I enjoyed seeing my home city of Leicester in its heyday. Thank you. I live in Bath & NE Somerset now. I visited recently for the first time in three or four years. Honestly, my heart sank. So, so sad…….
The image at 4:30 and then again at 4:52 had me stumped at first. I had no idea that there used to be a building so close to the Magazine (or maybe even attached to it), particularly as I remember the Magazine being in the middle of a traffic island in the 1970s and hence the building on the right must have been demolished when they built the inner ring road.
Thank you for showing these beautiful images, although i feel so sad what Leicester once was, has now become.
