@Matt Sanocki So true! The first Rig I did it on was the UDR and ever since it's been almost a staple.
All you had to say is that its just a combination between the Kraton and Typhoon, both are fantastic drivers and this one is no different.

Thanks Keith! Yeah I have to say this size is a sweet spot. My only issue with the SBR was sometimes too big to run everywhere but this is just perfect.

Question for all, does anyone else not like drivers in rc cars? My first one in 1984, I didn’t install the driver. I told my daughter I’d put barbies inplace of the original drivers lol!

Don’t kill me now but that arma is a whole different animal. First the two vehicles are totally different in every way possible and if you were to take off the bodies or even turn them upside down you would see what I’m talking about plus the arma differential isn’t locked while the UDR is so to me those are two different trucks with two different handling and driving characteristics. It’s like comparing apples to oranges lol
@Juan Pedroza No killing here😆 Nah I totally agree but this was merely for size comparison. Folks are always asking me which one should I get or which is better or how does that compare in size to each other and I keep telling them they are nothing alike. The issue for most people they were released the same timing and people keep thinking they are the same kind of trucks. Most of the confusion comes from the trophy/sct type shell on the Mojave. I enjoy them both for different reasons of course😊

@Dave Peterson Great addition! I used a Sharpie Paint Marker. I did it about 3 times for it to show up like this. You will need to reapply after your runs.

Laszlo Earle Sharpie white paint marker. It will wear off after the first run. Just need to reapply. I need to get the SBR out again. Have not driven it in a awhile. After driving the Mojave have to say it's more stable in turns. It's also easier to adjust after the jump.
What do you think, this or the Losi Super Baja Rey? Trying to make a decision between them, even though I know they have different style rear suspensions.

Thanks for the comparison. I am trying to decide which model to buy. I have the UDR in a cart waiting to pull the trigger. I'm not a giant fan of the Traxxas battery setup. I currently build and fly racing quads and have chargers and balance boards for XT-60 connectors. I'm not sure interested in getting a Traxxas charger and and batteries. I prefer the generic connectors. Still not decided because I don't know enough about the competition.
@Martin MacDonald Thanks for watching👍👍 IMO two completely different trucks. If battery connectors is going to be your biggest concern, there are adapters. The only issue I found with the adapters for the UDR it's bulky which is why I cut the connectors and installed xt90's. Be warned this will void the Traxxas warranty but this was more of a value to me than a replacement ESC from Traxxas. The UDR is a great looking truck and fun to drive as long as you know what to expect. It requires the drivers full attention and input unless you plan on driving in a straight line😊 Even though it is rated for 6S I enjoy it more on 4S. Feels more true to scale. As for the Mojave, if you are trying to push the limits of your RC skills, this is the truck for you. It loves to jump, rip and bash. IMO best truck Arrma has out to date and maybe the best release for bashers for all of 2019! I'm not a Arrma guy or a Traxxas guy and seriously feel Arrma knocked it out of the park with this one.
@@ReadySetRC Thanks for the feedback. By the time I figured out what I wanted, it was out of stock. That's life I suppose. Good thing I don't "need" and RC car.
I have both UDR and Mohave. Both are fast. UDR superscale especially with a few upgrades. Mohave no where near scale but drives fine. I prefer to drive my UDR scale like with mild bashing and plenty of jumping. Mohave looks toy like once the shell is removed. dogbone driveshaft breaks/bends/distorts easy and body held on with velcro. But drives fine and looks ok with the body on. I don't like taking off the body to change batteries. UDR is nice and easy to change batteries from the bottom.
@RC Cosplay I hear you man. I think people are going to gravitate to what draws them into it the most. For scale guys no question, it's going to be the UDR. For the bashers it's going to be the Mojave. For me the Mojave tends to be my go to since I don't have too many scale locations to run the UDR.
I finally got mine yesterday! Its the V2 version! Does anyone know if the V2 version still surfers from wheels coming lose or hexes strip out? Any other tips? Tomorrow the dealer will sent me 2 gens ace 6500 100c batteries. Yeah!
@Michiel Poortvliet Congrats! I never had those issues. Typically that will not happen unless you start to thicken up the diff fluid.

F Garcia Thanks bro. I must say after the first run this truck is impressive. Need to get my SBR out again to remember how that feels since it fresh with the Mojave but I have to say with the independent suspension all around on the Mojave, it's more planted on the turns than the SBR.

hi your doing some great videos , could you tell me honestly what its like compared to the Losi sbr , please could you tell me if you could only have one which would it be , the SBR or the mojave , please dont sit on the fence, i do know these are different cars but taking that into account IF YOU COULD ONLY HAVE ONE which would it be.

@gatti493 Trust me I'm no fence warmer😂🤣 I've put a lot of time in with the SBR. Only two runs to date with the Mojave. BUt I'll speak on it as if I had only ran the SBR twice. Both truck have tons of power, take a beating and roughly the same price. Where the Mojave has it, it's a better jumper. It's easier to corrrect in the air. It's not to big that I can't get a run in at smaller parks. I have not driven it on 4S but I think it would handle the lower battery power well. As for the SBR there is no correction when you are in the air. You need to hit the ramps just right. Just a characteristic of the solid rear axles. She's a big girls so I need a lot of area to run this. Lastly I would never dream of running it on 4S, way to under powered for this beast. Hope all that helps.

@SM JR Those are the stock tires for the Mojave. They are the Fortress tires.

Trophy truck, short course?? What is the performance difference? I mean is it different track type, jumps etc.??
@MultiSkyman1 Trophy Truck solid rear axle, independent front suspension. Short Course Truck independent front and rear suspension. Depending on the scale, track width are close to the same. Driving characteristics is where it's at. SCT will handle a jump better with how it comes off the ramp. TT will tend to donkey kick after coming off the ramp. With a TT you need to hit the ramp just right since there is almost no correction in the air. With a SCT depending on the model it does tend to give this parachute effect in the air because of the wide body but this can be mediated by cutting holes in the body. Also SCT are more correctable in the air (the ability to get the nose down) and do not donkey kick off ramps. SCT are not prone to traction roll as much as the TT but this can be adjusted by where you run your RC's. I find TT are best on surfaces where you can break the rear end out. Hope this helps.

Hello which car has better range ? And steering
@96d 96 Well this is the gen1 of the Mojave. They currently have a gen2. I never used the stock radio. Not a fan because past experience with 3 other RC's on responsiveness. But the gen2 I've used that controller and range on that and the Traxxas controller are both great. Steering I would give it to the Mojave. The stock Traxxas servo is a little slow on 6s but good for 4s driving which is where I tend to drive it. Hope this helps😃

@Stelian Nistor UDR is defiantly the most scale rig out there.
i dont get why you cant use the faster pinion gear on offroad or bashing. it is promoted as 60 mph and the fact you can only enjoy that speed for seconds and only on concrete is kinda dumb in my opinion
@Sheldinator Oh no you can use the higher pinion to achieve what is on the box and beyond but the manufacturer doesn't want to be responsible for what may happen next😊 For me top end speed is great when you want to rip around but give me some low end torque. Here in NY I don't have the real estate hit those top speeds off road but the torque I can hit the power off the ramps just right. Got to agree for these off road trucks really feel they just need to remove it from the box but I'm not a speed junky and I know those guys need their fix with that number on the box.
This video isn't doing me any good at all! I'm trying to tell myself that my nephew I just bought a new slash 4x4 for Christmas won't be upset when I show up with a Mojave! I keep telling myself to buy a senton to be fair, but then I think about how the slash does bashing. On a track, it would be a beast, but in the grass and normal bashing areas, the 1/8 would do so much better. now it's even worse than before lol. I'm thinking if we upped his tire size and got some trenchers or something his truck would do 10x better. His is just the 12t brushed and it absolutely blows the tires off anywhere but the concrete pretty much. I could always upgrade him to the TSM and he would smoke me anyway we try it lol

Sorry about that man😂😂 My brother and I have owned the 2WD Slash. His is still box stock going through the same issues you stated. Mine had been converted to a Proline SC buggy with all the bells and whistles. For tires, almost any thing is better than the stocks. Down right horrible on most surfaces. I went with the JConcepts Choppers. Grass, dirt, mud great tires. Don't do too much on-road with my off-road vehicles so I can't speak on that but great tires. After that brushed motor kicks in it's really going to haul. I'm not sure if you are running it with a lipo but that will really wake it up. Just not sure if this is strictly 2S or if it is rate for 3S.
To me the Mojave is more of a brasher unlike the udr which states on the box it’s not for heavy bashingso not comparable really just similar body style
