    I think you do the change part better than any other lesson on UA-cam..Those chords sound great. Hard to play, but they sound great.

    Nice, straightforward, no BS. That's the way music should be taught.

    Thanks for the lesson. Very nice and easy to follow. I don't think the chord is a B7#5, though. The 5th is moved up a whole step to the 6th (13th), so I would probably call it a B7add13, or a B13. Just splitting hairs. Thanks again.

      I like your ideas for chord inversions, and yeah, tuning to Eb is important, but I play it more like this guy: ua-cam.com/video/b5nLE0dSMHM/v-deo.html

    Isn't the main riff picked with a skank technique?..that's where the "ghost" notes come from....and how the rythym is kept tight.

    That song turns out to be in Eb Standard, & you're hearing Stevie Wonder play alot of Ghost Notes which is why we're learning the Clavinet part on Guitar. If you have an Electric Guitar, I reccomend using the bridge pickup to get that Clavinet Twang going.

  • @kevinstamper9796
    @kevinstamper9796 Рік тому

    Normal tuning is fine! UNLESS you are playing the track it's E flat When tou are playing in a band you don't have time to change tuning. I wish people teaching these vids would understand that!

  • @alanhowell3646
    @alanhowell3646 Рік тому

    That guitar sounds so woolly. Surely if you’re trying to emulate the Clavinet part maybe use a different guitar or gets some pedals on there. Also sounds like a new set of strings wouldn’t go a miss.

    Doing fine in normal tuning, strange chords in the chorus is that a key change?

    • @bennypagesaunders6895
      @bennypagesaunders6895 4 роки тому

      Yes it is. The main riff is e flat minor. The chorus modulates through b7 c7b9 b7, bflat#9, or 11th but the harmony is fairly open so feel free to substitute with 6th and minor 9th and 11th

    why so many likes, she can't even play what she is "teaching". the 5th fret on the E string is not in time...and u don't need to tune the guitar down to Eb. That is just because Stevie is blind, and you have the conveniency of having the complete blues scale on the piano when you have only the black keys, which just happen to be in Ebm minor. That's why I dislike women.

    • @anthonyclark114466
      @anthonyclark114466 8 років тому +3

      The point is you cant hit the low e string in standard tuning to get the base line numb nuts! She's playing it excellently and even showing variations so shut the phuk up
