this is literally called microdermabrasion and it does not get rid of acne.. all it does is exfoliate the dead skin cells and removes/lightens hyperpigmentations/blemishes/scars on the skin. doesnt stop you from acne.. in fact, i would not recommend anyone who has active acne to do this procedure because it can pop the pustules and spread it around the face causing even more bacteria to spread thus more acne.
Fyi, the camera can't pick up all of your acne on screen to check yourself and stop telling them they have it better. You don't know until you meet them face to face.
Alana Rabinowitz Yeah, but if they are going to compare how well this works, might as well get a good person to try it o n so that the improvement is more noticeable. Because honestly, they barely have much acne.
Alana Rabinowitz That literally makes no sense, someone with severe acne is absolutely not the same as someone who has some/milder acne. Having severe acne is painful and horrible, literally a different level, dude. It’s like saying someone who lost a finger have it just as bad as someone who lost an arm, like um... no?? Wtf
Gracie Playz O I didn’t know that . *sarcasm* I’m just saying if they’re gonna show how a service works they should use people with worse acne. The comment was mainly aimed towards the black girl so you can bring it down a few notches .
For anyone suffering from acne, my mom is a dermatologist and I've been working as her assistant during my summer breaks, and what I learned is that for whiteheads and blackheads you can either use tretinoin or clindamycin at night with benzoyl peroxide. If you have large red pimples that means bacteria has entered so you have to use an antibacterial such as benzoyl peroxide, use this twice a day, once at bedtime with the clindamycin or tretinoin, then once more in the morning. If you have dark scars from the acne you can also add azelaic cream because it whitens while also treating your pimples, however if you have deep scars, only laser can help. Hope anyone finds this useful, I gave the generic names so just check the acne products you find if they contain those ingredients! Also if your acne is really bad, it'll take about 2 to 3 months for it to really clear up, and once it has, don't discontinue the medication because the medicines are also for prevention.
Exactly. Smh, BuzzFeed workers get like everything for free. It makes me wanna work there honestly but I'm not comfortable on camera enough and the only people who get free stuff are the people on camera
Matthew Plays it doesn't make it go away instantly, it just clears dirt and oil from deep inside of your pores. You have to have a consistent skin care routine after the treatment to take away acne
I get this treatment once a month because my skin is extremely dry that pieces of skin would crumble off, this treatment just feels weird, it’s painless and works extremely well.
They probably want us to feel terrible. That's why they picked the least acne-covered people on their team. Also, close up, people have a lot of imperfections on skin.
Acne is ACNE!!!! Lmao you and that Af.girl are DAF! You don't say "adult pores", "adult 💩" etc... Maybe if your hygiene was kept on point you wouldn't have "Adult Retardation" 😂
Mary J trust me. People with acne do everything they can to get rid of it. It's often genetic, or hormonal, and something that can't be controlled without pills.
Uh, St. Ives Apricot Scrub has actually come under fire because the apricot seed 'beads' they put in it have been shown to cause micro cuts in the skin since they're very sharp. This increases the risk of MORE acne since bacteria can enter those cuts without you even realizing. So, no. Keep your scrub.
Lily Hudgins I originally cited st Ives as the scrub because It was a random one that came to mind at the time, but my point was that any scrub will do the job
"Oh a liitle bit of redness and a little bit of dry skin and a little bit of acne and a little bit 🎶 of monica in my life! A little bit of ericka by my side ! A little bit of rina all I need 🎶" Just copied the doctor and Idrk the lyrics of the song
she probably had them opened in the beginning to see what they were doing or opened them slightly throughout the procedure. they had a lot of cuts in the video.
So for the past few months I was breaking out like crazy , and being left with dark acne scars on my face . Id cover them up with concealer but it was honestly getting frustrating . So I started looking for a product to help with the scarring and my acne and I came across this wonderful product . I been using ARGAN Rain argan oil for 8 days now , morning and night and I believe to see some progress which makes me a very happy customer .
I've had this and one with more water. Can't remember the name. But it does work, but you HAVE to put in work. You need to use proper face wash, tea tree oil ones are really good. You can't do it with really bad acne or scars, and you cannot pick at it. It will get worse. I did pick so nothing really changed, but it's better than it was i suppose. I'd definitely recommend it.
I got this done for my acne.. Pretty much scars and redness....and also whiteheads... All over my face including the chin and the temples This treatment actually worked on my skin.. It kinda removed the upper layer.... Made my skin even... Sure it feels rough during the treatment.... And there's basically powder everywhere on your face... But days later... It looks so different!!!
It can actually make it much worse, if you have acne you don't want to use anything abrasive because it will spread the bacteria, all this doing is exfoliating so you are much better off having a peel done
These types of treatments are secondary treatments for people who have managed to get their acne mostly under control. They help with skin resurfacing and can remove black heads and white heads and reduce the appearance of scars. You should not exfoliate over active cysts or large comedones. I used these types of treatments after I completed my rounds of accutane
basically it thins out the stratum corneum via microdermabrasion to held prevent the clogging of pores and to further stimulate the stratum germinitavum
This kind of scares me. I’ve been learnt with my acne that treating my skin as sensitive and treating it with lots of hydration and moisture has been the best way to treat it:
I use to get this done sophomore year of hs and guys it worked!!!! I have really bad acne and when I use to get this done, my skin looked soooooo much better. I didn't get bumpy and I pimples didn't pop up. But sadly it's expensive as hell and it made me broke so lmfao. I did it for 7 sessions (once a month) After I stopped doing this, my acne did come back and I had experience with bumps resurfacing. You have to continuously get this done. If you have bad acne and have money, try this out! Now I am a freshman in college and sadly now I'm on antibiotics and creams which slowly works, but my skin doesn't look like what it did when I did this.
There is a big difference between pimples and acne. Thank goodness I only ever got pimples. Actual acne is bacteria, infections and hormones, and all the exfoliation and OxyClean in the world can't touch it. My heart goes out to people with actual acne. If you just get pimples like these folks, go wash your face.
I’ve been dealing with acne since I was 8. I get bullied and teased a lot in school and even in my family. I’m 12 now and nothing has changed at all...😭🙁
people has different type of skin and blood, you have to find whats good for your face and what can take your acne off, the problem is you have to try everything but be careful , some things can go permanent. our family's bloodline has acne and it has no cure, we have to wait until we age 21 or something close to that, be thankful for your self.
Try Benzonite Clay mixed with Apple Cider Vinegar it helps really well with acne or try Curology don't try cleansers or face washs nothing like that that causes the break outs
Of course, because they only had one treatment done. I highly doubt you'd see a big difference after just one treatment. This likely requires multiple ones. But the treatments were free so I'm sure Buzzfeed just told the participants to act like there was a huge improvement already and praise it.

Lol
Emily LOL DEAD
Emily i dnt get it 😭
Loooolll hunger games

All they did was give them an expensive exfoliation lol
Beth Sands how much did it cost?
Right just thinking that
It's not the same as a drugstore scrub.
Those scrubs actually worsen the acne.
DrinkwithaMexican Wow. Thanks for that info.
this is literally called microdermabrasion and it does not get rid of acne.. all it does is exfoliate the dead skin cells and removes/lightens hyperpigmentations/blemishes/scars on the skin. doesnt stop you from acne.. in fact, i would not recommend anyone who has active acne to do this procedure because it can pop the pustules and spread it around the face causing even more bacteria to spread thus more acne.

This needs to be pinned.
Whitney H well some different trements help this guy is a profetional
Might have been more impressive with people who have like really bad acne!
Joey Nathan yeah, like me

Paris Werly people who have bad acne want stuff like this to be done on people like them so they can really know if it works. Acne isnt still acne
its not meant for people with bad acne, it would probably hurt and could make things worse.
Joey Nathan Yeah
My friends: you need to stop picking at your skin!!

Here's the best treatment for acne: AcneDone.com
Okay now let’s try it again with people who actually struggle with really bad acne .
Fyi, the camera can't pick up all of your acne on screen to check yourself and stop telling them they have it better. You don't know until you meet them face to face.
Just because someone has not as bad acne as someone else dosent make the acne they have any less bad so stop trying to compare the worst acne
Alana Rabinowitz Yeah, but if they are going to compare how well this works, might as well get a good person to try it o n so that the improvement is more noticeable. Because honestly, they barely have much acne.

Some people have perfect hygiene but still get acne
Her eyebrows are goals tho
Bruh they literally just exfoliated and iced their faces.
Y'all save your money and buy a facial scrub. I'm sure you already have ice cubes

Lily Hudgins I originally cited st Ives as the scrub because It was a random one that came to mind at the time, but my point was that any scrub will do the job
She edited her comment. She originally mentioned St. Ives.
