    Jenny I have been following your advice on eating meals within a set time. Fasting for 18 hours. I can’t believe it works because it does. I have lost a few pounds each week and feeling full. I almost don’t feel like eating the next day because I am still not hungry. All grass fed and eggs! I am combatting type 2 diabetes with neuropathy nerve damage.

    A tip for those who can't handle a lot of beef fat or even fat in general, emulsify your fat with egg yolks. I make butter bites that have one egg yolk per stick of butter, sometimes using chocolate, but you could just use vanilla or nothing but meat to flavor your butter bites, and I emulsify melted butter with the egg yolks using an immersion blender. Very similar to how one might make carnivore mayo. In any case, it tastes like fudge coming out of the fridge. Easy for me to digest and quite delicious.

      Interesting! So you just blend a yolk and how much melted butter?

    • @mamatlacuacha
      @mamatlacuacha 4 місяці тому +7

      @@GrammaPatriot , one stick of butter to one egg yolk. Again, you can add the flavors and sweetness that you prefer or not. When I made them, I used a one to one to one to one ratio of stick of butter, egg yolk, square of baking chocolate, and teaspoon of allulose. If you wanted to go super carnivore, you could just do the egg yolk and butter. Glycine, which is an amino acid, could work for your sweetener, but I haven't tried it with this recipe. You could also skip the sweet altogether and make savory butter bites with bacon or beef. But the base recipe is one stick of butter to one egg yolk.

    Not really GROUND beef related but I work at a Trader Joe's and we just got these 3rd pound burger patties that are 4 for 10 bucks and are a combination of chuck, brisket and sirloin. And when I say that these are some of the best burgers I've ever had, it's no exaggeration. If you get the right brand of organic full-fat, it is nearly indistinguishable from sour cream. When I get Simply Nature from Aldi it's thick, not super runny, and has the same sourness and flavor as sour cream.

      @brandonholmes1144 I don't know about the dye, but Google "Food Processor" for more info. It's a handy kitchen gadget/tool that performs a lot of different functions (depending on the one you get), like shredding cheese, mixing ingredients together - salsa, making nut butters - peanut butter, peeling & dicing potatoes, french fries and apparently grinding meat. I've never used mine for that, but I may try it. 😊

    Looks good. I've been making hamburgers and eating them without the bread. I just put some pickles an onions with either sugar-free ketchup or sugar-free BBQ sauce. It's amazing how many people today still think that fat is bad. I was in a deli this morning and I ordered four scrambled eggs with a side of bacon on a platter. No bread or potatoes. Then a guy comes in after me and orders egg whites on a whole wheat wrap. I read an interesting article the other day about why humans were never meant to eat grains. And the article explains that even whole grains still turn to sugar, though not as fast as refined grains. And another woman in the deli was getting a bag of Doritos and a Gatorade.

    If you think that beef cattle get antibiotics on a regular basis, you are mistaken. Grass fed beef is all beef until the last 60 days before butchering where they are fed high protein diet to add weight and fat. Grass fed is lean, the last thing I want.
    Funny how all the cows you show are dairy, not beef. Dairy cattle is what makes in and out burgers so good.
    Even in dairy, producers won't pick up milk if it tests positive for antibiotics. Beef rarely ever get antibiotics, dairy get mastitis from teets staying open after milking.

    People in the comments: "How dare you accept sponsorship/advertising dollars for taking the time to make informative and easy to follow videos and recipes." 🙄
    Also, quality beef is expensive but the fact that you are eating less and not purchasing all the other foods you normally would purchase offsets that cost to an extent.

      I make sure the meat I buy is pasture and humanely raised, but I have to keep the cost down, so I buy at Aldi. Yes, it comes from Australia. I don't really like the taste of meat - other than bacon - but with garlic powder and salt, I manage to eat between 1/2 and 1 pound a day. (I've lost 50 lbs since last June 5th!)
