    Jenny I have been following your advice on eating meals within a set time. Fasting for 18 hours. I can’t believe it works because it does. I have lost a few pounds each week and feeling full. I almost don’t feel like eating the next day because I am still not hungry. All grass fed and eggs! I am combatting type 2 diabetes with neuropathy nerve damage.

    Not really GROUND beef related but I work at a Trader Joe's and we just got these 3rd pound burger patties that are 4 for 10 bucks and are a combination of chuck, brisket and sirloin. And when I say that these are some of the best burgers I've ever had, it's no exaggeration. One of the many random things we've gotten in that I've come to love that will probably be discontinued in three months lol, get em while you can!

    Try this one. I eat this almost every day and I either use ground beef or carne picada beef: 1/3 stick of irish butter, about 15 shakes of franks red hot sauce (or a classic red hot sauce), then add a fair amount of onion powder, paprika, and a small amount of cumin, and if you tolerate salt well, add a small amount of sea salt. Cook in a pan on medium low heat and cook it low and slow for best taste. For whatever reason, these ingredients combined create a flavor that you would never guess came from these ingredients. I've eaten this recipe about 6 times a week for the past 4 months and I still want to eat it every day.

    A tip for those who can't handle a lot of beef fat or even fat in general, emulsify your fat with egg yolks. I make butter bites that have one egg yolk per stick of butter, sometimes using chocolate, but you could just use vanilla or nothing but meat to flavor your butter bites, and I emulsify melted butter with the egg yolks using an immersion blender. Very similar to how one might make carnivore mayo. In any case, it tastes like fudge coming out of the fridge. Easy for me to digest and quite delicious.

      Interesting! So you just blend a yolk and how much melted butter?

    • @mamatlacuacha
      @mamatlacuacha 8 місяців тому +9

      @@GrammaPatriot , one stick of butter to one egg yolk. Again, you can add the flavors and sweetness that you prefer or not. When I made them, I used a one to one to one to one ratio of stick of butter, egg yolk, square of baking chocolate, and teaspoon of allulose. If you wanted to go super carnivore, you could just do the egg yolk and butter. Glycine, which is an amino acid, could work for your sweetener, but I haven't tried it with this recipe. You could also skip the sweet altogether and make savory butter bites with bacon or beef. But the base recipe is one stick of butter to one egg yolk.

    Minced beef here in Melbourne is A$11.00 (US$7.30) per kg (2.2lb) x 18% fat. Great value. I just chuck 1/2kg in a pan let it cook until the the blood has disappeared and crack 3 eggs on. Cook another 2 or 3 minutes and YUM!

    I have a container that mixes everything in a large batch, so I can sprinkle or measure things all at once. I have one specifically with onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper and salt - since I put that in everything I cook. However, since reading about black pepper recently, I think my next batch will omit that ingredient. I also have a container with "middle eastern" spice blend.

    • @JennyMitich
      @JennyMitich  8 місяців тому +5

      @@danpan001 yes, I think the original poster was making 1 pound burgers or at least that’s how I interpreted their comment. The Ozark Valley Wagyu is $9.50 a pound and I was making 8 to 10 ounce burgers, including all of the extra stuff I was adding into the burger. So let’s just call them half pound burgers so $4.75 per burger patty.

    I just stumbled upon this channel, and I’m instantly hooked on that ground beef and 🥚 egg recipe!😅I’ll tell you a little secret 🤫…I CAN NOT eat scrambled eggs or even boiled eggs by itself…I’ll get 🤢 sick…even to the point of 🤮…even the smell of the eggs will make me feel sick 🤢…but the crazy thing is…if I mix the eggs along with the ground beef…along with onions and peppers..seasoned with salt and pepper…I’m just fine…no sick 🤢 feeling…and it digests well for me. I don’t know if it’s a psychological thing in my mind…but it was real to me. My mother made ground beef and eggs when I was a kid…and I instantly loved it 😊 I’m 44 now and seeing that first meal you made with the ground beef and eggs…brought me back to my childhood memories 👍🏿I’m subscribing.

      @brandonholmes1144 I don't know about the dye, but Google "Food Processor" for more info. It's a handy kitchen gadget/tool that performs a lot of different functions (depending on the one you get), like shredding cheese, mixing ingredients together - salsa, making nut butters - peanut butter, peeling & dicing potatoes, french fries and apparently grinding meat. I've never used mine for that, but I may try it. 😊

      I've been using a full-fat organic greek yogurt in place of sour cream for the wider variety of probiotic bacteria as I continue adjusting to strict carnivore. If you get the right brand of organic full-fat, it is nearly indistinguishable from sour cream. When I get Simply Nature from Aldi it's thick, not super runny, and has the same sourness and flavor as sour cream.
      I literally thought I bought sour cream by accident the first time I had PROPER greek yogurt. Next I'll be seeking out the best grass fed yogurt brand
