I've been listening to Fena Gitu's 'doing her thing though', Femi one-tippy toe, Petra-Bambika, Timmy t dat-Haitoshi. And I'm like were it not for King Kaka appreciating these and many more talents we'd still be dancing to P Unit songs.
Honestly speaking ,King Kaka's Audience and Sauti Sol's are not necessarily the same..when Sauti Sol makes music they target an International Audience ,All around the world people can Jam to their Music and Understand it.King Kaka's audience on the other hand is mosly Kenyan based.People who Jam to Sauti Sols music are presumably High Class and King Kaka's is Ghetto mostly that explains why there're more likes on the video and less Comments ,Sol Generation dont love drama,we follow their social media so we know just how much they're doing for the Industry unlike those commenting with such Naivity. The way Sauti Sol Has built their Brand comparing them to King Kaka is an Insult.I love King Kaka but he has A while to Go,To the Sol Generation,I just spoke on behalf of many of y'all's minds so You're welcome.
Roots_ _Artista you obviously didn't get me, I talked about their dominant audiences, that doesn't mean ghetto peeps don't listen to Sauti Sol or middle class to King Kaka.
It's about stating the facts, Sauti Sol are the top artists in Kenya and it's an unwritten rule that when you're at the top, you will always become a target. Kaka is entitled to his opinion but he should get his facts right. People always hate on what they don't understand. The ignorance is real. How is signing artists the only way to help the industry? Let's not be fooled that there are any record labels in this country at all, that have the capacity to offer label services to artists or actually afford to offer recording deals. Before Sauti Sol made the modern day afro pop singing 'boy band' group in Kenya cool, nobody was willing to take the risk or even try. Hip hop, Kapuka and Genge were the dominant genres up until 2007. Sautisol have stuck to the process, paid their dues (10,000 hours) and let their work speak for itself. Having been in the industry for over 10 years and literally spending the last 4 years at the top, there’s a lot to learn from them. Instead of copying what Nigerians, Americans or Tanzanian artists are doing, they have always maintained their originality and strategic approach to everything they do. They have kept on pushing boundaries through their music and in the process opening doors for other Kenyan artists. They keep setting standards and are not lured by market forces to produce mediocre products just because” That’s what is hot” right now. Back to the matter at hand, Rabbit signing artists to his company is like starting a family (wife and kids) when you don’t even have a plate or a spoon leave alone a chair to sit on in your house. This means you are sentencing your family to a lifetime of struggle in the name of “starting a family of your own.” A real man provides for his family. If you are not in a position to, wait until you are ready. This is exactly what Sauti Sol have been doing. They are not in a rush to sign artists yet as they have been laying down structures based on world standards from established industries so that through them, every stakeholder in the industry can replicate the formula here for the good of the Kenyan music scene. For example, if Kaka claims to be “helping”, at some point last year Rich Mavoko was under his stable. But he had to leave because Diamond offered him a better deal. Right now he is dropping quality music videos and working with a top notch audio producer. His image has greatly improved. The fact is, sooner or later, every artist under Kaka Empire will jump at a better alternative if they're presented with the option. Well done Kaka, you just played yourself.
King is right here, mmeshikilia nani mkono for those 10years that's y mmecatch feelings coz its damn true Sauti sol mko selfish Sana...so when u gonna help others until when Jesus is back.
Fwenky Githe question is when did you help someone? Don't ever judge anyone if you don't know their story. Have you ever bothered to inquire about what they do or you simply just listen to music and zone out. Don't be biased because you like a particular artist you feel compelled to attack them.
Wizkid told Showtime Celebrity that he established his own record label to give up-and-coming artists a platform to showcase their talent.[29] On 17 April 2013, Wizkid signed Maleek Berry to Starboy Entertainment. Wizkid and Maleek Berry's work credits include "Lagos to Soweto" and "The Matter", among others.[75] On 29 April 2013, Premium Times reported that Wizkid signed producers Uzezi Oniko and Okiemute Oniko, popularly known as Legendury Beatz, to his imprint. He made the announcement via Twitter.[76] On 9 May 2013, he unveiled photos of himself with the aforementioned acts signed.[77] On 20 August 2013, Wizkid signed recording artist L.A.X to the label. He made the announcement moments after debuting the music video for "Caro", the label's first official single.[78][79] On May 7, 2016, Wizkid announced the signings of Efya, R2Bees, and Mr Eazi to Starboy Entertainment. He made the announcement shortly after his performance at the 17th edition of the Ghana Music Awards.[80]
After two years I still here SAUTI SOL shining, their record label SOL GENERATION is ontop.si kwa ubaya niulize tu ako wapi huyo king kaka sijamskia since hii interview.Anyway nilikuwa tu napita
I respect both sauti sol and king kaka but the truth is that king kaka is bigger than them.he has brought more artists and has had more impact to the youth than sols.you have to mentor people,it has given me a challenge to mentor people in my industry too.its never easy and needs alot of sacrifices.king kaka hapa yuko juu
this 4 boys ni kama vijana wa mikono wa king kaka, kucompare king kaka na hawa vijana ni kutusi music industry..... what king kaka said is very correct, king alisema jua cali amehelp music industry, nimeona akisaidia wasanii wengi hadi wanajibeba, king pia amehelp wasanii kibao sai wanaweza mbaya... hawa wasee wanawork wakiwa wanne na hakuna kitu ya maana nimeona wakifanya isipokuwa collabo na watu wa abroad , king ako peke yake na bado anawaweza.
Sauti Sol are right, they employ people in the music industries and have contributed a lot. So King Kaka should take several sits and continue doing his thing.
As for who is best, thou shall not compare two very different genres. When it comes to giving back to society and uplifting other talents, the artistes who have aren't making any noise about it. That means its neither the Sol nor Rabbit
Sit down:::: go and thank King Kaka for telling you what nobody is courageous enough to tell you; "the truth"...I thought this group was made of grown ups but mmejaa utoto...who is your mentor.. King is right..who have u mentored so far????
The fact that these guys had to explain themselves this much just says it all. We will do, we will do but King Kaka is already doing, note the difference. U sing good songs but that's just about it.
I love sauti sol so so so much bt kaka was right here wen upcoming smetimes all U nid is sme1 to hold ua hand, give U that opportunity to display ua talent or passion 4 th world to see N fate will take its course si hata story za doo.U dont nid to have it all to help sme1.
Meeting awesome celebrities and attending awards is such a hard job ...aki mtu asaidie sauti sol ..wanaumia jameni.... Mitches...once a boy band always a boy band.
I just have one question. All those people pressed about sauti sol not giving back to the community, what have you done for the community? If you haven't even donated your shirt from your back to a begger do not be a keyboard warrior talking about Sauti sol didn't do this, and King Kaka did this. If they want to give back they will give back. Is it by force? If it's eating you that much then start with yourself. Don't show us your ignorance through your biases. It's like you live with these people. Today you jam to their music and when they hit international charts you'll be the keyboard patriot saying stuff like "proudly Kenyan". But when isht hits the fan you start tearing down at these artists. Why? Kenyans never cease to amaze me. If your beloved King Kaka is passionate about giving let him give back with his whole heart and focus on himself. What others do is non of his business. Did you ever see mother Teresa take a jab at Queen Elizabeth? Please eh take over and become their empowerment manager if it hurts you this bad. abeg I'm just helping you too don't shoot the messenger 🙏🙏
So why are you guys throwing shed yet King Kaka was right n he will remain the Legend in Kenyan music, he has really helped upcoming musicians ,also he has he's own brand called "KAKA EMPIRE" n what have you guys done in your music career other than travelling!!! you can't even compare yourself with him, he's very far compared to you.
You could have used two word, you exposed your weakness boys. More so your songs combined is a one sentence for King Kaka. kaka was right any way, he is within, you go out, you fight for impression but less impact.
I honestly feel this is a WAAAAAY TOOOO BIG battle King Kaka put himself in. Will he survive? These guys are simply on another planet man. King Kaka ukifika hapo nitakuheshimu..but for now malizana na watu wako level yako (Unawajua). These guys are no longer just entertainers..they are entertainment itself. They are a Top International Brand. Waay up there!
U just can't compare sauti sol and king kaka..ngomaa za sauti sol hu hit 1m plus ha ha king kaka ile international stage ameenda ni ku and moi university
King kaka remains the king and the best of nyinyi four... amebring to fame watu femi one,timmy... bt sauti sol.... mmmm!!! Bado... acheni mafeelings...
wow what arrogance, its funny hw at first they were acting like they didnt care yet its pretty clear they all had sthing to say about it...hahaha thats why i love King Kaka, authentic, genuine and real
These idiots made King Kaka even bigger than what he already was. Too much feelings here!!You should have let your manager (PR team)address this, but you’d have let it slide.
A lot of yall be talking abt sauti being international this shit aint abt that its about respect and giving back to the community we all came from king kaka did that perfectly..... i dont think kaka can be pissed off by such a small thing (poster) there must be a reason??...sauti be talking like they really guilty...?? quit this beefn n shit come together as kenyans make music n change the world'
If it wasn't for the white man behind sauti soul, training, showing them how to dress, how to sing, what to sing .they had no chance and they still don't if he quit.
And you’re even fighting one another on who should speak here!!! Pathetic ppl whose pride make them think they’re the best thing that happened after sliced bread.
"A lukewarm artist signing another lukewarm artist " iko on point.
Sauti sol does great music in international level.....Bt remember to respect the King.
I've been listening to Fena Gitu's 'doing her thing though', Femi one-tippy toe, Petra-Bambika, Timmy t dat-Haitoshi. And I'm like were it not for King Kaka appreciating these and many more talents we'd still be dancing to P Unit songs.

Supporting other artistes doesn't mean you are helping the industry. I'm with Saudi Sol on this one

-the tall guy
-the guy with the deep voice

Sauti Sol are right, they employ people in the music industries and have contributed a lot. So King Kaka should take several sits and continue doing his thing.
