17:10 - Blake Clark (Chet Hunter, Shawn Hunter’s dad in Boy Meets World) voiced Slinky Dog in Toy Story 3. For DC fans: Ned Beaty (Otis from Superman I and II) voiced Lotso and Michael Keaton (Batman and Batman Returns) voiced Ken doll. Jodi Benson (voice of Ariel in Disney’s the Little Mermaid) voiced Barbie. Also word is Don Rickles passed before getting to record any lines for Mr. Potatoe Head in Toy Story 4.
she needs to be told though that its not 4 years difference..its more like 6 cause toy story was animated in 1993-1994 and toy story 2 was basically made in less than a year in 1998-1999....the difference is like 5.5 years really...and a much bigger budget is a big reason it looks so good as a sequel too...plus just knowing how to do a film which pixar did not have pre 1996
he calls sid andy which was weird....shows me he does not care..left out iconic lines like you have my pity farewell and i should be the one strapped to that rocket
@@razkable that's kind of the MO for Kinda Funny Reviews. During MCU in review they called Black Widow Scarlet Witch because she's played by Scarlett Johansson. I'd take the plot recaps with a grain of salt. Just a good way to talk about scenes in the movie. I too love the classic Toy Story Lines: "I'm Woody Howdy Howdy Howdy."
This was fun! I loved Belinda as a guest great call on that KF. She was really knowledgeable and fit in well with the panel. Watching these is always a trip back in time for me, the animation was sooo crude and different but I love it either way. It was not perfect movie but this Toy Story is a classic! I am stoked to see the rest of Toys Story In Review. Lastly that intro was awesome! This was just great all around can't wait for next week!
Revisting this because I'm starting my own pixar marathon and man, I miss the studio so much. It's been so long I've almost forgotten what it looked like.
Joss Whedon was one of the screenwriters on the first _Toy Story_ and, in addition to creating the character of Rex, is apparently responsible for a lot of the witty one-liners & snappy dialogue that is noticeably absent in the sequels.
1. Toy Story 1 2. Toy Story 2 3. Toy Story 3 I mean Toy Story 3 has the greatest ending and I cry like a baby but everything before the ending was... okay. It wasn't as consistently good as the previous films.
I'm pretty sure the dad not being there was mostly a budget thing, like how all the kids had Andy's face. That being said, I believe they came up with in universe reasons after the fact. Also I love all the family guy references by Andy and Greg.
Toy Story has a special place in my heart cause it came out the day I was born. But my favorite one has to be Toy Story 3. The ending makes me bawl every single time.
Toy Story is one of those movies I watched to Death as a child and to this day love. I even went to see Toy Story on Ice and for the longest time thought the song the Boys are Back in Town was actually the Toys are Back in town. But if we are talking about Pixar Theories I've always beileved the idea that Woody belonged to Andy's Father, but one thing that always bothers me about Toy Story and what I want one of the movies to be about is. How does Woody know he is a toy? Because we see in this and in the christmas special A Toy Story that Time Forgot, toys don't immediately know they are a toy out of the box. I've always wanted a prequel about Woody.
Pretty sure the dad is absent because the audience is supposed to be assuming the perspective of a dad - woody (andys past)/buzz (andys future) are father figures. Having an actual dad present would confuse the writing and would make it harder to communicate the feeling of your kid growing up and not viewing you as their hero anymore.
Andy's dad actually died after he was diagnosed with post polio syndrome or atleast thats the theory that i consider true I'm not sure if it's been confirmed yet. Also the picture's you see of Andy in the house are actually of Andy's dad because they are currently living in his dad's childhood home. Here's a video that explains everything better and in more detail. ua-cam.com/video/bbmzuoBC1Rs/v-deo.html
Man this was the kids podcast, grandpa Greg and Nick fucking sucking out the fun of the review. I'm expecting a shitton more going forward, it's not looking promising.
They like to do movies that lead up to something current. They just reviewed the old Aladdin because the new one was coming out, and they’re going to do same with Lion King. Idk, i like that they stay current, it makes them stand out. A lot of UA-camrs have reviewed all the Pixar movies.
Belinda was such a good guest for this series. Good call KF
Ship Belinda & Andy!
@@ryans2869 I'm glad I'm not the only who was thinking that! They both have such a nice low key, chill vibe.

the intro is really cool
Nick's plot description is epic! He makes toy story sound just as intense as all the mission impossible movies!
he calls sid andy which was weird....shows me he does not care..left out iconic lines like you have my pity farewell and i should be the one strapped to that rocket

Man, you know when Nick refuses to read a note aloud that he left for himself that it really must've been something dark...lol
I’m so happy Greg is still on these, he brings so much life to these reviews

I wish I knew you guys were doing this. I have so many stories of going to Pixar as a 14 year old during the making of this film.
Love you Scott! Get in on the next one??
I'm happy this held up so well on a rewatch. Woody and Buzz both have two of the best character arcs in any Disney movie.
Shout Out to that beautiful intro! ;)
Batman Forever was the #2 film? BATMAN IN REVIEW!
batman pixar ron howard robin williams jim carrey tom hanks brad pitt bruce willis disney james bond...what a time
I had the comforter that was reversible with Buzz Lightyear and Woody. Ya’ll best believe that shit always had Buzz Lightyear up.
Andy's Home Improvement sound effect ON POINT! 54:53

"Hey buzz were flying we're not flying we're falling with style to infinity and beyond" gets me every time
55:15 the mom was all like, "Andy, what happened? What happened, Andy?"
Do I rewatch all the toy story movies for the millionth time for this review...? Yes
Revisting this because I'm starting my own pixar marathon and man, I miss the studio so much. It's been so long I've almost forgotten what it looked like.
My introduction to Belinda... She was awesome! She was very insightful and funny. Great work, guys! Loved this review.
Also, fun tidbit: the toy with the legs and the hook was called "hooker". Officially, however, for promotional purposes, it was named "Legs".
I saw Toy Story on a bootleg VHS tape that my mom got me while getting her hair done in Brooklyn right before new years. Best $5 she ever spent on me.
1 2 3 & 4. Ranked! no need to make your own list.
I love that Belinda is on this!
Joss Whedon was one of the screenwriters on the first _Toy Story_ and, in addition to creating the character of Rex, is apparently responsible for a lot of the witty one-liners & snappy dialogue that is noticeably absent in the sequels.
he rewrote it....so he deserves more credit....without him the film sucks
the Randy Newman bits from the Aquaman 2 in review brought me back here
Not even 5 minutes in and Greg makes a 9/11 joke... How did I miss these videos! Lol I’m so glad I’m going back and watching this.
Just recently saw Rex Orange County perform “You Got A Friend In Me” and he brought out Randy Newman to perform with him and my life was made :)
1. Toy Story 1
2. Toy Story 2
3. Toy Story 3
I mean Toy Story 3 has the greatest ending and I cry like a baby but everything before the ending was... okay. It wasn't as consistently good as the previous films.
Nick doing the plot is one of the best changes to in review. I'm so glad it has stuck from mission impossible now that Greg is back.
When you think of best trilogies you don't really think of Toy Story but you should because it is one of the best trilogies.
Can't wait for the how to train your dragon reviews 😂😂
Do you know why that toy had barbie legs and a fishing rod? It is a play on the word hooker, she is a fishing rod so she can hook people
Oh did not see that coming
Anyone remember the Buzz Lightyear animated movie? That movie was dope
Rad Gals Talk Bad Pals
I hope one day you guys review all of Pixar I think that would be really fun
Kinda Funny: we got some trivia-

After watching this I wish Belinda would have been on the Aladdin In Reviews. She was great.
Is the “I’ll make a man of you” bit like a real thing? Or is this just something they adlibbed?
KF reviewing one of my favorite movies of all time, this is so exciting!!!
Belinda is a great addition. #GarciaFam
I know it's not toy story but it would be cool if they did the buzz lightyear movie also.
I remember having a Woody, Buzz, and Rex dolls. Ah childhood memories
Toy Story 2 all the way! My favourite Pixar film too.
Toy Story has a special place in my heart cause it came out the day I was born. But my favorite one has to be Toy Story 3. The ending makes me bawl every single time.
Great show but this has to be said, Pizza Planet... not Planet Pizza. Haha
Childhood movies, thx for the nostalgia KF 💙
I need credits for who did that intro
Harry Potter y'all, c'mon. :)
That intro is so good that you should be sued
I get why it's there, but it always baffled me why the handle to the door of the claw machine was on the inside of it
Intro

Best intro animation. Who created it?

Having an actual dad present would confuse the writing and would make it harder to communicate the feeling of your kid growing up and not viewing you as their hero anymore.
I really wish they would include Buzz Lightyear The Movie in this review Gah! It was such a good movie and show.
I only recognize Eric von Detten because of Barely Legal and Princess Diaries
Kevin looks cool with glasses.
Anyone noticed the pizza guys car is like the same car in sausage party?
I love the ragu bagu song

I read the first sentence and thought you were talking about Candy Andy
The sign off could've just been "To Infinity and Beyond!" cmon it's a layup!
Awesome content again \m/\m/
Drink from the Boot!!!!
I’m sorry, but Toy Story is just better than all the sequels. It just is. Can’t be beaten.
Damn it what did Nick’s note say?
THE DOGS NAME IS SPUD. SPUD!!!!!
Yeah, that's mentioned in the review... a handful of times, actually.
Anyone here who would like this series to turn into « Pixar in review »? I mean, there are cameos from various movies 😉
Not enough likes on these older episodes 😂
Good stuff
Can you do Aladdin the return of jafar and Aladdin and the king of thieves
Considering they're direct-to-video & the animation is subpar in comparison, I doubt they will.
Man this was the kids podcast, grandpa Greg and Nick fucking sucking out the fun of the review. I'm expecting a shitton more going forward, it's not looking promising.
Whoa! Kevin got pretty!
Nice intro.
Toy Story was the pre 9/11. Good to know, Greg.
Negative 3 in 1995
Wow
i like the movie but i don't love. i actually liked it less than i used to after the rewatch. just feels like it's missing something
Kev got the boot. Booo!
the barbie legs and fishing hook toy is a Hooker
Romance girl.
2020
Like it a lot
Blasphemy for anyone who doesn't have 1 and 2 aren't at the top
what is it with greg and his 9/11 jokes
A 9/11 joke is just two plane (too plain)
For the love of fuck do Harry Potter in review
Anyone else watching in 2023?
0:23 to 0:38
Greg was not happy with nick at all
why didn't you guys just do this AFTER Toy Story 4 is out? Just like how you did it after Endgame came out. Weird inconsistency.
we're watching all of them leading up to 4. like we watched all of mcu leading up to infinity war.
Why dont you just do all Pixar movies, to only do toy story kinda feels like a wasted opportunity.
They’re just trying to lead up to toy story 4. It would take way too long to review all of them.
@@henreebee6561 They can do the rest after TS4 is out.

I like when in Review was a stand-alone kinda of thing rather than taking one day a week of content. This is boring to me.
