They should get 1 point for guessing the flavor right and another point if they guess the right number on the board. I think that'll make it more interesting
I was also going to comment this, maybe 2 points for the board 1 point for flavor or something, to incentivize guessing the right flavor.

If they did that Link would actually do considerably better in a lot of the tasting games. Always gets the place or flavor right but can’t capitalize

Likely because I believe they often give a lot of the leftover food to the crew so he was probably being cautious of this.
Cider donuts are a northeast thing very popular in fall. they’re cake donuts made with apple cider, cinnamon and nutmeg. You can often find them at farmers markets and stuff made by apple farmers

They may appear quit plain (no frostings, powders, etc.), but when made fresh, along with a cup of cider or coffee, you can't ask for anything better.
We have them in the South as well! We drive about 30 minutes to the N. GA mountains ever Fall specifically for the cider donuts from one orchard that we love. They aren't unknown to this region though!
Mid-Michigan has a bunch of apple orchards so they’re the doughnut of choice come autumn time in here

This game is pretty genius because every time they show a flavor and I'm like 'oh, that's number 14, easy.' And then I remember they actually have to taste it and guess the flavor as well as remember where it is. Either half on its own would be too simple.

It really is unfair what advantage Rhett and Link would have at picking apples. I have to climb a ladder to reach the apples sometimes! It is all worth it for my doughnut and caramel apple I bring home for later.
