But this AC version turned out to be surprisingly future-proof. Ideally I'd have preferred a straight up port of UAS, but this version, Cross Generation of Heroes, would be what is included in a Fighting Collection should the issues ever be sorted out.

This is what they force us to do and it may inspire them to figure out a legit release of this. Great job! We need more of this, there have been so many arcade games over the decades that are lost to time and emulation is the only way to honor them. Looking forward to giving this a try!

I still have the branded Wii Arcade Stick for this (it was $20). It's a pretty fun game, and it definitely looks better than Marvel Infinite, even on console. I'm surprised to hear that the Arcade version runs on Dolphin instead of something else.

The console version has to be better. They had animated endings and I live that this game they said. No English for you. The music changes and then when they made an American port they took away all the music. That Alex theme is beautiful.
It's kinda neat that Triforce games were ported to Wii at one point via Nintendont. I wonder if someone will find a way to do something similar with the Wii U and this one arcade game? Wii U basically has 32MB of embedded memory where the Wii subsystem exists so it might be able to run this game even if it's a "double Wii" in terms of memory/cache.
I wish this would get a re-release with rollback netcode, it's one of THE best Mahvel style VS games and it's sad it can be so annoying to play. I literally have some classic Wii controllers just to play this game. I don't think we'd ever see a re-release because of licensing.

It's such a shame that the official Dolphin emulator community stopped supporting the Triforce arcade board long time ago. Although, this specific arcade game seems to run on a Wii based arcade board, which was more powerful. It must also be rare.
This should have been in one of them Capcom Fighting Collections, but I guess it's a licensing-nightmare.

I have the Wii version also, and it’s still holds up to this day. Even emulating this on my Steam Deck on the go is great.

No the arcade version runs on a modified Wii. Now there is a new version of Dolphin that will run the arcade build
