River City Ransom EX is a remake of the original River City Ransom game on the NES. The game revolves around Kunio and Ryan (the 2 main protagonists) who, after knowing about Ryan's girlfriend being kidnapped, goes to River City High School to rescue her. Along the way, Kunio and Ryan encounters many gangs in their turfs, and fights them to seek out the bosses behind the nefarious plot.
In this TAS by tom_mai78101 ( tasvideos.org/... ), we get to see as many special events that one can activate in a single play-through of the game, which leads to some entertaining chaos with each fight.

This is hands down the definitive version of River City, truly the best beat em up remake of all time
Man went from "Hey, I'm an athlete who beats up people!" to "*teleports behind you* Nothing personnel, kid."
River City games are the best!! I've got the downloaded reboot sequels on DS and they're pretty good too

Another RCR EX TAS and it's doing a different feature this time? Fuck yeah!
So if you had recruited Conan, not only would he join your team, but you'd get support from the entire Generic Dudes gang, having the gang members join you in fighting until they've all been knocked out once. Also Conan has a joke special move, called Big Bang. It's a joke because it's a big-ass fart that hits the whole screen for massive damage, and to do it you have to get put into a stun state which is far harder to get into than you'd think.
Yoooo you recruited Thor! He requires an almost maxed out reputation stat, which is hidden from the player and goes up and down based on how you play. The TAS doesn't interrupt boss monologues because doing so hurts your reputation.
I am the creator of this TAS, and I am gathering feedback. Is anyone interested in a warpless TAS in both baseline and "maximum events" runs?
Warpless would be really cool for either, yeah.

@@tommai78101 My nick on TASVideos is teoheel, you can find some small feedback here and there. I'm not always see videos on TASVideos before they got published because I'm kinda lazy to check them in Submissions.
BTW. I see a Downtown Special TAS on your channel... can you do some other Nekketsu TASes if possible? Specifically Nekketsu Kakutou Densetsu. And some other Downtown Special TASes.
now do the 2007 version
I need "the most accurate walkthrough / guide" for the 2007 version, because I have no idea how many events there are in that version, and the game story progression is a bit different.

Yea it's a convoluted mess for anyone who doesn't speak japanese.
@@tommai78101 personally i don't think that can do in a single run, as those color mix method for 4 shadows and alien team...? 2007's new story really need a translation. however personally one single boss rush + Robot todo / yamada (i mean slick in Eng version) run is very good for some fun play
Why did they remove Billy and Jimmy in this version?
It is possible they are available in the 2007 version. Unconfirmed though.
