I would like to say to all Americans this: Australians don't drink Foster's. ever. not even if you have just crossed the Simpson and there is nothing but Foster's, we will not touch it.
"Like it's brewed in a bathtub or something" Basically. They were far too complimentary about VB.. I can't even smell it without wanting to gag. I know the point was 'iconic' beers but it would have been good to get them to try something decent. Even step it up a small notch and try a crownie.
I agree but you have to agree it's better than them talking about fosters which I have never seen been sold at the local bottleo or pub for that matter even out west or east way depending where you're located.
Who cares? How does it affect you in anyway? They are suffering and are in pain but you guys keep making jokes like this! Why have you watched the video and seen what they've gone through, show some respect 😒😪
+Amira Bloxham yes I have watched the video, and iam not making fun of it, iam saying youtube keeps suggesting it when I watch it already. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU JUDGE ON PEOPLE, LITTLE GIRL!!!!!!!!
+ReallyMe12345 Lately, FuzzFeed has been trying to pit country against country over and over again. The Brits took the bait but the Aussies have had a sense of humor about it all. I think because there is no cultural competition between the US and Australia. Just my thoughts, I could be wrong.
VB is the working mans bee, think rural Australia. Carlton Draught is in most bars/lower end clubs. James Boags is close to Carlton Draught, probably seen more in restaurants. 4X is basically water, but you need to stay hydrated when you live up north. Tooheys New isn't seen often, Tooheys extra dry however is quite prevalent. Coopers is probably the best of all of them, you would see that more in resturants and fancy bars.
Excellent pick on the "classiness'' of Coopers! When I lived in South Australia this was the go-to beer for weddings,parties,anything...And yet when I moved to Tasmania (yes Boags does taste sort of nothing) all the locals here said that it was considered a "posh" beer. V.B. is my choice of weapon...but it HAS TO BE REALLY COLD >>>>
I was in Australia for two weeks.. Great beer! I spent a week in Geelong and visited Little Creatures Brewery twice! They have great PA's.. Coopers is also a pretty good ale! My only complaint is they needed more stouts, wheats, and didn't see any IPA's (indian)
theyre good, leffe is my fave of that list, stella tastes good but its very(ideal) on the pallet not exactly what i seek in a beer(i have a poor pallet as it is heinekin or rolling rock appease my pale lager tastes) Though the fact that in belgium or germany you can get those beers for fractions of what they cost in the states is the true tragedy...esp to people that just want a taste of home, hoegaarden is good too belgian white ale is my fave beer lately sooooo easy to drink and sooo refreshing and crisp. I especially like white ipas which were developed the same way white ales are.
That's not true. While "college" and "university" are similar, they're not tally the same. A main difference is thy universities are typically larger, and offer more degrees and courses, etc.
Foster's is sold all over Victoria at almost all bottle shops. Yes most Australians don't drink it but some do occasionally and did a have a bit of popularity when it first came out.
Throughout most of the 90's and 2000's in America Foster's had been marketed as the quintessential Australian import ("Australian for Beer"), when in fact it was originally brewed by Americans FOR Australians (Melbourne area?) using Aussie ingredients. Now in the states it's brewed in Texas, and I think there's also a different brewery in the UK, where it has been popular for a long time. If I'm wrong someone let me know b/c that's the story as I understand it.
Whoa - VB got rated highly? And Fosters?? Get outta here, no true blue self-respecting Aussie would ever be caught dead drinking Fosters. It is vile ... which probably explains why we market it elsewhere.
+Lenny ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Australians aren't quiet as quickly butthurt as the Brits. There isn't all that cultural competition and old school Empirical mind-set there.
Coopers - Not incredibly popular, Just a standard beer. James Boags - Terrible cheap beer only consumed to get drunk Carlton Drapht - Another beer that is usually cheap on tap XXXX - Bogan Queenslander drink Tooheys - All rounder average beer Victoria Bitter - for when you have a hard earned thirst that needs a big cold beer, the best cold beer is vic, Victoria bitter.
Oh, sorry :) I'm gonna fill you in on the past 15 Australian-featured videos I've commented on. All the videos have a bit of stereotyping, and make it seem like we are all like the stereotype... Like, big, crazy, surfers/stocksmen. And I know this sounds stupid, but I think there are too many videos about us. All the 'blah blah trying Australian blah blah and making fun of it'... Sorry if you don't agree, opinions are free to be told :)
+NevinBruz fosters is a type of beer known by people overseas for it to be Australian... even tho like 90% of people don't even know what it is, its never in the bottle shops and well no one drinks it.. ahha fosters in not a beer we drink at all
Lol here in America, Foster's is a beer that used to be advertised constantly on TV. Haven't seen those commercials in a while. But the narrator always had an Australian accent, and the slogan was 'Foster's: Australian for beer".
This is weird. At Australian university the girls generally don't really drink beers. Only the boys do. Girls tend to go for the ciders and mixed spirits. Sweet drinks that don't taste like alcohol, basically.
All rubbish. Go for Hop Hog, 4Pines, Little Creatures, Stone & Wood, but not those watered down horrors. Boag's and Coopers are drinkable, but still not very good.
Dude, for these types of videos they are going to give them the popular, top selling beers not small name brewers that no one outside of Australia would know. That'd be like them doing an "Americans taste Australian food" video and you getting annoyed that they didn't give them the chicken from your local IGA.
It's unheard of in Australia to drink fosters in case you didn't know. The first time I heard of it was a few years ago in Vietnam. LITERALLY no one in Australia drinks fosters.
Queenslund is what I hear.. Queens as in Queens in new York Land as in land. Now say it with your teeth gently gritted and you'll get your Australian accent.
Those first two beers I've never heard of. The way that guy described VB is basically what VB is. Like if someone told me to buy them beer, it would be VB or Tooheys.
I would like to say to all Americans this: Australians don't drink Foster's. ever. not even if you have just crossed the Simpson and there is nothing but Foster's, we will not touch it.
Yeah like to the point where it's actually hard to get!!! (not that I've/will ever look) but you know you just DON'T see it... at all
Not even Aussie lol
+Kyon Dan Murphys sells Fosters
You are right. Just a marketing ploy. Foster's in America is brewed in Canada. Check the label.
genxer39 What is a Merketing ploy?
They say our beer is tasteless and watered down. We say theirs is tasteless and watered down. I say fair.
American beer is actually the worst. Would’ve drink Budweiser if it was free
It's the hemispheres.
I bet their beer brews in a different direction to ours.
We don’t sip their beers. They sipped ours like the poms and tea
Mark Welten dish water has more flavor
America harden tf up
Should of gone full bogan and given them emu export
emu is the king of beers
omg yes
BUSH CHOOK!
Devastated i didnt see a bush chook
You’re a true Aussie
What about goon
"Beer"
Lebron James777 wow that's all I can say
goon is not a beer it is a cheap wine
The title says fuckn beer
😆 Goon and orange 🍊 juice.
Goon and Pasito. 😋
Goon and creaming soda.
Goon and raspberry.

So I learned that buzzfeed employees have never had beer without the intent of getting drunk before.
Andrews really rocking that Kurt Cobain look
Andrew is not even here in this vid.
+lei harries Theres more than one Andrew working at buzzfeed
+Mandy Li I'm sorry. I didn't know his name.
+Jimmy Gill Who's that?
+Brandon Mayoral ....google him. Nirvana??
I haven't watched the video yet. But if you pull out Fosters during this video your argument is invalid. :-P
+Robert Breen Mad props to the girl in the opening shot who said "Straya"
+Robert Breen Kudos for not doing Fosters. Great vid.
+Robert Breen mate, the beers they chose weren't much better
BurntInferno True, but at least they were beers people actually drink (unlike Fosters). I don't mind James Boags now and then.
***** yeah boags is alright, but i wouln't touch the others with the end of a stick
I'm not Australian but I would have been so mad if they got fosters
+James Anderson Didn't Fosters buyout tooheys, though?
+James Anderson When i watch these videos i laugh my head off because like america is like Australia but hilariously more brutal and uncensored.
+sam read AHH! Fosters Lager.
Can we please stop talking about fosters!!??? Thats nkt the only the we are good at (im an auzzie)
I am Australian and I think I have had fosters a few times. Don't like it. VB rocks...
CRIKEY..... Ya don't drink beer outta plastic cups..!!!!
UGH
Americans typically do. Cultural differences...
Huh? What bars are you going to? And I guess you don't own glassware...
you american HardChaw?
Cunnoath.!!!!
who cares how they drink it..
"Like it's brewed in a bathtub or something" Basically. They were far too complimentary about VB.. I can't even smell it without wanting to gag.
I know the point was 'iconic' beers but it would have been good to get them to try something decent. Even step it up a small notch and try a crownie.
+Kalliste Crowns are VB's in a fancy bottle.
Alex Buechner At least they look like they have some class :P
Honestly, I haven't had a beer in years but even teenager me wouldn't go near VB.
I agree but you have to agree it's better than them talking about fosters which I have never seen been sold at the local bottleo or pub for that matter even out west or east way depending where you're located.
BurntInferno Exactly but I guess they're not 'iconic' enough.
+Kalliste Crown Lager is horrendous
"hints of stella" WOT
NO, youtube I don't want to see the girl who's allergic to sunlight!!!!!!
I keep getting a video that basically puts me off my food -_-
Which girl is that LOL
+Chirag Rajani it's a video that is EVERYWHERE. You can search it if you want, but ugh it's literally in every video suggestion!
Who cares? How does it affect you in anyway? They are suffering and are in pain but you guys keep making jokes like this! Why have you watched the video and seen what they've gone through, show some respect 😒😪
+Amira Bloxham yes I have watched the video, and iam not making fun of it, iam saying youtube keeps suggesting it when
I watch it already. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU JUDGE ON PEOPLE, LITTLE GIRL!!!!!!!!
One of my favorite aussie beers is Great Northern, they should have put it on the video lol
What is up with all the Australian videos lately? Like I'm not complaining bc recognition for my country but like whY?
They just got a buzzfeed office in Australia I think, but I'm not sure
***** Oh okay, that's cool. Thank you!
+ReallyMe12345 Lately, FuzzFeed has been trying to pit country against country over and over again. The Brits took the bait but the Aussies have had a sense of humor about it all. I think because there is no cultural competition between the US and Australia. Just my thoughts, I could be wrong.
Silly roller. Silly, silly Roller. I'm from Sunderland, UK and your argument is moot. Looks like you also took the bait. Good job proving my point.
It is weird😂I'm Aussie too, and it's cool for someone to finally mention us, but it's weird
As an Australian, my favourite beers are XXXX Bitter and Tooheys Extra Dry (Teds). So glad they actually used beers that Australians would buy!
VB brewed in the bathtub? Yep you're pretty much spot on with that lol
+murry001 Brewed in a tub of incest and kangaroo period blood. ;) Good ol' Australia, mate.
VB= Vile brew.
+Blind Fredy correction it's actually vagina backwash
Yep it seriously is our worst beer
Oh come on now, xxxx is the worst beer and everyone knows it 😂
Coopers!!! my beer of choice, Australian owned and Australian made!!!
"This is what the local bartender automatically knows to serve you..." Yeah no.
They forgot to add "if he knows you're a bloody tourist with no tastebuds" I don't know anyone who would willingly drink VB or four X
Neither
Megan Withers As someone who has been a bartender, VB is definitely popular (in Vic at least)
Mate everyone I know drinks VB, no self respecting Aussie wouldn't!
VB is the pinnacle of Australian beer. I don't know anyone my age (21) who goes past them.
Simply perfect.
Aussies drink Foster's ALL THE TIME*
*when working/holidaying in London
The fact that they didn't just hand them a goon sack makes me sad
because it is wine not beer
Currently 11:17AM here in Western Australia and I'm drinking a VB watching this. Nice.
Happy New Year mate, how are things 6 years in the future?
*hearing americans say 'straya'*
*cringes*
sophie a people in Australia don’t even say it haha
Excellent pick on the "classiness'' of Coopers! When I lived in South Australia this was the go-to beer for weddings,parties,anything...And yet when I moved to Tasmania (yes Boags does taste sort of nothing) all the locals here said that it was considered a "posh" beer. V.B. is my choice of weapon...but it HAS TO BE REALLY COLD >>>>
Coopers Pale Ale is the COOLEST beer out of the whole lot in my opinion...
I bought a six pack of Fosters from a bottleshop in Melbourne and the look of the store clerk was like "Fosters...seriously mate?"
Coopers is flat out awesome
earthwolf82 ...yes!!! , would love to crack a coupla Coopers with ya! Do you drink Coopers reds?
Yah man! love the stout as well.. A coopers fan, yep would drink with any time :D
used to work at a bottle-o and pub when I got out of school. most sold beer was Tooheys new and Coopers Green.
I was in Australia for two weeks.. Great beer! I spent a week in Geelong and visited Little Creatures Brewery twice! They have great PA's.. Coopers is also a pretty good ale! My only complaint is they needed more stouts, wheats, and didn't see any IPA's (indian)
VB tastes like Grandpa.
Never had it because I'm underage but it does smell like my pops house
AstroTheKangaroo My Grandpa just drinks so much he doesn't have a scent, both him and his house just smells like VB.
best comment yet
Alana Robertson Well it's true.
+Tifa Lockhart lol I wasn't disagreeing with you
It been 20 years since I had a VB in Australia!!! I really want a VB here in the States soon!!!
The description says soz America but for the intro it should say soz Australia
VB aka Rat Poison, Our favourite Aussie beer
Americans try Belgian Beer! (Duvel, leffe, westmalle, stella, hoegaarden,...)
en een la chouffje natuurlijk!
+Sven Verret Yum, Duvel :)
theyre good, leffe is my fave of that list, stella tastes good but its very(ideal) on the pallet not exactly what i seek in a beer(i have a poor pallet as it is heinekin or rolling rock appease my pale lager tastes) Though the fact that in belgium or germany you can get those beers for fractions of what they cost in the states is the true tragedy...esp to people that just want a taste of home, hoegaarden is good too belgian white ale is my fave beer lately sooooo easy to drink and sooo refreshing and crisp. Stells is very light too, hoegaarden and leffe thooo they are goooooood!
Hoegartten for the win.
Love that stuff.
In Australia, we don't have college, we have university, if that counts.
In the USA the world college and university is used interchangeably
+Diana Mora *word not world
Diana Mora
Okeydoke- thank-you. No-one ever explained it to me so thanks
That's not true. While "college" and "university" are similar, they're not tally the same. A main difference is thy universities are typically larger, and offer more degrees and courses, etc.
Herro Person yeah but people still say college even when they're talking about a university. At least in Washington state they do...
That ladies face, you know what im talking about!
Foster's is sold all over Victoria at almost all bottle shops. Yes most Australians don't drink it but some do occasionally and did a have a bit of popularity when it first came out.
I am Australian and have never seen a forsters beer
@Stupid I'm 51 and have NEVER seen Fosters here
Love Coopers Pale. Best of this bunch (in my own opinion).
1:41
ikr LMAO ugliest laughter evee
I live just around the corner from the brewery where they make VB and all the Carlton beers. And the Mountain Goat brewery is a few streets away.
please make a video: Americans try bavarian beer for the first time.
I just wanna point out, no-one drinks fosters in Australia
Why do they keep on mentioning 'Fosters'. I've never even seen anybody in Australia drink that.
Throughout most of the 90's and 2000's in America Foster's had been marketed as the quintessential Australian import ("Australian for Beer"), when in fact it was originally brewed by Americans FOR Australians (Melbourne area?) using Aussie ingredients. I love VB, was quite surprised you did too
Whoa - VB got rated highly? And Fosters?? Get outta here, no true blue self-respecting Aussie would ever be caught dead drinking Fosters. It is vile ... which probably explains why we market it elsewhere.
Yeah no one actually drinks fosters
Yeah VB is rank beer
Fosters?? I've never heard of her
VB is like golden nectar here in pubs in NSW
@@kym393 🤣🤣
I’d rather drink fosters “premium ale” (the green can) than a tall can of Budweiser any day.
Coming from a country who makes budWeiser means your opinion is void
Germans make Budweiser
@@mofo1188 no budweiser is an american beer pal
@@jacktall4401 OK I now know but the name seems German
Ball Juice Of Zeus they make Budweiser in Australia now, nothing better
Always wanted to try VB is it good???
well hops are related to cannabis so ur not wrong
Great northern
0:20 he should stay with the man-bun.
My favourites in orders, Melbourne Bitter, VB, Coopers, Carlton
A video about America involving another country = More arguments in the comments! *Gets popcorn*
+Lenny ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Australians aren't quiet as quickly butthurt as the Brits. There isn't all that cultural competition and old school Empirical mind-set there.
What about workers pale ale. Yah it is brewed in Oregon but its still designed by an Australian and tastes Australian
Why did that girls laugh sound like an Apache helicopter..?
Coopers - Not incredibly popular, Just a standard beer.
James Boags - Terrible cheap beer only consumed to get drunk
Carlton Drapht - Another beer that is usually cheap on tap
XXXX - Bogan Queenslander drink
Tooheys - All rounder average beer
Victoria Bitter - for when you have a hard earned thirst that needs a big cold beer, the best cold beer is vic, Victoria bitter.
Ahh for the days of DA (Dinner Ale) lol
No little creatures? :o
now theres a beer
A GYM SOCK AFTER-TASTE IS A BEER AFTER-TASTE. All bears should have it.
Okay this is ridiculous... How about we try 'Australians roasting Americans about how stereotypical Buzzfeed is'?
😏
+wispina
????
+wispina they did the same thing with aussies trying american beers :P
Oh, sorry :) I'm gonna fill you in on the past 15 Australian-featured videos I've commented on.
All the videos have a bit of stereotyping, and make it seem like we are all like the stereotype... Like, big, crazy, surfers/stocksmen.

Sorry if you don't agree, opinions are free to be told :)
+wispina your icon is great.
Tooheys makes me think of college, it was like the only beer sold at the college pub.
They should do a video about German/Belgian/Czech beers, aka the best beers in the world :p
Definitely Belgian beers like Kwak etc...
I love American accents👌🏽😂
I haven't heard of any beers except for Carlton, great northern, toohey's, VB, and xxxx
Boags, Carlton Draught...
Well there's your problem. Watered-drown, homogenous swill.
Pro Tip: Stick to the craft beers. Waaaaay more better.
"More better"
+Lolitaholic "Very Better"
+Lolitaholic Such better
If I ever go to Australia, I think I'd like to try the Four XXXX Gold.
Dafuq is Fosters?
I've been told it's the Australian word for beer

you did have Foster's. Foster's brewing is the corporate name behind many brands as well as the Foster's lager. VB and Carlton draught are there's.
Beer is like drinking rust water.
Sounds like you're a bit young.
65 years young this year.
Buzzfeed should make more New Zealand videos!!!
There's hardly any Australians or British or Indian etc people try American something, I wanna see people's opinion on American stuff.
That will be tricky...just saying.
By the way..Buzzfeed does videoes of people from another countries who give their opinions of/on American stuff..
+Mary JieZoe There's a video of Australians trying American 'Mass marketed beer'. :)
TheRedfoxism I know, I just want to see other people's reactions and stuff

This is weird. At Australian university the girls generally don't really drink beers. Only the boys do. Girls tend to go for the ciders and mixed spirits. Sweet drinks that don't taste like alcohol, basically.
I prefer vb with the boys
No Fosters? GOOD. No Cascade? BAD
Next: Americans try drinking a whole bag of goon
"thought you would only have fosters".. as if, gtfo
I would love to try those beers
tooheys new ftw
AND it's not BEER ITS BEEEEEEA
Fosters a good beer but VB is tops for me. need to bring VB to the USA

VB is for anytime!
Please stop saying Queensland like the way that you did. Pronounce the a. For the love of God
+Drew Perrett its really not that big of a deal lol
+Drew Perrett "Please don't be from the other side of the world and speak proper nouns differently than me." Try 'New Orleans'.

Queenslund is what I hear..
Queens as in Queens in new York

Nobody in Australia drinks Tooheys
Except most Australians
I've worked at a local pub in Australia and tooeys and vb were the most popular so....
Guy's either a hipster that only drinks boutique beers or probably only drinks those god awful pre-mixes
I do...
Unless you're from Sydney.
i was just waiting for the VB
first comment
Guy at 0:29 NEEDS A HAIRCUT JESUS
Those first two beers I've never heard of. The way that guy described VB is basically what VB is. Like if someone told me to buy them beer, it would be VB or Tooheys.
I'd like them to try bundy rum now that would be interesting.
As a proud Australian I'm surprise 4 X gold wasn't in there
The Coopers is brewed in the bottle. Also no one in Australia drinks Foster's
Chris H ...love me coopers :)
VB is #1!!!
I love my country & my beers!!!
"Tasmania seems like a cool place" Never has someone said anything as wrong as this
