I’m a 57 year old come back guy after a 30 year lay off. I sure wish my new trumpet heroes were at least older than my own children , but then this guy comes along. He will be one to watch the next 30-40 years.
This is awesome. I studied with David Baldwin and now one of the best young trumpet players on Earth is copying David Baldwin's interpretations. This is awesome!
This audio is not in line with the video, there is breathing sounds where he isn't breathing and where he is breathing there isn't a break in the sound. I am in no way saying that this is fake, but I am saying that this video was overdubbed with separate audio. That's it. There is also no doubt in my mind that he just overdubbed the video with different audio he recorded himself Edit: Side note, I don't know anyone else who can do this except for Allen Vizzuti or something so I highly doubt that he used somebody else's audio
@@nategillette3863 Yes, he is circular breathing in some spots too, but usually when you are circular breathing when recording a really direct instrument like a trumpet you don't hear it that much. But I'm talking about full on inhaling through the mouth breaths.

I feel a combination of pleasure, awe, and self-loathing.

What's that mic? Just curious, I love its ability to actually capture the brassiness of the trumpet.
Did you read the sheet music or did you play It by memory?

Lmao the auto-genererated subtitles
Hi Justin
Absolute insanity.

I think he may be circular breathing in a couple spots. That is why you are hearing the breathing

@@nategillette3863 At 1:37, he does an inhale through his mouth in the video but there is no break in the sound in the audio
Just enjoy the performance, is it too hard to just listen watch and enjoy? The guy is amazing regardless.
Elmer can play this upside down
