The updated design of the new model keeps its reliable engine choices, such as the 2.8-liter and 2.4-liter turbo diesel engines. Two of the aforementioned mills might be coupled with a manual or automated 6-speed gearbox.
The Hilux has a strong carrying capacity right out of the factory since it is built on the same Toyota IMV platform as the Innova and Fortuner. The Hilux's chassis is composed of a sturdy axle at the back with leaf springs and a double-wishbone suspension up front.

Ang Hilux Conquest 2.8 DSL 4x4 @ ay may fuel efficiency na 15 km/L @ 90 km/h sa highway. It is more difficult than the 2.4-liter engine, although it is quite comparable. The combined fuel consumption of the range-topping variant during the test reached 8.35 liters per 100 kilometers.
The updated infotainment system on this updated Toyota Hilux model now supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The G and E trims of the vehicle have a 6.75-inch screen, while the Conquest variation has a bigger 8-inch display. Only the Conquest, G, and E trims are eligible for the aforementioned function. A 6-speaker audio system is included with all variations, however only the E trim level has 4-speakers. Additionally, all trims-aside from the E variant-come with automated temperature control.
Toyota Motor Philippines introduced the updated model, giving the enduring brand some much-needed flair. The 2017 Toyota Hilux has a revamped set of LED headlights, tail lamps, and fog lamps that should provide a nice nighttime illumination in addition to its new front.
On the other hand, multi-reflector halogen headlights are standard on Hilux models that are not Conquest models. Depending on the version you choose, new wheels are also offered. Conquest versions add several tough reinforcements, such as redesigned fender flares, unique decals, and blacked-out wheels. There are eight color choices available for the Hilux, with the Emotional Red option costing an additional P20,000.

High-end models may additionally have music controls on the steering wheel and automated temperature control. The gauge cluster has two dials with a multi-purpose display located in the center.
Even in the most basic model, airbags are a standard component of the safe Toyota Hilux. Standard airbags include those for the driver and passenger, but upgrading to a higher specification level adds two front airbags and a multitude of side and curtain airbags for a total of seven airbags to protect the user. Stability control, speed-sensing door locks, ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution, and braking assist are among the additional safety features that the Hilux may have.
