I always love your videos and this is yet another great pattern! Of course I haven't finished even one yet! LOL! Thanks for all the inspiration and the smiles. Love your silliness!
I absolutely adore your videos. You have a fantastically sweet, bright, and cheery disposition. Such a pleasure to watch each and every podcast/tutorial. The way you demonstrate each technique is very very clear. I really want to knit this shawl......but need to get a "few" things off the needles first. Your videos are the BEST!

Thank you again for all the gorgeous patterns and easy tutorials. Have been subbed & read every email since yt recommended you. Have a beautiful weekend gorgeous lady. Blessed be
Hi Chandi, I am in love with you, it is so easy to watch your videos, the way you explain everything I LOVE IT, I am new with knitting, you are doing an amazing job, THANK THANK YOU So much for sharing your free patterns 👏👏👏👏👏👏
This is soooo beautiful! Now I'm trying to figure out what other colors would look like far away in order to get a matching 3rd color.❤ Not that I don't absolutely love your choices, because I do! I just can't get any of your drool-worthy, gorgeously beautiful, luster sheen yarn right now. But I love this and you present it so well!❤❤❤
I'm well into the pattern, making a shawl for my granddaughter to wear with an elegant dress. I've chosen a fingering weight yarn that is merino and silk, and am using two colours, same tones but one darker. I realize I may need to add a couple of repeats to get the size I want. Something that would have helped me as I went backwards to find a mistake on my 6th repeat... would be a close up on the slip stitches rows so that I would be able to read the work on the needles right away and know immediately if I'm off track. For example, to say in Row 7, you will always be 'slipping' a stitch of opposite colour. But kudos... I love the texture and the slightly darker shade for colour B makes the texture pop... love it.
This is indeed beautiful. Can't wait to attack it. Wow. Thanks so much. Your videos are always so helpful . Only problem is that I hold my yarn differently. And I am not really "a knitter." But I can follow a pattern slowly.
Can't wait to give this a try!! Have learned to knit and perl with your great videos Chandi (I'm a knitter!! Whoop-whoop!). Worried though about as I am an American style knitter trying to to follow the video with your Continental style knitting.
Love you yarns. I saw where my Bag if Day lady. Her name is Krystal. I am so jealous of what she got. My budget is to tight to afford it. Very beautiful stuff.
Your patterns are getting better and better and beautiful too . is this beginner friendly. Oh can u make next the autumn cascade shawl from start to finish also how to do the lace
The body of the shawl is definitely doable, the lace section is a little more challenging. ❤️. I am not sure if I would be able to do the whole Cascade shawl (because of time constraints), but I might be able to do a portion of it. ❤️
Hello, my Dear. This is a stunning shawl, I was wondering if you would be able to recreate this but using crochet? I still can’t get my head around knitting but I can crochet. I hope you have a lovely and blessed weekend. Take care, my Dear. Much love to you from England.xxx
Laura Filby a SC, Ch 1 , and then Sc in the Ch 1 space of previous row, gives a similar look to this. But I think this lovely yarn, makes it the most elegant! Thank you Chandi!
I love your patterns and have made several of the simpler ones, but every time I try something more complicated, like this one, I inevitably get lost at some point. I'll either screw up in the middle of a row or have to set my work down and when I get back to it, I don't know what row I'm on. How do you keep track of what you're doing?
I'm glad you like our patterns. You might find a row counter useful for keeping track of your rows. Some people also like to place removable stitch markers every 10 rows. I also suggest just keeping a piece of paper and pen next to you to make notes about where you're at in the pattern, or print out the pattern and tic off your progress. You might also want to occasionally run a lifeline, so if you need to rip out a portion, you won't have to rip it out completely.
Thank you so much! We do have a crocheted version of the Milla Shawl, we just haven't released it yet. Please subscribe and you will be notified when we release it!
Hello sweet Chandi. You are my absolute favorite person. You always bring such joy to my days. I am hoping you can give me quick written instructions for this mosaic pattern either in the round, or flat without the increases? I would be forever grateful.
Chandi, another beautiful pattern. I will add it to my ever growing list of patterns that I want to complete. Oh, funny thing, your sound effects, “bloop” messed up my daughter when she was writing an email. She literally typed “bloop”! It was the best!!! 🤣🤣
Hello Chandi, I really like the Milla shawl and would love to knit it for a dear friend but I need some advice. The Allegory luster sport looks like it has a purple hue, is that correct and I did like the amphitrite luster sport. Do you think these 2 colors would go well together; my friend lives purple. I would like to here your suggestions with the colors , thank you for your assistance and for the tutorial.
Hi Lilly, thank you for your message. We're currently not planning on it. I will add it to our suggestion list and we'll see if that's something we will consider one day. Have a lovely week! 💕
Hello sweet thang! If I wanted to make this a rectangular shawl, after casting on for the width what would be the Repeat rows to make this beautiful stitch? My brain is confused 🤔❣️
Omgosh nevermind, after I had my coffee 🤪 I realized I could just cast on an even number then replace the kfbf with a knit stitch. You can use a Garter tab cast on to cast on any number of stitches, but you should always reference the specific pattern to see how many stitches your Garter Tab cast on should produce. For this shawl, the instructions say, "Using color A and smaller sized needle, CO 2 sts. K 4 rows, but do not turn work after last row. (Rotate work 90 degrees, pick up and k 2 sts) twice. You now have 6 sts."

Yes, see my previous response to understand why you have 9 sts instead of 6.
I watched and followed the cast on method. Which left me with 9 stitches. I watched both videos back and forth to triple check . You start this video with 6 stitches.
The 6 sts is correct. Per the pattern instructions, you start with 2 cast on. Then you turn and pick up 2 along the side (4 sts). Then you turn again and pick up 2 more stitches (6 stitches). The Garter tab video that we suggest watching is for a different shawl, which is why you have 9 sts.
