Dutch duo Tinlicker treat us to another stellar release with ‘Perfect Mistakes’, out Oct 4.
A collection of new and unreleased older tracks, ‘Perfect Mistakes’ features the unheard ‘Perfect Mistake’ and an official release of ‘Voodoo’, their collaboration with German juggernaught Ben Böhmer (previously heard on Anjunadeep 12). Fans may recognise the vocal mix of 'Soon You'll Be Gone’ with Thomas Oliver from Tinlicker’s ecstatic performances on their extensive sold out European and North American tour.
‘Perfect Mistakes’ follows Tinlicker’s recent album ‘In Another Lifetime’ and ‘In Another Lifetime (Remixed)’, which have collectively accrued over 23M streams in the past year, and garnered support from the biggest names in dance music including Pete Tong, Diplo, Lane 8, Oliver Heldens, and John Digweed.

This really brings me back to the golden days of trance and progressive, 1997-2004.
Lately, to my delight I've been hearing a lot of good new music in this style, a far cry from the horrible handz up stuff that was ruining music around 2013 or so. This is so much better. This I will also like fifteen years from now, when the hands up stuff already sounded dated when it was new. I won't get bored with Tinlicker soon.
