To set the record straight... The scene could be accessed from two different directions. After responding we were advised other way would be best/fastest access.
To cover criticism. ...I'm a volunteer fire chief and there was nothing wrong with that response to a chimney fire...we would roll everything available, some of the worst structure fires I've seen started that way...fuel is cheap and you look better than waiting for more trucks when things deteriorate
I heard they stopped making red fire trucks and they ably make them in yellow white and greenish.? Someone tell me is this true??? They all pretty much look like these????
ok. cause ours in goreville illinois is excatilly like this one only one (our pumper) is an internatiol and is the kind with the square head lights. ive got videos of our trucks on my page if anyones interested.
Brandon Hess .. you can get a fire truck painted with any color of the rainbow. I've seen green, blue, baby blue, pink, white, black, red, lime green, yellow, orange and even purple fire apparatus. It's the department who determines the color. :)
@Carter Collins bad response time my department is an volunteer company with several different stations and at each station when an call comes in we have at least a truck rolled out within 5 minutes of page
Wow slowly walking to the trucks and ambulance as they were asking whats going on as they were it should not even taken them a minute and a half to be in the trucks and gone and it sadly and scarily took them almost 6 minutes !!!! It takes a person 3 minutes to die from no oxygen or bleeding to death seconds and the first couple minutes matter fire fighters and ambulance people !!!!!
I see you're living up to your name because the video is only 5 minutes long and they had 2 trucks and a tanker out the door in under 2 minutes. I'd say thats solid considering it takes FDNY 2 minutes to get out of any of their downtown NYC stations with a ladder truck and engine, and they are one of the bars people measure by in the fire world.
@@Stargazzer811 it should never ever take an ambulance crew 5 mins or more to get to their bus and get out on the road seconds count in all situations they should never ever wonder around wondering what's going on this is a sad pathedic ambulance crew period !!
Love it. The maintenance on the rigs looks amazing.
Justin Maillet this is in Somerset county PA. A couple miles north of the Pennsylvania Maryland line.
It's in Pennsylvania, you can see the EV license plate on one of the trucks and I recognize the county station number, it's near Somerset, PA.
i love to see fire departments that still use rotators..
dave96_118 I call those ok' timey lightbars

Nice and calm. No spazzing. Great job and safe driving guys!
I like those old Ford fire apparatuses
Great video! Youre ambulance is similar to ours except ours has one led mini bar and the rest are traditional strobes and rotators
Im confused? You guys send 2 engines and a tanker to a chimney fire? Was it upgraded to a structure fire?
It's better to have them and not need them than to get on scene and need them there, only to turn around and not have them.
WTF, Wrong way? lol.. y'all were calm for a chimney fire.. excellent job!!
what was he looking for?
really going the wrong way?
Are those fire trucks custom or commercial chassis fire trucks
Or was one of the engines sent to a draft site?
Is this in Connecticut??
Nice equipment and firehouse

It's the departments choice. Some argue different colors are more visual and can be seen better in poor lighting situations.
They still make red trucks. it classic. some departments just have different preferences

@Carter Collins but the other trucks provide an example though
@Carter Collins that is correct it also depends on how many members you have
