- this Honda Civic was experiencing a slow cranking, I thought it may be a bad battery so I got a new one but it still did the same thing Slow cranking issue remains. I was even thinking it could be a starter motor problem, what do you think it is?

I THINK THE BATTERY IS OK ITS STARTER PROBLEM
Bad starter. Internal winding insulation breakdown. Probable winding short to the case = power going mostly from positive terminal of starter to negative (starter case), rather than through the windings.
battery needs to maintain 12.6-13.2v and shouldn't drop below 11.5 while trying to start. Could be drag on the starter as well from it being old.
check starter
Check all of the ground wires
one year later I responded yes it was a disconnected main ground from battery to starter.
I think it's the battery, that's too much voltage drop, even if the starter is bad I think the voltage should only drop to 11volts.. But I'm not an expert 🤣
it end up being a battery ground issue. someone connected it to the wrong place, so the starter was not getting full power. it was fixed later
😂🤣
The battery has to be 12.6
Replace the starter.
I found out what was causing it. it was a bad ground wire from the battery to body
Nah I want my shit to start like a 16 cylinder r
