A joyful sound speaking for the many......................
We sing this piece during Easter season at my local Catholic Church. I can even play this one myself on my keyboard too.
Even in a modern day mega church it’s good to hear old-school hymns being played and sung in traditional pomp and circumstance fashion featuring a mighty pipe organ. Hyfrydol is such a classic.
How I miss great hymns such as this!!
Too fast! But a magnificent arrangement. Quarter note should be 100, not 120. 100 is the heartbeat of God!
Better cherish these videos.......since the Coral Ridge of today has ripped out all of this music, the organist etc....... and now engages in a trashy program of contemporary music garbage that even swine would find unpalatable. Evidently the powers ensconced at Coral Ridge lost their collective minds in this shameful action. It appears that noble traditions can disposed of like yesterday's trash.
They still have traditional services the contemporary service is one hour early and most of the time they don't even sing, so that is a relief.
Gorgeous rendition of a great hymn.
Love the descant..
Truly beautiful. At the same time I love the Lutheran way of only the Lord's Word (in a highly elevated pulpit) and Sacrament attended in front, all music being ministerial in the back balcony (I even say this as an organist) as in the St. Thomas Church, where Johann Sebastian Bach led the music, Leipzig, Germany. Soli Deo gloria!
It’s great to see the ‘Coral Ridge Hour’ intro at the beginning of this clip!
spectacular!
All praise to our Lord and Saviour !
