When I got my first Allure Homme Sport about 12 years ago, I thought it was a recent release. It is a masterpiece. I would not mince words. It is a masterpiece to me. I learned today that it is 20 years old.
I bought it a few months ago. I have been into fragrance since about 2006 so idk how it never hit my radar. I smelled it in 2024 and I instantly bought it and fell in love. That's tough to do since I usually am not impressed easily by fragrances.
Wife loves Toy Boy and the scent has a tendency to perform drastically different depending on weather. My favorite time to wear is cold spring days cold and wet fall days. The clove isn't overpowering the other notes because your skin isnt as warm. The pear and magnolia show up more.
Toy Boy, as an oddball, is right. I don't take it out as often as the rest, but when you are in the mood, you are in the mood. The drydown is fantastic.
For me, these are masterpieces: Jubilation XXV and/or Jubilation 40, Naxos, DHP, DHI, BDC Parfum, The One Luminous Night, Absolu Aventus, Oud Wood, Edition Blanche, L'Homme Ideal Extreme, Elysium Parfum Pour Homme, and Nio.

Are you referring to the blue bottle Elysium Parfum Pour Home Cologne (the blue bottle) because that's not the one I'm talking about. I'm talking about the 50ml bottle that has a kind of goldish bottle and a black top.

I got a bottle of Hugo boss the scent edt like 4 months ago and it’s 1/4 gone. I’ve probably used it too much but it’s a safe fall and winter office scent so I abuse it.
Amazing how blind we can be to the simplest pleasures of colognes. You have a great way of explaining and not pretending (like some) that every fragrance is the "BEST YET" Thanks for that.

Love the opening on DHI, also love the dry down but to my nose becomes reminiscent of Givenchy Gentleman RP, so will stick with DH Sport for now which is also a banger 😁
BDC and AHS have different vibes and different uses. I use AHS for summer daily and the gym. I use BDC EDT if I am going into the office or need something toned down as the powder in AHS can be offensive to some.
Just found out 10+ bottles of have been stolen over 2 years by cleaner. If you have a ton of bottles it’s hard to notice one leaving every two months or so. Any advice to catch in act or confront?

These are fragrances that deserve wide recognition. But there are several times as many that deserve it, too. Masterpieces? Lovely expression to get an attention ! Only your nose and a lot of experience can tell you what is a masterpiece to you ! Enjoyable video, nonetheless !
I would chose Allure Édition Blanche over the Sport. Yes Allure Homme Sport is a great scent but there's something so addictive with the Édition Blanche, I keep buying this.

I like Toy Boy... but prefer Cartier Delaration d'Un Soir. I'd have included original formulation of Polo as well as same of A*men... both destroyed by IFRA compliance, but fitting all your parameters here. Likely Eau Sauvage, as well. Spice Bomb and Viking fans, like me, should probably also give a nod to Old Spice as well.
Masterpieces yes but can't help but think even the niche are mainstream... With the exception of the Xerjoff maybe. Basically you can find all these at the mall. Layton isn't one I would put on the list however, maybe it's the way it vibes with my skin but to me it's dark and underwhelming while at the same time having excellent projection and silage. Still a decent scent but if I could do it all over I'd go with a decant instead of a bottle. I would say something like Amouage Reflection Man would be a great alternate on that list if you want to pluck a mass pleaser that borderlines niche and designer. I do have AHS and yes that I'd consider a masterpiece. I understand that it's designer and if that made the list then why not something like Armani ADG or Sauvage. Those two could literally fight for a spot on that line up and you'd have as much argue for one over the other.. but AHS to me is such an excellent blend over those classics.

Generally speaking that indicates authenticity, but the box picture in the listing looks incorrect, and the item page itself implies that Amazon buys it from 99Perfume. Any thoughts on if this is actually authentic?
I just bought Rassasi Hawas off of Amazon and it's perfect. It shipped from the Rassasi store it said. I've personally never had a problem buying from Amazon, with my slight knowledge of what to look for. I've bought quite a few of of Amazon to be honest 😂 no shame if the price is right

Toy boy is easily my most complimented fragrance. Everyone hates on it for being different but simultaneously hate on other things for smelling boring.
I once received 3 compliments from passing by strangers (all of them women between 25-40) at a café with this fragrance. But I still got tired of it and gave out my bottle.
I thought you were going to spray the original Naxos bottle on that scent strip..I immediately thought, Nooooo!…haha. I wish I had the original bottle, but I do still enjoy the newer batches in the new bottle style.

I have never received a compliment for any of my denser cold weather scents or iris based ones. The only fragrances that have garnered compliments in the last 25 years have been Acqua di Gio edt, L’Eau D’Issey, YSL Y EDP, CAHSEE, and Bleu de Chanel EDP.

100% I have 5ml samples that have lasted me a year. The half a dozen full bottles i have will outlive me. Even the ones i use 2-3 times a week.
And then there’s people complaining about $100 + fragrances like the bottle isn’t going to last forever

I have multiple bottles of DHI as well even multiple vintage bottles with the silver collar, it’s my favorite fragrance of all time.

I have Toy Boy. It comes off very floral, then dries down to a great scent after 30 minutes.

AHS is my go to frag for 17 years running. Easily the best allround parfume there is.

Older batches pre 2016 are pretty dark, I have 2011 batch and it's difficult to see through
