Setting the standard for intermediate oboes since the 1970s, the Renard Artist Model 330 is an ideal instrument for intermediate and advancing oboe players. The original 330 is made from the proprietary plastic resin that Fox is famous for. This special blend of plastics provides exceptional tone quality and intonation while being incredibly durable.
The Renard Artist Model 330 Grenadilla is the all grenadilla wood version of the original 330. It provides enhanced tone quality and is an ideal choice for an oboist’s first wooden instrument.
The Renard Artist Model 330 Hybrid is perfect for anyone wanting to “split the difference” between plastic and wood. Since most oboe cracks occur in the upper joint, the 330 Hybrid’s plastic top lets you worry less about cracking while still enjoying some of the tone quality you get from wood.
All three are built with the Model 330’s well-known robust and reliable keywork, including a 3rd octave key, an articulated C# mechanism, a low Bb vent, a forked F resonance mechanism, and a left F.
