It's a hybrid. You can fish, day recreation, dive/snorkel, overnight trips, coastal cruise and get there fast. Amazing boat.

As per my assessment: Rides on calm water. Good movement in the water and great speed (70 mph). Great design both on the deck and interior. Furnishings and fittings are more than adequate.

I work in Annapolis on boats and have commissioned a good amount of higher end center console boats. Always got a good laugh at the yuppies showing up wearing a thousand dollars worth of vineyard vines clothing with no rods with absolute no intention to fish or eat fish. There called Aqua Queens or water princesses.

Michael Tovar hell ive known a few to die hard fish on high end fishing boats. A boat like this would be extremely competitive in a tournament because it could get to deep water so quickly and return to shore on 1 tank. Now the tank is probably close to $80,000 to fill up but hey this is a millionaires hobby

Saw these engines at last year's Toronto boat show. $32,000 EACH. PLUS TAX. OUCH!!! Makes me realize how much fun it was to "putter around" the lake in a 14 ft. fishing boat with a 15 hp engine.

All outboard engines are garbage. Freakin money pits. I’ll take two diesels any day. At least when they tear up, they can be fixed relatively easily. My experience with outboards is there’s always an issue that takes the “certified” mercury mechanics several tries to get right. I couldn’t imagine 6 pieces of garbage on the back of my boat. I can’t deal with the one that’s on mine. Up yours mercury!

it runs on 0.5 mpg at 43 mph. this means that in 1 hour it takes 86 gallons, which is about 200-240 in todays prices

Dumb questions... since I'm thinking about how to make it more frugal... as if I have the money to even afford the fuel on this, let alone the boat itself. If I could afford a boat like this I think it's safe to say I could afford to use as much fuel as I wanted.

I see the Internet / uTube trolls are out in full force on this vid... I for one say hat's off to Scout for building a luxurious and beautiful boat, top notch in every detail. Over the top? Yeah, I'd have to agree, but the workmanship is superb. As for the individual that can afford to purchase, run and maintain a beautiful vessel like this; I'll Captain it, cruise it or fish it with you any day of the week. :-)

It would be interesting to go to max speed, log that, then take one engine off, log that max speed, then another etc. I bet 2 of those motors would push it along at 50-55mph. After that you're spending $40k for every 5mph.
It's rated at 75MPH+ with 6 motors.
honestly you are right. i bet shes 80% as fast at cruise with 4 425 yamaha v8's. less drag, and way better fuel economy. every blue water boater knows top speed means nothing... it's the cruise speed that really matters.

Verado's don't roar. They're super quiet. You more likely to hear the cooling water hitting the sea than to hear the engine exhaust.

I like to see this but even with money I don't think I like to own this. Sometimes too many things and moving parts is just too much.
If Formula made this boat (coachworks/quality) and swapped out for 6 Seven Marine 627s it would be my dream vessel...just saying.
That would be almost 7200lbs on the transom. Can't imagine what the run angle would be, especially getting on plane. 20* I would guess.

More reliable and fuel efficient, no catalyst. Can run them harder/!faster better duty cycle.
Amazing boat. These outboard boats are great and really open up the space inside the cabin. However, you are completely limited to docking on finger slips only. Backing up to a float isnt possible . That a deal breaker for me. They need to figure out how to build the stern platform around the outboards.

@@u235u235u235 They back up but when backing into a slip with poles only the only way to exit the boat is from the back. The outboards are in the way

Way more room in the boat and much better top end which is what this hull is designed for. It's a planning hull, designed to get up and out of the water. Outboards are much better suited to get the boat up on plane for higher speeds then large displacement diesel engines.

Six won't fit, maybe 5. You can only fit 5 - 425hp Yamahas on this boat, the 627s are wider than the Yamaha I believe.
@@gwagb27 idk what those 400s weigh but four 627s weigh almost 5000lbs. I would do the diesels. Not as fast but GPH would be far better and every marina can work on them.
