  • Along Jack's Creek just a short distance from the Juniata in Lewistown, quietly sits the oldest westward bridge in Pennsylvania.

This beautiful masterpiece is yet again completely under water today with the April 3rd 4th 2024 flood as its been so many times before. Amazing craftsmanship and stability.

THAT would have been AWESOME to see.

You should see it when it floods, like it did a few months ago, it's quite a sight. It floods completely on one side and partially on the other, with just the hump sticking out in the middle.

It was all beautiful until the working girls had their Johns in the parking lot, a drug deal went down, and someone was doing some illegal fishing. Lewistown has changed.

@@ODDySEEy yeah there's always no good people lurking around the stone arch.

@@ODDySEEy that's because the bridge is actually just beyond the Lewistown Boro line in Derry Township so the Boro cops aren't there it is in Mifflin County Regional Police jurisdiction and they don't go down that way much at all. I can easily see drug deals going on there but I would never have guessed prostitution seeing how we have 100s of spots much better for that lol.

@@RedneckHillbilly-ho9md Ahhh... on the edge of the Borough. Makes sense. Feel bad for the person who bought the home that overlooks the bridge from the hill.

When the leaves are not on the trees this bridge often catches my eye from 322. I never knew the significance of it until now. And of course, this is why I watch.😉
I spend a lot of weekends just outside of Lewistown. Yes I will be making a stop in to walk across this bridge.
    Great work as always!

It is a really weird bridge to even walk over. I wanna go back with the bike and jump the middle. You will see what I mean when you walk it.

What a beautiful bridge, blends in perfectly with the surroundings, it's as if the setting would look odd without it! Great drone footage and accompanying music, and I was wondering if you would fly it under the arch!

Yeah, I need to check it out again in the fall. It is a small piece (very small) of heaven in a little corner of a city.

Not many viewers are fans of the covered bridges, but this one really had a great history behind it.

You would NEVER have known I was there. It is not like there is a big red 80's paint job truck with a weird guy wearing a wide brimmed hat in a city or anything like that just standing around filming stuff. LMAO!

The trees were sooooo hanging low and there was a bird that was getting really pissy at me for flying around her area. LOL

Wow, just beautiful!!! Thanks as always Scott, you do an amazing job 👏 👍. BTW, the traffic noise didn't bother me, it was that bird chirping.

That bird tried to take out Aeolus several times while I was trying to get a nice shot too.

I was just doing some work in Lewistown, over the weekend. I must’ve been on the wrong side of town. I’ll have to go back to visit this park. Thanks.

This is technically just on the other side of the Lewistown Border when you are going out toward the last highway on-ramp to the Narrows. ;)
