The paint they used is called "Spectraflame" paint. 90% of the time Mattel uses that particular paint for special cars and what they call "Super Treasure Hunts" which are super hard to find. You will know if you found one is they have rubber wheels, and they have a golden TH logo hidden on the model. There are also regular Treasure Hunts which are identified by the iconic Hot Wheels Circle Flame logo
13:28 SHARTIMUS!!!! I had already seen a review and you missed something, you can turn the Hotwheels cardboard over and have the Transformers packaging
They definitely took advantage of nostalgia with this. $80 is wayyyyy too damn much. They probably would made way more money making this affordable and making plenty of them. But maybe it was a liscensing thing
Holy shit 80$ for that, how much was Hasbro gouging them on the licensing deal for it to be that bad? Its neat but for Mattel and Hasbros sake I hope that chrome is actual metallic paint. I cant be the only one that thought of the Transmetals from Beast Wars... specifically good ole flakey Rattrap ._. The shocking part is thats 80 USD so chances are its going to be 140 CAD since Hasbro nearly doubles prices regardless of conversion rates.
Wait what? Mattel did a Transformer? Is it legal? I thought Hasbro doesn't allow to produce transformable figures from the franchise to other companies .
So, Mattel cancel orders by mistake then ignore all customer attempts to get it fixed. When they did this to me on my order for Optimus Prime Hot Wheels they refused to fix it. It was a mistake on their part and now Mattel are actually just ignoring my messages. The only message I got from them said I needed to keep checking their website to see if when stock becomes available. On the Optimus Prime Hot Wheels. Can you believe that??? This is what you need to consider when you review an item. Not the box, or the art, but whether people are allowed to own the item according to the company. Do that in your reviews. Be a critic, not an employee of Mattel.
I thought it was crazy they were asking 80 bucks for this. Then I found out it sold out in like 27 minutes. Hotwheels collectors must be pretty brain-damaged.
Wow this is a perfect birthday present for my bro!
@@Elite_Titan_Cameraman5 86 Optimus is the Superior Present

This thing is one of the biggest scams in Transformers history. I feel so sorry for everyone who got suckered into this.
I don't, they're too dumb to see Way better options for the same price, Like 86 Ultra magnus and the Missing link Optimus
This is for Hot Wheel collectors. If you don't like it, don't buy it. To each their own.
@@senormojorisin ah yes the stupidest argument against a scam, If you don't criticize something then they'll just get away with more rip offs
How tf is this $80 and doesn’t even come with a trailer?!?
You can get the Missing Link Optimus for $10 less!
I'll be looking for a Missing Link Optimus, thanks for the tip. He looks awesome! And these guys are already $180.00 on eBay : /
Which Missing Link Optimus? There's 2 of them. 1 without a trailer & 1 with a trailer.
@@joshmontemayor1212 the one without is $70 MSRP the one with trailer is $120
@@joshmontemayor1212without, but the one with the trailer is only $40 more than this scam
@@joshmontemayor1212 Also each are different paint jobs as well.

Cool toy, I love that it articulates. Pretty overpriced though. I wish it came with a trailer and maybe been an inch bigger all around. Great review
I'm surprised nobody thought of doing this when Hot Wheels collabed with Transformers for the first time!
The Transformers fans weren't ready 😂... welcome to the Hot Wheels world.
Welcome to the jungle 😂
This is crazy bro, lets go
It's a nice piece of diecast. I'm glad you got your hands one one.
They definitely took advantage of nostalgia with this. $80 is wayyyyy too damn much. They probably would made way more money making this affordable and making plenty of them. But maybe it was a liscensing thing
The fact tha Hasbro and Mattel collaborated on a Transformer is friggin’ insane. If only it weren’t so expensive!
Dogs and cats, living together.....
This is a pure Beauty
I'm glad you were able to get one.
Missing link quality and value are better. Just got mine and compared it to my g1. Its just like the g1 but can actually be posed.
🚨🚨🚨amazing ❤❤❤
Heads up, there's an alternative design on the other side of card back for display options..
Spectraflame (tm) paint job and rubber tires are par for the course for premium hot wheels cars
awesome job about Super Shiny! of Hot Wheels Optimus Prime First Look Hasbro and Mattel Diecast Action Figure Review from Transformers
maybe 80 'was' expensive, but it will be a priceless piece one day!
Seeing this make me wondering that they’ll be some kind of merger in the future 🤔Has-Mat?
yeah cabovers are much bigger
Maaaaaaan, would be cool to get this, but it sold out too quickly, unfortunately.....

Get missing link u won’t regret it
80 feels like a cash grab, looks great but at most 25 for me. I'd rather get a mafex fig.

I’d pay no more than $10 for something like that
Then you will never own one.

80$ is nothing to a hot wheels collector. They are not brain damaged in the least, this is huge in the HW world.
