight into them....
Looks good from their huts....weekly rebuilds keep them employed...
If you listen quietly you can hear the click of the torque wrench elbow when it reaches the right setting
That was his back, 70 ft pounds the kids weight, then 90 plus 90 the old guys.
Actually looking on its a really good build, imagine of they had new pistons etc
बोल्ट टाइट करने के लिए torque range का इस्तेमाल कर लिया करो😁😁😁😁
Yes, he's using the calibrated elbow method.
"Click" is his nickname.
Specs are merely guidelines
I really applaud the fact that they work as a team with each member having a set task to complete. The working conditions are not ideal but yet everything is done cleanly and methodically. The test run at the end was awesome and I loved the look on the young fellows face right at the end; doesn't matter where you live, the sound of an engine coming to life is always the icing on the cake. I would be really interested to see them with a torque wrench to tighten the bolts down, I reckon as several did the job each of them must be set to a different torque setting in the muscle memory. As always, I really enjoy these videos. Well done men!
They done great job
They have less tools but done good job
We respect all of them
I remember taking aviation Maintenance classes back in the late 40s. We were told by our instructor to tighten a bolt just till it was snug and then go one eighth of a turn more. This may be the method they are using.
Thanks for your love and appreciation ❤️🤗
@@billietyree6139 depends on the bolt grade what material it's being bolted to and desired outcome. I understand torque to yield is often used in aviation.
This is not impressive to anyone who's ever seen an engine assembly line.
Pakistani torque wrench- big guy does mains and head bolts- medium sized guy does rod bolts, 12 year old kid does pan, water pump etc.
Love it!
So genius😅😅😁😁😁
Oh yes. But it apparently works pretty well. Despite quite basic tooling it seems they know well what they are doing.
teamwork
This, and the size of the extension on the lever.
I love watching these Pakistani communal machine shops and greatly admire the skills and camaraderie of the people who work so diligently there. They make it look like such good fun that I'm sorry I can't spend time working and learning from them. God bless all of you!
Wonder full comment.they work so well.! Pakistani all Right!
American mechanics are so prideful they cant work together like the pakistanis
@@crashercrasher9696 Why this comment? are you talking about your self? There's good and bad every where you look, every nationality, race, group, family and on and on.
@@herygarcia6193 most americans i met in this industry are prideful
@@crashercrasher9696 Not true maybe by you
Amazing work. Here it's all about special tools and measurements. These individuals did the this engine without one.
True. It would be interesting to follow this particular engine and know went it fails.
@@falcon8553 Coming from a current diesel tech.
Given that there are never any gloves worn and they are covered in dirt while also working on top of it, I would not wager long given the compression of a diesel motor and how easily they score. I've watched them chisel at seams with seals, beat shafts on the floor and bathe in solvent. Tolerances smaller than .015 of an inch cannot exist in this shop, which is unfortunate as valve lash on most diesels in the U.S. are under these tolerances. These motors run because they are older diesels and were overbuilt when manufactured and were built for idiots to repair them. As more Americans diesels go overseas when phased out here, this shop will probably close due to lack of equipment.
It's very important to notice that you see very few electrical cables on the motors they work on, this is not a modern motor at all.
Plz give them helpful advice. We are waiting
How they done more good work
Yep difference between getting 700k-1.2m miles and only getting say 10-125k....Plus huge break down repairs due to lack of proper torque. Then again when you have about equal to slave labor who cares about break downs and 20k between rebuilds huh.
Alhumdulillah they are from Pakistan 🇵🇰 ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ they are hard workers, they are not poor that's method of local big machinery work....
But we can improve work method by getting advance tools
And safety precautions
No guy wear safety shoes
Plz work properly humble request
After wwlll, its these guys who will get things working again.

These guys are doing a great job, given their situation and surroundings, in the United States this is considered a backyard “shade tree” freshen up. In their country this is the defacto industry standard acceptable workmanship.., we would generally never consider opening an engine up on a dirt driveway and install wrist pins on a dirty table and allow that dirty oil in the engine for initial fire up..
Soy mecánico en España y me dan envidia verles tan unidos todos y con menos medios y son más eficaces en hora buena.
Torque values = gutenticht

The well calibrated Torque Wrist
These guys are kinda shade-tree mechanics but kinda amazing too!
Here young people are staring at their phones and out protesting some sort of non sense!
Kids have it too dam good in USA.I know I have a lazy ass.
Yeah all these anti American punks need to spend a few months in Pakistan and see how good they have it in America
I wonder how long the rebuilds last before the next one is needed?
Till a rod comes through the block because they didn't check the clearances.
I’ve been watching a bunch of these videos, and honestly their clothes look so comfy.
I was thinking the same damn thing. Jeans hurt the nuts. It has to be that way b/c they stoop/squat all day. bet their lower backs give out when they are in their 40's. All that aside. They are hard-working and work with what they have. Admirable.
Look at their hands. No scratch, not injuries. Very good mecanics.
Thanks For Appreciation 😊
good video
If I had billions I would love to show up and build a stat of the art facility for these people.
Would love to see how much better they could be with quality tools and environment. Doing something with nothing has always impressed me about people in poor countries.
Within 1 year they would be striking for better pay wages and improved working conditions. Just saying..
People in America don't realize how well off they are until you see how primitive other countries are.
@@Ada-zn3pw You are wrong, people in America created those conditions almost 200 years a go, it's just that a lot of people in America and many parts of the world, would love to push America back to those conditions, America is still the greatest country in the planet.
Very accurate and cool torque wrench.
ماشاء الله لا قوة إلا بالله 🤍
VERY COOL, TO SEE THE INTEREST OF YOUNG PEOPLE, SEEING EACH PART BEING EXECUTED, TO LEARN MORE AND MORE.PARABENS.
Мужики молодці, дружно разом раз і зробили мотор, кожен знає що робити.

great job, but you should wear hard shoes for better protection
They have been doing this all there lives and I never seen one with missing toes ....
@@DavidVanHelden1 that's just the thieves....
Didn't see anyone check the oil pump with feeler gauges, oil pump failure could have been the problem to start with.
Thanks for ur comments it can be help full for them
Seeing how clean the parts and block is , as long as they dont forget something it should run
Parabéns aos mecânicos. Deus os abençoe.
Самое главное - это в конце, Бисмилля Ил Рахмани Рахим! Иначе не заведётся😊
Респект
All hands on deck and no manual, no torque specs say a lot for DIY Pakistani mechanics.
@Terrance Lubkey my freind you can comment as much technicalities as you like but they know exactly what they doing and have a system that works just right, don’t be fooled by their appearance of no overalls and safety boots etc etc , as a mechanic of 40 years experience I’ll tell u they are master crafts men. I had a guy come from Pakistan to my body shop he was on holiday , he asked what we were using to straighten the cars I said this is a jig system and we use brackets and then align the car , he said he only worked of the floor with a dozer and never used jig in his life , we laughed at him , as a bet he straightened the car on the floor with no brackets just dozer , we put it on the jig after and it was perfect my body worker with 50 years experience was gob smacked At his technique .🇬🇧👍👌
@@MrMagsimus , i totally agree with you, I've known plenty of people who use backyard skills that do amazing work but when it comes to tolerances that rely on thousandth of an inch (cam/crankshaft bearings) you really do need to accurately measure them in order for the engine to last for hundreds of thousands of miles. Building an engine without confirming tolerances will almost certainly end in failure long before a factory or professional job!
@@terrancel108 lol yes sir you do hold water in what you say, I was taught that way in England and went to college did all my city and guilds and said my mechanics prayers every night with micrometer in top pocket , I went to Pakistan and saw these guys in action armed with a hammer and screwdriver they said we don’t need your arjy barjy this will do fine !! 🤣 bottom line is it just somehow works fine for them , those lovely trucks are old bedfords from England and they use transit minibus 1978 models like everyday , they are rebuilt and kept , I love seeing the old fords there👍🇬🇧 cheers mate 👌 thank you for reply🤣😆
Brilliant higher torque longer bar and bigger guy!
Hahahahaha
Поршня и кольца старые запихали, всё на улице, ветру, песком, и всё на герметике... 🤦♂️
Ага .завели без фильтра воздушного, да еще и масла в фильтр налили мотору с пустой магистралью...
When torque specs are you muscle memory. After watching these guys many videos I rebuild my sr20det without over thinking it.
Bravo Majstori!
surprised no rtv on headgasket lol. seriously though these guys do a lot with little. Fun watching them work.
Looked like some good ‘ol shellac on there though!
Beautiful work, beautiful humans! TY!
Great Pakistani workers. No wonder! that you guys can make one of the best military tanks, now a days. Sincerity and dedication are the keys to succeed.
Tolle Monteure und sehr gute Leistung.Super
I like the kid, he wants to help, but there's not much he can do yet, so he helps hold the motor.
Ill be onest negative has already been said. On my part as a limited country with small tools and lots of hands everything is posible the engine turned on thats what counts at the end of the day they are onest working man trying to provide and make a living thanks for sharing the video i took alot of tips and notes this video helps to understand lots of thing on a engine 🙂
This is learning by duing!
Grat Job!

Excellent video with them firing up the engine after all the amazing tear down and assembling. Great job!
The gentleman in blue with gray beard looks like my teacher in the Netherlands 50 years ago ✅

Best way to improve your engine- use sealant everywhere, especially at exhaust manifold's gaskets
I pretty sure they know what they are doing
Yeah and what about dipping the oil pan gasket in oil before have it on lol

What they have water pressure and compressed air but no air tools?
Great vídeos! That's a lot of work. Congratulations.
Bravooooo Boy,s,Bravoooo very good, Excelence
amazing these guys can make a replica of a k 47
Even when I was 16, putting the GTO together. I had the proper tools to do the job.
Because you were blessed to be born in the USA. The poorest segments of our population don’t know real poverty.
Very good the only thing I can complain about is the amount of silicone they put on some of the gaskets. Normally a thin layer is enough.
I saw that water pump pop off. Never fails when someone is watching or you're being filmed.
Like you video
Молодцы, я думал с первого раза стартанет, бригада знает толк
Knowledge from a different planet 🌎 Respekt
Thats team work, well done guys.
Amazing !!!
W: "How much torque for the head bolts, boss?"
B: "Yes"
Parabéns 👏 👏 👏 vcs são profissionais atuantes.
I know they're poor but a torque wrench isn' t expensive and you might as well do it right if you've gone to all that trouble.
Most of the parts are installed with gape sealant not with proper gaskets.
Good team work and task dividends
What’s that white paste they applied to every gasket and mating surfaces?
BTW great people in real life. God bless them.
I love there torque, amazing 👏 😍 unbelievable.
Super show, parabéns.
Was that silicone sealer going on the exhaust gasket? Yipes.
The work could be better if they use a toque meter
At 20:40, it sure looks like he stripped a rod/main bolt. Watch how the wrench actually speeds up, and he looks at the camera right after, like he knew it stripped!!
