  • Part 2 of The Burke Mountain EWS. It's been a few years since I stopped downhill racing professionally and switched to being a full time UA-camr. In fact most people don't realize I used to race MTBs at all. That being said, when I did race downhill, The Enduro World Series was still in it's infancy and it wasn't a discipline that interested me much. However one of the most popular requests I get is to enter and EWS race, so how fast are UA-camr Mountain bikers? Let's find out.

Hey all if you missed part one - that video is here ua-cam.com/video/MYuzyYcO9Wo/v-deo.html - Oddly enough that video got age restricted but even after the appeal UA-cam stopped showing it to people's feeds. So If you could share these videos, and engage with them that would really help out. I've been really busting my butt to get these videos out as quickly as possible, so when things like this happens it really stings.

Phil you made my da. I was like, "damn i feel sorry for Phil" when i saw you crash but to win a stage and still come 4th with three crashes -- AMAZING MAN, SHOWS JUST HOW FAST YOU ARE!!! Imagine where youd be without those crashes (cough, cough - 1st Place)

Oooo yeess, oooo yess, when I saw you in the first seconds of this vid I imediately tought "that is how someone that messes with racing looks like"..
And the ½ crash in the first seconds od the vid, also point in that direction..
Phill thanks for putting out a true image of this thing you went trough, not editing the content to make look yourself as a superman that does not care for the race but instead had camed here to film some EWS.. Enduro is extremly punishing for the body and you went in with no regard..

I'll always think motocross is the most physically taxing sport overall (because it is) but man, mtb-ing is gnarly. the feeling of your legs being on fire and your heart pounding through your chest and your throat hurting from the rapid movement of air in and out lol so much fun though.

I know racing is not your favorite thing to do Phil, but it makes for great videos! I raced my 1st enduro ever (at age 49 because why not start racing when you are about to hit the AARP club) at Killington a couple weeks ago. Don’t get me wrong, there was barely any Clint and it couldn’t hold a candle to what you did at Burke, but it was physically and mentally demanding nonetheless. I think I’ll stick to downhill….
