People had no problem when YS lied and tricked HFX into their relationship and actually forgive everything YS does because he is handsome and FX loves him.
But they are mad and call HFX stupid when the YLM tricked and she wasn't aware.
If a young fox like YS could trick her so easily, an experienced and old fox like YLM would be much easier. HFX is no where perfect. She is supposed to be an naive and inexperienced in love even she is 32 and successful at work. The original title of the drama is Senior girl 's 1st love- basically HFX still has a naive pure heart of a young girl even she is older. She only wants to date and experience love and it's not her fault that both guys are emotionally manipulative.

she's really the rabbit in the fox world. she really believes what ye lu min said about what she should do in her love relationship. that's her personality as she's too naive about man and love. she's going into the relationship too late, like a teenage girl experience first love.

Then you must be very young and don’t understand the story at all. You probably don’t understand why YS loves HFX so much either right, nor even notice everyone in the drama adore HFX? Or why the parents are so biased toward her. Lol It has to do with her personality, how she treats people and how she has been doing everything great in her life. But you probably didn’t pay attention at all
Just like YS, he didn’t understand HFX in the beginning. He was attracted to her without understanding much about her. He even immaturely put blame on her when she accepting his break-up dare, or even hurting her with his words. Yes, he was the one that asked the breakup ( but he didn’t think she would accept it, that’s why it shocked and hurt him) as well as the 3-month-term but dude was so hurt he acted like she played and lied to him even deep down he knows she loves him. But latter he got mature and understood her difficulties and POV. That’s why they could could be together at the end after she gained encouragement.
This is one realistic and relatable drama, which is why I like it so much. It’s not a romcom or an idol sweet drama or typical dramatic Chinese drama. No character is perfect nor a villain here, but just normal human- really 3 dimensional characters. The drama is about life and how we struggle with ourselves, society pressure, family and other things. But if you are too young or skip too many scenes or don’t pay attention to their lines or details or never understand social pressure you wouldn’t understand the beauty of it, unfortunately.
I could list many things YS did wrong too like he was selfish violent / often pressuring and immature in the beginning. He talked sh*t/ some insulting stuffs and if I were her I wouldn’t forgive him that easy. He also hid a lot of things which didn’t help with her insecurities. Maybe because they don’t look like they have big age gap because they are really pretty and match well together so people often dismiss their actual problem in this nor her worries. Just imagine you are 40 and you Bf is only 30, handsome talent popular and is doing at best in his life etc , do you have enough encouragement to be with him or enough trust that he will continue to love you with all the wrinkles that start showing on your face? Do you have enough encourage to face what society talk about or look at you and your parents - like you seducing him and ruing his life, just like FXX sample in the drama. That’s why she apologized to her parents before getting back to YS. You also don’t put yourself in HFX's Situation and age to think how older women love. The love and behaviors of women in their 30s and 40s aren’t the same with teen or early 20s. We don't just throw everything away for love. There are many things that more important to us like family, work security etc at this age . The story works because this is HFX's 1st love so her love is still pure, but in real life most women doesn't have the 1st love or stay innocent until her age, so you will be surprised how many would choose YLM in reality.
Back to the drama, both were wrong, inexperienced, had a lot of insecurities and most importantly lacked of communication. They didn’t talk or understand each other at all. It was pure attraction from the beginning when they got together. He didn't think about long-term, neither did her. Only after being with each other and breaking-up they realized they love each other and want to be w each other a long time so they would try fight their way to make it work. They also only showed their real selves and began to understand each other better after breaking up when all the worries and insecurities in the earlier relationship aren’t there. Before,they didn't dare to show their real feeling, thoughts and jealousy... because of their own insecurities, worries and lack of understanding each other. And that’s why they needed to grow and change. The title is find yourself for a reason, right?
You might hate or don’t understand her now. So do many young viewers who watch this drama. It speaks volumes of the double standard and social pressure women have in this society. Just like the drama said, women always get blamed even both are wrong here but you see nothing wrong with him but hate her so much for it lol ? But I hope when you are her age you would understand her and the drama better. Maybe another 10 years or so?
And her parents are refreshing and understanding- some of the better parents in cdramas. Imo. But if you skip scenes or don’t understand the drama you may not understand how great they and their biases are because according Chinese tradition, sons >>>>. Hence they are refreshing and their bias is understandable and “fair”, just like how teacher with good and bad students. It’s not that they don’t love the bad students but they obviously have their fav good student who always did well in class- that HFX in the drama. That’s why she was afraid of making them disappointed and also why everyone loves her. She is caring, giving, smart and did everything well with no controversy in her life until YS... Hence it was a big deal to her. If she lived like HCY, dating with his students and breaking up every 2-3 months and have his ex crying at the door often then dating a 10-year younger might not be as big deal, right? The drama actually highlighted the double standard between men and women in society pressure. Most viewers have no prob with HCY dating 12-yr younger even they were a student-teacher relationship nor no one pressing him to get married at his age nor scolding him when he was oblivious about the leads relationship, but HFX get blamed for everything when she was in similar situation by people in this society especially to younger people who don’t put their self in her shoes
KV002 Maybe I am to young to understand or maybe I’m not but what really bothered me, was when the parents forced Canyang to break up with Minmin. They were only thinking about Fanxing. Which I understand, she is already 32 and it’s hard to find someone at that age, so of course they want her to get married with Luming as soon as possible before it’s too late but they weren’t taking into consideration Canyangs feelings. What’s even worse, is that she won’t admit she’s being biased.
I get that he was a player and most of his relationships only lasted 2-3 months, but people change. You can tell he really likes Minmin and is serious about this relationship, he even changed universes to protect her. And I agree with Canyang when he said the mom was being biased because she was. He shouldn’t have to give up his happiness just so they could be satisfied.
As for Fanxing, I hated that she also thought that he needed to end it. I get that she wanted to get married as soon as possible because of her dad’s condition but why would you sit there and watch your brother give up his happiness just so you could be with someone you aren’t happy with? I understand that she is 32 and wants to find happiness but why take away someone else’s?
In the end, I guess it did work out. Fanxing realized her feeling for Yuan Song and knew that she was only gonna be happy with him. Everyone got their happily ever after.

HCY dated and broke up w girls every 3 months and his gf come to cry at the door all the time. To his parents and even HFX, he isn’t serious about any girls and is a bad guy ( to all the girls out there). HFX called him a jerk even he is her brother when she was drunk. He is a good brother and son, but that doesn't change the fact he is a bad guy to all the girls.
Meanwhile HFX never dated in her life and to her parents, it was so serious that she was crying and need to have a serious talk to her parents for going against their wishes.. So put yourself in their parent shoes and think if their behaviors make sense. To me it makes perfect sense.
Why they favor HFX more? Just like teacher adore their good students more than bad students even they love both. HFX always listen to them and treats them and everyone nicely, do everything according to the book and never against the rule or moral ... That’s why everyone love her at work too. Meanwhile, HCY is a bad boy and doesn’t listen like her. So it’s not strange and actually more reasonable that they adore and support her more. At least they know she is serious with this relationship because she is serious about everything in her life. No to mention this is her FIRST RELATIONSHIP vs HCY's n relationship. How do they know HCY is serious? Until now he Hasn’t yet... So why are you blaming them not to have trust in him? Trust and respect are earned, not to ask for. If HCY has never had a relationship and this is his 1st or he has always been serious and treat his gfs well then you can say HFX is selfish and her parents are wrong.
Anyway yes you are very young and immature like I said as you don’t see those details and understand the drama and characters. Hopefully one day you will appreciate the drama and the parents better. They are some of the great parents in Chinese dramas. Their bias makes sense and is refreshing since most if not all Chinese parents would sell their daughters for their sons.
@@emaema9099 you are really funny. even if He CanYang can or already change his 'bad habit', do you think his parents can see it? you can see it because you are a viewer who can see everything he did, how he talk or how loyal he is to Cai Minmin, but his parents can't see it. Logically, people need time to accept and see if someone who betrays/cheats on them really change, for example your bf/gf cheats on you for so many times before can you believe him/her right away? you need time to see his/her behaviour to believe him/her again right? human is like that whether you are parents, siblings, or friends we need some proofs to see and to believe again. We are learning everyday to trust someone and we need time to move on. Even in this story, at the end his parents believe his words because they really see He Canyang treat woman seriously not treat her/them like some cabbage at the market.
and when you said about He FanXing, "would you sit there and watch your brother give up....". you already didn't like her character, so i don't think you can think fair about this situation. at the first place, ye lu ming is not the one she loves and only treated him as male friend who she can talk about her secret. It's not important for her if she can't be with ye lu ming when everything in her mind is about yuan song. she's the same like her parents, knowing He Can Yang since child, how he date girls and dumped them, she doesn't want the same thing happen to cai minmin. She's the one who said to He Can Yang "do you think women are like cabbages at the market?"
and can't you see when He Can Yang said to He FanXing, she's shameless and selfish just because she want to date a very young man and confess to her parents about yuan song but he's not just because he's a man. He's being bias too just because his parents don't approve his relationship.
Every character in this drama is not perfect. Even in real life you can't find a perfect human being, we are learning everyday to do the best in our life whether it's about love or family. He Fan Xing, when she needs to take care other people feelings (especially her parents) but not her own feelings, that's why people who think this is fairy tale story with happily ever after can't accept her character. This is a just a story, but life is much more complicated than this more than can you imagine.
