No better feeling that digging parts from the depths of the stash that you've been holding onto for years and putting them to good use (bonus points if you forgot you even had them)
I will have to make a note of that metal distressing technique with the airbrush to not only try it myself but get myself using my airbrush more often in general. I've been better about that this year, but still can be even better about that. I'll have to try it! These guys look awesome, Casey!
Thanks!! Yeah man, you gotta get that airbrush muscle going, this is a great way to do that though, you can make lots of mistakes and it still looks great!
@@eBayMiniatureRescues Funny you say that. I have a crew of Bile Thralls for my Cryx collection on deck now that are mostly skin, and I'll be using my Badger Patriot 105 for that. Using purple and sickly camo green for an undercoat and taking it up to pale and rotted from there.
It's so strange to hear the Deff Dredd referred to as being the odd-one-out of the Ork Mech models, since it's an update of the classic Ork Dreadnaught, the original Ork Mech.
I know what you mean! The range has gotten bigger and it feels like the ol deff dread has become overshadowed. It still comes in a combat patrol though, so it's still a staple at least :)
This is definitely on the list, I just need to find the best possible deal on a warlord titan and still have some left for the conversion parts!! Someday though :)
I would love to see the theme-month idea expand! Tyranids/Genestealers in November to honor the great devourer, December could be Nurgle since it's all about giving gifts.
I need some kind of calendar that has all the names of the months properly done up. Orktober is such a good name, there has to be more that fit the months lol. It would be fun to do for sure :)
Thanks for the great video Casey, love the Ork Mechs and need to kitbash some one day. Also, I need that anime Vincey V sticker from one of your bits drawers, funny AF 😄❤😄
Heya, what liquid would you reccomend for stripping paint without damaging the plastic / fine cast? And what do you use in your US cleaner? Have been finding some old models at home / cheap on ebay and don't want to paint over the top 😅
Try some LA's Totally Awesome, it's a concentrated degreaser that you can leave minis in for as long as you need without any issues. I keep a variety of models in a large pickle jar filled with the stuff and grab them out whenever I need one! Alternatively, you can go the sonic cleaner route, using the same liquid, and that does the job in about 20 minutes. hope that helps!
@@eBayMiniatureRescues ah okay great thanks for the advice! I was thinking to get a cleaner for cleaning motorbike / engine parts, but was thinking if there's something good to use for the time being before I spend the money and was guessing you used something other than distilled water in it.
I am looking to make a venerable dreadnought the centerpiece of a Lementer army. Do you have any words of wisdom for me? I'm not sure if I should buy one used, or just shell out the full $50 for a new one
Personally I use a concentrated degreaser called LA's Totally Awesome. It's cheap and works incredibly well both in and out of the sonic cleaner. The sonic cleaner just drastically speeds up the process.
Kitbashed looted vehicles are almost always better than the purpose built models. If you just buy the regular ork vehicles, are you really an ork player?

Love how any model is really an Ork mini in disguise. Great conversions.
I was just thinking the same thing. You can mess it up and just say "it's Orky!"
A face only a mother could love...or an Ork. Nice job!
🥳🫂👍🏿
Orktober continues!!! I love heat stress ❤ Awesome outcome 💥
Absolutely love the ork hand prints on the panels. It's just so orky.
It’s sort of insignificant, but I just wanna say I always love the background music that you use! Love your videos! 🫶
Thanks for the Gearguts Shout Out! We appreciate you so much!
Absolutely! Thanks for the great minis :)
Cool timing, I finished painting my own armiger deff dredd this week. I have a grot sticking out of the back of one of the weapons
hah! perfect timing then :)
Whatsup, Casey. It is always nice to see you. Dem Deff Dreadz iz deff dread!
Best way to start my morning was to open up UA-cam and see a new upload 😎
No better feeling that digging parts from the depths of the stash that you've been holding onto for years and putting them to good use (bonus points if you forgot you even had them)
haha, so true, and I tend to forget for a long time, then something just clicks! Great feeling :)

@@MaskedRiderChris nice! That sounds perfect :)
This is one of my favorite projects of yours I've ever seen. NICE!
Thanks :) I had a lot of fun with these
Love the Bloodywood t-shirt! Respect!

You should get a Titan or two and orcify them. That would be awesome. Or maybe some Dark Mechanicum rebuilds?
This is definitely on the list, I just need to find the best possible deal on a warlord titan and still have some left for the conversion parts!! Someday though :)
Face Cannon! They both look so good. For some reason Face cannon looks like a Bushwacker from the old Battletech days.
I would love to see the theme-month idea expand!

Absolutely! That Vincey V sticker was from a dude at Adepticon, he was handing them out to people. Super funny stickers!
Awesome t-shirt! Bloody wood! 🤟
I painted up an old Blood Bowl 2nd edition Cyborg Ork w/chainsaw for Orktober this year.
nice!
And i tought my looted Screama-killa was good. Stunning job on these ones.
Sounds cool, you have pictures?
thanks! and seconded on the pictures :)
@@eBayMiniatureRescues Can i send the photos on Facebook?

Very entertaining video with an epic result ❤🔥
Thanks :)
Awesome conversions!!

Man, I love this chanel!
I heard that November is a great month to rescue Tau models, but thats just what ive heard.
Lies!! After Orktober comes Skavember. 😁
lol, I've heard that before somewhere. Who knows what will happen :)
Always nice to see you make stuff :3. I might need to check out this trenchworks company.
great paint job! i've never used an air brush before, but it sure looks fun! you're killing me by not drilling out your gun barrels, tho
lol yeah those gun barrels... Using an airbrush is super fun, definitely worth getting into!
Looted Armiger. Damn orks 😆
Every time!
Not big into orcs...... but you had me at armiger
Armigers are awesome models!
This is awesome way to end Orktober
DA FACE KANNON IZ BAK BOYZ!!!
Awesome!
Do you have plans for the next year to do something similar for SepTAUmber? They should give the month to the Tau I think
haha, no specific plans, but you never know what will come up on the used market, and there's a good amount of time until September!
nice Sleep Token tshirt ;)

What liquid you use in an ultrasonic cleaner?
depends on the material, but just distilled water can work fine for a lot of things
