Patpong Night Market is a well-known and lively night market in the heart of Bangkok. The market operates on Patpong Road, a street which is closed to traffic in the evenings to make way for vendors and shoppers. It's a short walk from Sala Daeng BTS Skytrain station and the Silom MRT subway station.
Patpong Night Market is a popular destination to shop for souvenirs, fake brand name items and cheap goods. While shopping is the primary draw, Patpong is well known internationally for it's infamous nightlife and adult entertainment venues. Numerous go-go bars, clubs and other nightlife establishments are on either sides of the market. This aspect of Patpong is unsuitable for families or those looking for a more family-friendly environment.
Alongside the shopping stalls, various street food vendors sell delicious Thai dishes, snacks and drinks. It's a great place to try local cuisine while exploring the market.

Wow the famous Patpong night market. I would love to eat there and shop al l night.
I was here in 2022 when Bangkok reopened to the world after Covid. Patpong Road was totally empty. No night market and food stalls. Bars were shuttered. Glad that this place has bounced back with lots of food stalls. This place is vibrant now.

Patpong Road was totally deserted when I visited, when Bangkok reopened to the world during Covid. Glad that this place is vibrant again with lots of delicious food stalls.

The infamous Patpong Road was the very 1st red light district in Bangkok. And the night market has always accompanied it. I have always wondered how come these 2 co-existed through good times and bad times (covid-19).
