- Since I purchased two pairs of the Tecovas Billy boots in python. I had a credit. Instead of receiving a refund I decided to try the Tecovas Roper in Caiman Belly. Wow, I am glad I did! I am a fan of the Caiman Belly.

I bought a pair of Dillon boots about 2 years ago and absolutely love them the leather quality was impressive, especially at that price point and they have held up very nicely and do the way the caiman leather looks they do not crease as much as regular calfskin boots. I took this boots to a 3 month trip to Mexico as my primary boot and they took the abuse like a champ from the dirt roads to the dance floor. These boots will turn heads and get compliments. All I would recommend is to brush them down after everywhere and condition once a month with a neutral leather conditioner.
Are these still holding up well for you? I just bought the Dillon and I love it but don’t know if I can only wear it sparingly

CJ just bought the pecan Cole. Awesome video in my previous comment I bought the Nash about a week ago and wore them to work on tile for 8 hours a day for three days. Wow they are so comfortable. I have a pair of Ariat work boots for the mud and dirt and general wear on my days off. The Tecovas exotic line is awesome love the comfort and quality.

Just bought a pair of Tecovas over the weekend! Went in with a mind to buy the caiman cowboy boots, but ended up really liking the pecan ostrich cowboy boots. They’re comfortable so far, but there’s just a bit of pressure on my little toes from the plastic to insert. Hopefully that eases up in time as the boots look killer with some slim, dark denim

@@CJCook I’ve been to 3 stores across Texas, bought two pairs. The interior design is pretty cool. They have pretty laid back approach. You sit in big comfy leather chairs, sipping a local beer, water, or another drink while they bring you boots. Each time I went I spent close to an hour standing, walking, and sitting to make sure the boots would be comfortable. They were very accommodating, and the experience was rivaled by few stores I’ve been to.
That is sweet A looking Roper Caimen belly boots I should add Perfection in design, love that style so comfortable and stylish to wear at the same time, Roper were originally designed as work boots. Definitely more comfortable to wear than regular cowboy boots 👢 👢 🤠🤟

CJ you should do a few shows with cowboy boot styling tips. There is really nothing out there for true style other than dressing like a cowboy. My style is similar to yours with fit jeans and slim fitting shirts etc I am a native New Yorker now living in the south.

I have the Dillon in the same color it's basically the same boot with the western heel in the same color. I have 3 pairs of Tecovas, this pair and 2 pairs of the Nolan (Lizards). I always wear my boots with cowboy boot socks and noticed all three have the same tight vamp on the right foot. I bought a shoe stretcher and they feel awesome now!
The Lizard is quite attractive 👍🏽

I like the square caiman skin tiles. It adds a bit of chunkiness to the sleek silhouette. Might have to snag a pair. lol I gotta say. A nice western style boot, button down shirt, and Gentlemen's hat turns you into eye candy. I go like this to the grocery store and begin to feel bad for the hubbies in gym shorts and flip flops while their lady starring me down like a happy meal. My favorite part is being able to add to my lady's confidence knowing she is with a classy dressed partner.

Oh.. thinner socks best in tecovas ropers and they are very comfortable when broken in!!

Last comment. You should give the goat (Earl) in scotch a try. Extremely comfortable everyday wear that breathes in the warmer parts of late spring-early fall. They wear well and have an oil finish to give a nice look after a bit of wear. I still have love for Lucchese on the special days or in the office

Yep Rios of Mercedes, Lucchese Classics, Black Jack, Rod Patrick even Fenoglio. All actual bootmakers. Tecovas is just a company that sells crappy boots and other leather goods. Cuero, Bachesto, Tecovas and more recently Rujo all just went into Leon to find a factory to make their boots. Thats why they are all so similar in design and construction.

@@kendrickroland7930 No, I didn't want to spend that much money on a boot I knew would just sit in my closet. The Billy Python in Gunsmoke works better for what I have in my closet as far as styling.
@@CJCook oh okay! I own the Billy’s as well. I love those boots. I own almost all of Tecovas limited edition boots. I can’t wait to see what work boots they come out with. I’m in construction management and need a good pair of work boots. I have tried red wings and couldn’t get pass the break in period.

Not sure if you follow me based on Red Wing boots. I bought the same size as my Moc Toe size. My foot measures 27cm. I bought a 9D. I hope that helps Andrew.

Hey Nicolas, I’m from LA myself. There is a boot and clothing store in Norwalk right next door to El Cortez Carnicería on pioneer. It’s a small mom and pop but good selection of cowboy boots (mostly Los Alto).

If you can get on their email list they have a warehouse sale every year. This exact shoe goes for $199. I know first hand. Ostrich the same. Friday, Saturday, Sunday sale. Prices go down each day. I usually go on Saturday. I just don’t trust they will have what I want in my size on Sunday. They might be $175 on Sunday who knows. It’s in Dallas this year where I live. But they move to other cities in Texas each year. Then I go to the store for a free cleaning.
