Hello From Australia and Congratulations to Venezuelain people and the President Maduro. ❤❤❤ Free Palestine. NO to WAR, NO to NATO, and the NO to US, stay out of other countries internal, matters.
@@christinecoughlan4699 Maduro might _pretend_ he's for the working class of Venezuela, but it's only a show. His actions demonstrate he's for the wealthy oligarchs, just as the opposition is. "The Maduro government is seeking to turn Venezuela back to the oil conglomerates under its own terms, to benefit its faction of the bourgeoisie and secure its regime. Just last week, the Wall Street Journal reported that Maduro is secretly promising oil executives “generous returns and operational control over joint ventures” and “no-tender contracts without environmental oversight,” as well as “future oil revenues and directly negotiating a restructuring of some $60 billion in debt” to foreign bondholders. The program of both Maduro and his opponent Machado, described approvingly by the Western media as “the Venezuelan Margaret Thatcher,” would equally require massive police state repression. The only significant difference is that the far-right opposition is vowing to dislodge Russian and Chinese interests, which is of strategic and pressing importance for US imperialism." (WSWS)
Venezuelan here, I voted for Maduro. Thanks for being reasonable. Btw I follow this channel way before principally due to Palestine genocide. Is always so sad for me seeing my Latin American brothers being manipulated and misguided, and the opposition here is too unchained, they are very hostile if you dare to say you are socialist. Because in their eyes, people like yourself is the source of all their problems, they just don't know better. But I swear that progress, and I don't mean Venezuelan progress, but humanity progress, will never stop. Maybe someday they will understand why our beliefs, some truly just believe Maduro and his people, I just don't believe them, I know our best choice. How would I vote against this government who, broke relations with Isr*el long before this genocide? How would I vote against it when they are one of the few that leader a country against the imperialism and hostile international politics of USA and the suffering they have created? I don't feel any better than the disappointed and saddened opposition, because even if we, socialist, communists, left wing, won... There is still an ominous enemy to defeat and it goes even deeper than just USA. God if you are there, If you can, give wisdom and will to your children, to humanity

I don't understand how the opposition can say they are for the people and call for more sanctions. Sanctions harm the people. They literally are calling for more harm for their own people. Makes no sense to me.
They don't care about the well being of their own people, they are greedy entrepreneurs, who want to make as much money as they can, without government restraints.
You are right!!The neo Nazi/imperialist Israel/US/Europe doing in Palestinians is the real democratic government in the world which supports genocides act to poor countries

Venezuela's voting system is praiseworthy, and the US could learn a lot from it (it won't, but it could/should). But elections aren't democracy. They decide who will get to participate in decision-making, which inherently means that most people will not be allowed to participate, meaning that everything is according to the personal views, values etc of the few individuals which can and often do contradict what the people want and even demand (which is how/why US politics is so ludicrously unrepresentative of the people, and even keeps the people from coming together on anything. That and the capitalist media and the atomizing effects of capitalism and neoliberalism). Popularity of the decision-makers or their decisions doesn't change that they are made above the heads of the people who will have to live with them. The only way to claim democracy is for the system to be designed so that the people directly control their representatives through community-level democracy, *giving officials zero autonomy*. "Grassroots movements" are not that, they are a form of advocacy that has no direct power, unless through their movement they get the state to give them power over the state. 44:50-45:40 YES! (I have my own thoughts on how, which you can find in my blog linked to my profile.) That, specifically, gets left out of most conversations when talking about "socialist" countries or movements. That should be the first and most prominent aspect of discussion. Including/especially regarding how to ensure that the police are directly accountable to the people. 58:30 That's actually far too easy when most people maintain hierarchical thinking (aka right wing thinking). You come to believe that you are the only one who can fix things, that your ideas should prevail, that only if you could be in charge everything would get done the right way, etc. It isn't power that corrupts, it's hierarchical thinking that corrupts. A person with power who rejects hierarchy is more likely to use their power to dismantle hierarchy, which is a direct threat to the right, whereas a person with power who accepts hierarchy (Maoists are among the worst "leftists" in that regard) is more likely to reinforce it, which directly enables and empowers the right. All of those people who shifted rightwards almost certainly maintained hierarchical beliefs and ways of thinking. That's why leftists have to thoroughly, completely reject it. Authoritarianism is the method of the right for achieving their goals of stricter hierarchies; democracy is the ONLY method of the left for achieving their goals of equality (anti-hierarchy). For someone who thinks hierarchically (themselves and like-minded people should rule "for the sake of everyone else") it isn't that big of a jump to the right. "Their heart is in the right place," but something too many leftists can't come to terms with is that right wingers ALSO have their hearts in the "right place," but their "right place" is dystopian. Once you start shifting rightwards it's easy to take each next step. And that is (a big part of) why democratization is so important. If the US had its way and overthrew Maduro with a right winger, the system itself is designed to allow the right winger to change everything. All it takes is one "wrong person" in a position of power to ruin everything, and that "wrong person" may even say all of the "right things" as they do it. The only guarantee that the people will ever have that their government won't be taken over by fascists and the like is if the system is officially changed to democratize the government, making the people themselves the real power that decides everything and the officials nothing more than liaisons (representatives in fact rather than only in name) between communities. There is no other guarantee. "The Party" won't stop it, because often times "The Party" ends up shifting rightwards over time as its right wing thinking and methods (hierarchy and authoritarianism, even with good intentions) make it so much easier to justify every step that way. It's all about the fighting the counter-revolutionaries, you see, and that means banning homosexuality, controlling speech, etc. 1:26:40 Elections are not democracy. Socialists and leftists more broadly should stop conflating the two. The system has to be redesigned so that the people actually participate in decision-making with legal mandates that their word is the final word. Even if there's a state bureaucracy, the whole system must be controlled through actual democracy practiced by the whole people, not electing "the right people" to do it for them. 2:40:40 Thank you for making the distinction. A socialist (or socialist leaning...?) government in a still-mostly-capitalist country. They need to work on democratizing, not just improving conditions. They should also work on developing local agriculture to reduce reliance on other countries for food (if they aren't doing that already). Great show. My position on democratization aside, improving society is also really important even if it happens from above. And..."Yes to socialism!"
"It's going to rain tonight." "It's raining now," I said. "The radio said tonight." "Look at the windshield," I said. "Is that rain or isn't it?" "I'm only telling you what they said." --Don Delillo White Noise
That clip of people celebrating…. It was organised by the winning party. It’s not spontaneous. I mean, once the stage is set, music is played, Venezuelans burst into celebration. We are like that.
for those who cannot reconcile your reporting (Rania and Zoe) from and of Venezuela, with US MSM reporting despite that they may agree with you on Gaza, and hopefully the whole of Palestine, the issue of Palestine is removed. a one-off that the US has just gotten wrong… it will/would take another live-streamed genocide for that sample population to side with Venezuela, Cuba or the likes… yet, unfortunately, for much of that same sample the grievance would simply be with the death and destruction, not with the grotesqueness of greed and american empire.
Thank you guys for reporting the actual Venezuela elections result

The neighbors saw us crying and came back. They came back to talk to the neighbors and we were given the weekend. So we made him swear by God. He will take us out into the street. Have mercy on him and us. Our country is due to this war and we do not find food for our day, and my brothers and I live in a difficult life. Our father died, may God have mercy on him, and we have no one in this world who was with us in these harsh circumstances. My younger brothers went out into the street and saw...The neighbors eat and stand at their door in order to give them bread even if they break it. By God, to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, they closed the door and expelled them and came back crying. They are dying of hunger. No one has mercy on them and a holiday is returned. I have made a living, and now if one of us helps us with a kilo of flour, I swear to God, I am dying of hunger. My brother, I am an alien to God. Then, I ask you to help me for the sake of God. I ask you, by God, to love goodness and to help me, even if you can, by messaging me on WhatsApp.On this number 00967717354582 and ask for the name of my card and send it and do not be late and may God reward you with all the best, my brothers Sagar, see how they are and help us and save us before they throw us out in the street, you will be lost or we will die of hunger. My family and I ask you, by God, if you are able to help us, do not be late and may God reward you well..`/-~«««~-♡~♡~♡~~•~•~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡♡♡~~~: ~:~¡~¡~¡~;I.i.i.i.i.i. i.I.|.......❤❤❤
Venezuela's voting system is praiseworthy, and the US could learn a lot from it (it won't, but it could/should).

"It's raining now," I said.
"The radio said tonight."
"Look at the windshield," I said. "Is that rain or isn't it?"
"I'm only telling you what they said."

I wish someone would talk about Lula's clownish anti-Maduro propaganda pre-results.
Wow wow wow 1:43:21
Viva Chavizmo!
That clip of people celebrating…. It was organised by the winning party. It’s not spontaneous. I mean, once the stage is set, music is played, Venezuelans burst into celebration. We are like that.
yes the protests are spontaneous, I totally believe you
my question is: why Maduro will allow all those scums to walk free anymore? Why Guaido is still on the discution?
for those who cannot reconcile your reporting (Rania and Zoe) from and of Venezuela, with US MSM reporting despite that they may agree with you on Gaza, and hopefully the whole of Palestine, the issue of Palestine is removed. a one-off that the US has just gotten wrong… it will/would take another live-streamed genocide for that sample population to side with Venezuela, Cuba or the likes… yet, unfortunately, for much of that same sample the grievance would simply be with the death and destruction, not with the grotesqueness of greed and american empire.
Could you put the name of the special guest in the description? I would like to follow him
I wanted to do the same as well. His name is Manolo De Los Santos.
