Interesting. I think I've even seen this before. It would be interesting to hear more of Kim Il Sung's speeches and discussions with world leaders during the tour! Maybe someone can put together a appropriately edited video to accompany this one.
Honestly people think of him as another dictator like his son and grandson but he actually led the country unlike them. Kim Il Sung will always be with us!
It'll be interesting to hear the discussions he held with world leaders during the historic tours. Kim IL Sung is a shining light. Special regards to the DPRK and Comrade Kim Jong Un
you know, this could be just me but when this man died..i truly feel the rest of north korea died with him. If you look at the video of his funeral and the reactions you can tell that was more sincere than when his son died, when kim jong il died it seemed like it was forced cries. I've done research on kim il sung due to my world civics class and he truly tried to make changes for north korea.
Kim was no doubt an iconic figure. He and a few other Socialists leaders tried to create a new Non-Aligned third way which would be completely different from the evangelised American style of Capitalism and the Soviet /Chinese style of Marxism! Also, 1970s was a golden era for both socialism and socialist economic policies the world over. Arab Nations under Baathists regimes were progressing such as Iraq and Syria, USSR under Brezhnev was at its very best, the Vietcong kicked Uncle Sam and the South Vietnamese Forces into the South China Sea and the Yugoslavs were leading the Non-Aligned Movement. Also in Pakistan ...ZAB Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and in Bangladesh Sheikh Mujib ur Rahman had nationalised the Commanding heights of the economy within the private sector which meant that new nations were eager to enter into the existing Socialist bloc.
I think Kim Il Sung was an effectively great leader. He was also misunderstood by the West because of his so-called "misdeeds." I also think that the DPRK made a mistake in invading South Korea in the Korean War, but then again, South Korea is still a country with its own history of dictatorships and occasional economic problems. I don't want to be reminded that South Korea is a great country because it is always not. What's worse is that U.S. troops are still there as an occupying force.
+João Ferreira If I wanted to go to the DPRK to live there, I would. But I cannot afford to do so. By the way, I never told you or anybody about where they should go because I disagree with whatever their views are.
+João Ferreira lol, you are pretty dumb maybe he sees that nk has a better government then "its not obligatory to learn religion but possible to be gay" government of the usa ? or the almost everyone has money communist over the poor capitalist? i live in romania a country that usa ruined i was born in 1995 (6 years after the death of ceausescu) and i saw it scince the 2000s , you profited of our oil our gold our forests our water our weapons our army and even our people for your needs , scince we joined nato and the eu we were forced to share gold for almost free witch is less then how it costs to get it oil the same , forests all brought by ikea and others , our army was placed over 20.000 in iran and afghanistan where my uncle died cause of you guys! and the worst one scince we are a eastern country we have very small movement in other eu countries but they have full on movment our people going to other countries for a better life finding they cant get a job as a romanian and dont have money to come back all because of AMERICA AND CAPITALISM thanks for reading
I'm not one for hating. I actually find this pretty neat. While these people committed atrocious acts, I've found interesting to look at things from the other side of the wall.
You're referring to Kim Jong Il. This is Kim Il Sung -- he flew all over the world. If he were only using rail, he would have had to pass through US-aligned countries to get to Algeria (which would be impossible in the case of the Israel-Egypt border, because there was no rail link at the time), and Mauritania doesn't even have any passenger railways.
the wife died in 1949. theres a theory that she died because of giving birth to a stillborn child. idk my friend, but ur gonna hav to research on internet bout it srry i cant give much info. -YG
THIS man did have personality, always smiling. Usually Communist dictators had emotionless faces, but he was different. Khurschieve was another communist leader ,who used to smile.
TBH as a patriotic American Capitalist, what I wouldnt pay to sit down with beer accompanied by Eternal Kim Il sung & Possibly J.S. or MZD. Absolutely astonishing characters. Whatever people think they are anomalies that have unique insights. Doesnt matter to what, I;d listen to them talk about paper
Actually there are average Joes and average Joes..Kim Il Sung was invited and these trips were propaganda tours to show the "world" and his subjects how important he was in the world...his son didn t travel much because of fear of flying.
No wonder he included Mauritania in his tour, a country where slavery was officially abolished only in 1981. Must have gotten some inspiration to further subdue his countrymen.
The DPRK owes Sweden 300million US$ since 1976..the north koreans hadn t a clue about foreign trade...South Korea took some 20years to build a world power economy...the system in North Korea couldn t build any such thing with that kind of system.
You have to pay Argentine for their crops, the North can t do that..and if the aren t starving, why this demands on the US all the time..but youre right about not open up..because the most importan t thing for them is loyalty to the leader, doesn t matter that their children starve or that their border troops beg chinese for food or that their embassies has to reort to smuggling to pay their bills..just loyalty to the Kims matter.
Amazing how they are welcoming he was a leader
Interesting. I think I've even seen this before. It would be interesting to hear more of Kim Il Sung's speeches and discussions with world leaders during the tour! Maybe someone can put together a appropriately edited video to accompany this one.
The greatest event in the history of Mauritania! 😆
Well, for that shitty little county that's probably true.
Kim Jung Un looks just like his granddaddy.
its almost like they are related
It's almost like his grandfather
Surprised to see this in English. He sure traveled a lot.
What an extraordinary man
Honestly people think of him as another dictator like his son and grandson but he actually led the country unlike them. Kim Il Sung will always be with us!
Agreed. Sad to see how his son and grandson turned out.
However he was the one who started the Korean War in the first place
thank you for your video, nice visites
It'll be interesting to hear the discussions he held with world leaders during the historic tours.

In retrospect it's surprising that he did this, since he was merely treated as a visiting head of state rather than a god.

the meal system is different in North Korea and the ration is reduced because of limited food stock. BUT that doesn't mean they're starving.

Our leader North Korean song!!!!!!!!!!!!! Song 🎵
What is the name of the song in the beginning?
Two great leaders, Kim Il Sung and Nicolai Ceausescu. It doesn't get any better.

+João Ferreira Like I said: KNOCK IT OFF, YOU DOLT!
+João Ferreira Continue with what? You are just being a jerkoff.
+João Ferreira lol, you are pretty dumb

He never liked flying, always took the train from what I've read about him. I wonder why the music tends to switch in places.
You're referring to Kim Jong Il. This is Kim Il Sung -- he flew all over the world. The korean war was in the early 1950s so after
than you for your comment , after the 1950 - 1953 korean war
it didn't build an economy but it did build a unified country away from capitalism. Are North Koreans complaining? No. Only you are.
Let me tweet a North Korean real quick and ask.
@hdsfs It's Kim Jong Il who has fear of flying
I said memory?

Да здравствует победа социализма.
He is a guest who comes into someone else's house and he sits like that?

@hdsfs Who started this myth that Kim Il Sung had a fear of flying? If he did, how did he visit Eastern Europe and North Africa?
Actually there are average Joes and average Joes..Kim Il Sung was invited and these trips were propaganda tours to show the "world" and his subjects how important he was in the world...his son didn t travel much because of fear of flying.
@KickingAssDaily hahaha BURNED!

Pol Pot was his lover
Why he visited these low unimportant countries?
ab c
It is very simple.
If he visits New York, 300 bullets will fly to him.
Lovely American hospitality, truly world class.
And itsa chinese airplane, a CAACBoeing 707...did not the great leader have his own soviet IL-6???
visited to the most backward European countries.
And the most un-well known African countries.
what a diplomacy.
Your knowledge is as backwards as you think how left countries are.
It’s better off to make diplomacy with countries that aren’t well known.
It shows that you care, and to show that they aren’t irrelevant.
Nope.
Propaganda. Where you got this from ? The Pyongyang airport duty-free ?
This video was DISTURBING. This monster never got what Ceacescu got. Hopefully his son will be slaughtered as pay back.
