I think you do the change part better than any other lesson on UA-cam..Those chords sound great. Hard to play, but they sound great.
thanks for a great lesson vid! many lessons on this song but you play it best and explain it best. hope you are still playing and enjoying your musical journey. thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge.
Best version! Thanks!
How about playing the song once..
I used the bridge pickup to get the Clavinet Sound.
Great instructional, esp the chords 😎 cool stuff.
Nice, straightforward, no BS. That's the way music should be taught.
Thanks for the lesson. Very nice and easy to follow. I don't think the chord is a B7#5, though. The 5th is moved up a whole step to the 6th (13th), so I would probably call it a B7add13, or a B13. Just splitting hairs. Thanks again.
Thank you so much Nikki!!!! :) Great!!!
Thank you so much!
Where r u located?
Très bien j'ai tout pigé !
Txs a lot !
Superb
thanks
Hey Nicky, drop the "..and, um..." and you have a good product. And, um, yeah, play the tune a few times at the bookends. Cheers!
I like your ideas for chord inversions, and yeah, tuning to Eb is important, but I play it more like this guy: ua-cam.com/video/b5nLE0dSMHM/v-deo.html
Jimi Hendrix guitar tune?
why didnt you leave your guitar in normal tuning Its not like you are playing along with the song It's a lesson I'm not going to change my tuning
Isn't the main riff picked with a skank technique?..that's where the "ghost" notes come from....and how the rythym is kept tight.
Or just play in E
I dont know, a typo maybe? 2nd
Great lesson. I'm learning it, but it sounds better with a slide from 5th to the 7th fret on that last scale. bum bop bum bop bop bah dop ba dah---wuuuum (that last note is a slide from 5 to 7) bummmmmmm
Why do colonials always say "Hey What's UP"?

I love her voice ! (really sexy )
you've made such a huge positive influence on me ,any facebook page (I Swear I'm Not a Stalker.)

I tuned my Guitar down a half step to match the Original key.
Thanks Nicky, I have been trying to learn Super. for years. Your way of teaching is GREAT. I am adapting it by dropping only the E string only and it's workin' fine.
Ron
Blablabla play pleaaaase
That song turns out to be in Eb Standard, & you're hearing Stevie Wonder play alot of Ghost Notes which is why we're learning the Clavinet part on Guitar. If you have an Electric Guitar, I reccomend using the bridge pickup to get that Clavinet Twang going.
Normal tuning is fine! UNLESS you are playing the track it's E flat When tou are playing in a band you don't have time to change tuning. I wish people teaching these vids would understand that!
That guitar sounds so woolly. Surely if you’re trying to emulate the Clavinet part maybe use a different guitar or gets some pedals on there. Also sounds like a new set of strings wouldn’t go a miss.
Thanks for the guitar lesson Liz Lemon.
Would love to know how to play the horn lead line on the guitar up the neck too. The rest of your tutorial is great. Makes it very simple to learn those jazz chords.
I appreciate you taking it slow for a dummy like me
Zabardast cheers from Toronto.....
you ar thank youe a fabulous teacher and musician!!
Thank you Nicky
Thanks lady. I love learning jazz cords so thanks for sharing. Nice lesson too.
Learned so much from you.
Hi from UK and thankyou
Sweet!!💖
Solid lesson !
LIKE and thanks! Great to see a woman providing a lesson!!
I agree. And 'Running with scissors ' is a great read 🙂
Thanks for sharing this. I look forward to trying it out.
she talks so much that it gets confusing
Yep. Made it much more confusing that it really is.
That's good.. but I slap which makes it better and funky too
If you appreciate really meticulously researched guitar parts that match the original really well this is the lady to go to! Much appreciated!
i agree, more playing plz, slow repetition is good, and more note by note instruction. less talking.
Nice lesson, straight forward and clear. The best I have seen for this track. Thanks.
que mulher maravilhosa muito bom de ver e ouvir e muito melhor explicado que outros videos que vi
Great lesson and we’ll explained - thank you 👍🏽
Great lesson...👍
Thanks.
Thank you.

Doing fine in normal tuning, strange chords in the chorus is that a key change?
Yes it is. The main riff is e flat minor. The chorus modulates through b7 c7b9 b7, bflat#9, or 11th but the harmony is fairly open so feel free to substitute with 6th and minor 9th and 11th
do you keep the whole song in drop D tunning
i mean e flat sorry
you are a good teacher i have a have a digatech drop tunning pedal
ua-cam.com/video/Z1B42lGl59E/v-deo.html
good but,talking too much
dafuq is a ghost note? never heard of that, its just a quick hammer on, no?
+Bob Saturday Ironic you're calling him uneducated lmao. You might wanna look at your own comments before saying shit like that. Oh wait, you edited your comment....
why so many likes, she can't even play what she is "teaching". the 5th fret on the E string is not in time...and u don't need to tune the guitar down to Eb. That is just because Stevie is blind, and you have the conveniency of having the complete blues scale on the piano when you have only the black keys, which just happen to be in Ebm minor. That's why I dislike women.
The point is you cant hit the low e string in standard tuning to get the base line numb nuts! She's playing it excellently and even showing variations so shut the phuk up
maybe u shut the fuck up i have a degree in music who the fuck are u bitch get lost
No you dont your just an internet trol
anthony clark you can play the whole thing a fret higher and it would sound the same. what OP said is correct
you are why I dislike men....
I love this song it’s my fav Stevie Wonder song. I’ve only been playing for 5 months now. Thank you for your time and energy making this vid. Looking forward to more great lessons. Peace
