I saw Dominick (Dominique) sing in Kingston in the 80’s. Being a white guy myself, I was surprised to see him sing his dancehall songs and integrate with the reggae musicians. Dominick meshed with the Jamaican culture and discovered a beautiful way of life. He deserves a lot a credit for leaving England and becoming, as far as I know, the first white dancehall star. His talent allowed him to enter and be accepted into the dancehall world, not his skin color. His lyrics and musical beats were smooth. You are seeing a true original in this video. All due respect to Dominick. You are still remembered and loved. Love to all Jamaicans who welcomed him into their musical world.
